I got everything that we still "needed" for the baby from babies r us yesterday and kept it under $200. I was proud of myself. However, I'm sure I'll be back one last time. My goal is to get some clothes washed this weekend and set up his crib. Also, I got the baby supplies box down from the attic so I need to go through that and organize what we will and won't use. I guess car seats need to go in the cars relatively soon too. I would like to be ready at 37 weeks just in case and that way I can relax and just enjoy when baby gets here or my rcs date does whichever comes first. I'm with you on trying to get everything done before baby so I can just relax. I need to clean the house one more time, make one more grocery trip for food for next week, and maybe do a little more decorating for the nursery. If I can get those things done in the next day or two then I should have the weekend to just focus on having fun with our little family of 3 (plus MIL, haha). I want to do apple picking and pumpkin patching!

I think the medicine I'm on is making me nauseated. I had some hot tea and a cookie a little bit ago and I have been fighting the urge to throw up. Flashbacks to first trimester.

Reading through all the comments I’m realizing how much I need to do. Name- Jack... still no middle name Carseat- I bought a used one- I need to clean it Bassinet- he’ll use DD2’s that was sitting in the garage for 2 years- I need to clean it Clothes- I’ve bought a lot- I need to wash them I need to find the ergo and wash it I need a new diaper bag... I’m thinking about getting a petunia pickle bottom, but not sure they’re worth the money, I definitely think they’re cute though. I need to start making freezer meals. DD2... I don’t have a clue who will be watching her. DD1 will take her at night because H wants to stay at the hospital, so maybe she can just be with us during the day when DD1 is at work. (DD1 is 21 and just moved in with her BF)

We've got a lot of October birthdays (mine is next week). My Mil wants to take me shopping for a new outfit, is it wrong that I don't want any more maternity clothes at this point? I would much rather she gave me money towards yoga classes or new running shoes for after baby.

Although I just bought 2 new pairs of jeans yesterday. 😂 it’s totally okay to speak up in this case.

H's birthday is in a couple weeks and I have no idea what to get him. Probably something small. I am going to make a reservation at the Melting Pot because we haven't been to dinner in a while. I will be 37 weeks and the baby will be fully cooked, so I am definitely ordering a glass of bubbly.

Anyone here have any advice for flying in the middle of the 3rd trimester? I have compression socks to wear on the flights... anything else I need to consider? I’ll be 33+5 on the way there and 34+4 in the way home. Fortunately it’s only a 3 1/2 hour flight, Los Angels to Dallas.

I would say just make sure to get up as much as you can, since risk of blood clots is higher in pregnant women. The compression socks will help, too. I don't have much other advice!

grumpycat, I only seem to get lightning crotch when I walk, so... yay? Wow beefinch! I'm glad you're feeling calm about it fancy, I was done with this week after Monday! On a scale of 1-10 of being totally over work, I am at an 11. bazi, nice choice on the bag, I think leather for a baby bag would just be way too heavy! mrspiatt, so nice to see you back! Glad your move went well, I can't imagine how exhausting it must have been. Happy birthday quinn! Yay funfetti! catmom88, nice work, sounds like you're nearly ready. I was going to go to Walmart on my lunch break to pick up a few things - waterproof mattress protector etc. Those boring things no one buys you, haha. Maybe your MIL will give you a rain check for after you have the baby for a new outfit laurensc927? That'd be my preference at this time. So many bdays in here, interesting! Mine isn't until Dec 1st, I think I want a clutch from Coach to go in my baby bag, hahaha. However, my DH's bday is coming up soon too thatgolfb, I was also thinking nice dinner out (if baby isn't here yet, I'll be 39w). He just bought himself a new watch because he's like that. Maybe some new clothes. He bought some new sweatpants that he's been living every evening, so maybe he needs a second pair. These ones are light grey, they will show all baby liquids, lol. Seriously, men's brand name sweatpants though, $70+? He buys jeans cheaper than that. It's not like they are even workout appropriate.

Also, let me reiterate how done with work I am. Thankfully I have trained people on a lot of my stuff already and passed it off, so I can spend a lot of my day chatting here and emailing with my mom and SIL. But still, would rather be at home.
I'm in that weird stage where I'm both exhausted and bored at night, it's really annoying.

DD1 decided this morning to epically nap. We're going on 3 hours. I've made the mistake of parking myself on the couch and now it's raining so I've lost all the motivation to do anything.
Also confession: I'm not pre-washing any of DD2's clothes. The NB and 0-3 have been put away for less than a year. So no.

blabbermouth it's usually only when I'm laying on my right side. Baby is head down facing my left side (I think), so I think the position just keeps him or her awake and s/he just fidgets with his or her hands up by his or her face aka right by my cervix. quinn happy birthday! I want funfetti cake too!

Happy birthday quinn!! I woke up with a cold, I felt it coming last night so I tried to go to bed early- of course I was up like every hour and am exhausted this morning. I also am supposed to get my tdap (they forgot at my 28w appointment) and flu shot today. I think I'm going to ask to delay the flu shot until I'm no longer sick. Since it's a mild cold and I currently don't have a fever there really isn't a contraindication but I really don't want two shots. Also- how is it only Wednesday?!?! This is the longest week ever!

Everyone keeps telling me I've "dropped" and I want to say yeah, I can feel her tickling my cervix from the inside, so probably. That'd shut them up

you, my arm is still sore and has a large bump from the TDAP vaccine last week (on Thursday). Hurts like hell - I hope that they do the flu shot in my other arm because I can't imagine having both in this one arm

I have felt miserable for it feels like a month now. The latest is a constant cough that I cant seem to get rid of. I went to the doctor yesterday because I am so done with it and they just said (as I expected) that it is allergies. They did tell me that I could add another allergy med in that I didn't think I could so that is good I guess. Yesterday, last night and this morning were still pretty rough, but I think something is finally helping a little (knock on wood) because I haven't been coughing quite as much. I hope I don't jinx myself though. Nevertheless, I am keeping H up at night and he has not been happy with me for awhile now and I haven't been able to focus on anything baby or house wise. I'm hoping if I can get rid of the cough, then I can start getting some things ready. I still feel like I have quite a bit of time left though.

I am still mostly feeling this kid at the top of my stomach. I am getting a little worried that he is not head down yet. I know there is plenty of time but for some reason I keep focusing on it. Also, I cant believe how close we are getting to our first N17 baby! AHHH librarylady

That'd shut them up DH thinks that baby is gonna come out immediately needing a nail trim. Before s/he dropped, I could feel him/her clawing at the side of uterus. It didn't hurt, just felt odd. This actually hurts I have a history of having a sensitive cervix so it's not super shocking. I'd totally tell people that she's tickling your cervix lmao. People are so darn nosey!

I would much rather she gave me money towards yoga classes or new running shoes for after baby. Could you convince her to get clothes for post-baby? Like nice lounge wear / soft tops and sweaters that will fit for awhile post baby (I'm thinking of open cardigans, etc.). I agree that more maternity clothes at this point is silly, unless you have a specific need.
