I'm getting a mani and pedicure my first week of maternity leave. Possibly sooner if I decide to go after work this week or next (which is more likely). I just scheduled a car maintenance serviced my first day on leave because it is past due and also my check engine light came on. So FX the baby can wait until after 36+2 to come, lol.
I'm past due for a wax too, so I may do that today.

On a happier note, I had my ultrasound with the high risk OB, and my placenta is far enough away that I don't need to be scheduled for a CS! It was the first time in a long time that I left the doctors office feeling good. Yay!

I'm getting my last pregnancy pedicure in a little while. DD requested I get sparkly red polish, which is what I got five days before I went into labor with DS... It's our seventh anniversary today! Add me to the needs a pedicure list! Happy anniversary! +1 and I wish H would go with because he could really use it.

TMI alert I just went to the bathroom and looked down to see so.much.blood. Thankfully (or un-thankfully, really) it's coming from my hemorrhoids, not my vag. Still, I had a mild heart attack. Can't sit down now, so that's fun. I had em so so bad with ds3, I almost considered surgery. I was hoping to skate by this time around but no sir. Right there with you girl. Though I haven’t had bleeding in a few weeks. I did have to take a walk around the house one night to get things moving though. I just upped my colace to 4/day from 2/day after talking to my NP. It seems to have helped keep things moving, but this sucks. DS3 was so low for so long and mine were so bad I went in for a surgical consult too. We opted out because I was 34-35w and she said it could send me into labor. I couldn’t sit and needed help getting up. I had to work from home for the remainder of my pregnancy because of it. I’m hoping that just like with DS3 they literally go away after I deliver.

As of my Thursday blood draw, my bile salts are elevated from the last one. I'm not in the severe range yet, thankfully.
I misunderstood the nurse on the phone and thought she said they would deliver me this week, but she was just talking about this week's blood draw and if I do hit a severe level they would deliver me earlier than we have scheduled. Heart stopped for a second there.

Have you talked with your doctor about this? Itching can be a sign of a pregnancy complication called intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy. I know a few people who had it and have healthy babies. I would mention it to your doctor. she does have ICP unfortunately. I've been so itchy at night lately, but it's not on my hands or feet. I'm still anxious about it though ICP doesn't necessarily have to be in hands and feet. If you feel pretty itchy might want to get tested.

A pedicure is hopefully in my future. I made this master list of things to get done before next Monday and MH and I basically made that list our bitch the last several days. Getting a Mani/pedi and my brows waxed is one of the last things left on the list.

As for when babies come, my doctors will not stop labor once you hit 35w. I don't anticipate going that early, but they make it clear that they consider 35w their point of no return with labor. I am going to ask about this today. I have heard so many conflicting things from people in my area. With DS1 they made it clear that since my water broke and I was past 34w they would induce immediately. But I know other people who were in labor at 34-35 weeks and they attempted to stop labor until 36w. Not sure what the "official" stance is. Probably good to know. I would probably request they not stop it after 35w though.

does it actually make a 'pop' sound!? I did not know this. My water has never broke on it's own. That's scary though. I did not hear mine and I was focused on trying to figure out if I was leaking or peeing when mine exploded. If it made a noise I should have been able to hear it. I didn't hear mine either. I was just sitting bon my couch eating candy and all of a sudden I had wet myself.

AnnPerkins so they continue to test your levels even after a diagnosis. I see my Dr in a bit and I plan on asking him why I haven't been tested again to see if I go into the severe category and need to deliver earlier. Mine were 32 last week.

They just started weekly blood draws last week. Before that, I had my initial diagnosis draw and a second the week after to check if it was rising, then nothing for the last few weeks. I would totally bring it up when you see your doctor. Mine said I could do every 2 weeks if I wanted, but every week gives me more peace of mind.

catmom88 my birthday is coming up and I've been complaining about my upper back hurting. It hit me the other night that MH might get me a spa gift card. Problem is I have my eye on an expensive yoga mat I'd like to get this year lol

Me: nope, I have just under 2 more months to go.
Them: what?!?!! No way!
Haha and here I was thinking that my bump isn't really that big yet.

It was the worst part of my postpartum healing.

I thought about a wax but I've never done it before and I'm not about to start now I'm here too. Last time I shaved, baby burrowed into my cervix and kicked at me the whole time. I can't see it and I don't care at this point. I read somewhere that they don't want you shaving too close to delivery because it can increase chance of an infection but I have nothing to back that up at the moment. *shrugs*

She said between 34 and 35 weeks they will probably still give steroid shots but they won't intervene in labor and will induce if necessary. I suppose this is why every seems so super casual with me since I will be 34 weeks on Saturday. Who cares at this point, right?
