muscari, I just let A nurse until he's done. He's a marathon nurser too, but in the MOTN I try to take him off within 15 mins and put him back down if I can.

So jealous of those of you with goodnight sleepers anyone else still have a crappynight sleeper like me? We actually went for a walk at the park yesterday which was awesome. A friend came over today too which was fun. J slept most of the time of course lol not at night but when people come to see him
My boobs are in pain . We are dine breastfeeding. I fed once during the night but with his nightly agitation and my low supply of isn't worth if. I pumped a small but this morning and hand expressed an hour ago. But damn they hurt.
Also, h returned the formula we bought yesterday even though it was opened. No clue how but j hates it. It smelled awful so I don't blame him. I'm glad because it was expensive and not worth it to upset him more.
Ready for my parents to be here Friday. I'm missing them. I wish my brother would come visit

king26, A is not a good sleeper. I'm lucky to get one 3 hour stretch and the rest is average hourly wake ups. It's worse now since I've decided to transition him from the RnP to the bassinet. Last night was pretty much hourly and wanting to nurse, sometimes I could put him down with rocking and giving a pacifier. I hope tonight is smoother. I'm exhausted after an emotional day and really need sleep. The only true nap he did was in the car seat and I took that time to call the insurance reps again.

Your nights sound like ours. One decent stretch then hour wakevups. Our day naps are hit or miss.

Also I did my first day eff and j you 24 oz. Is this too much? It seems like a lot but I have no clue how much he should have! I was told to calculate daily amount by multiplying baby's weight (in kg) by 150 grams which is ~2.5oz per lbs as a general rule of thumb. You divide the total by the number of feedings to get an estimate per bottle. Obviously some babies eat more others less but maybe this gives you some footing to work with? Havent done the exact math but 24oz sounds okay to me . You could always put in a call with the pedi to double check?

king26 i am sorry your boobs hurt. Is it cause they are engorged now that you are sone Bfing? This hopefully should resolve before too long. π€ I know the whole BFing thing has been a struggle for you and I really hope that switching to EFF will make life easier π And you can be proud of yourself working so hard and giving it your all to make it work this long. Glad you were able to return the new formula! And i hope this week will be uneventful for you and passes by quick so your folks will be here before you know it!

king26, M is a pretty bad sleeper. The most I usually get is one 3 hr stretch, and that is definitely not every night. One night last week she slept 5 hours, but that was a one time occurrence and of course was on a weekend when MH was home and was supposed to get up with her! I have heard that formula fed babues sleep longer/better than breast feed babies, so maybe you will see some improvement now that you're done BFing.

king26 and @easilyunamused. Baby H is sleep twins with your babies. He gets one 3 hour stretch at the beginning of the night and then it's 1 to 1.5 hours from there on out. I'm really hoping that one night it will just magically change, but I'm starting to have my doubts. I think he'd probably sleep longer stretches in bed with me, but I'm just not comfortable with that when he's this small.

king26 Multiply babyβs weight by 2.5 and thatβs how many ounces of formula they should be taking a day. R is averaging five ounces, five times a day - which would be less than that equation because Iβm guessing sheβs slightly over 13lbs.

R usually eats somewhere between 4-5:30pm (will go to sleep around 6:30-7pm) then wakes up anywhere from 12-2am to eat again. Then she next wakes up between 4-5:30am to eat again. I wish it was closer to 6:30am so I could wake up for the day - and, so itβd just be one wake up at night. Iβve tried waking her up before I go to bed to eat to see if sheβd sleep longer, but she still wakes up around 2am to eat - so, it must be her clock.
Tβs long stretch was something like 10pm to 6-7am. Iβve realized I need to stop expecting R to do that so soon. I got lucky with T and itβs not doing me any good trying to get R to do the same. R will hopefully get there soon, but sheβs still considered a good sleeper.

I wish I could get him to take larger amounts at a time but he starts spitting it all up after 3oz. I think he would sleep more if I could get more in him at bedtime. Plus he's eating like 10 times a day which sucks

So I get up foe all motn feedings and DH usually gets up after the first one. So he gets a nice stretch of sleepinitially. Today on feed 3 I got the bottle and gave it to him then sat down. He told me to go to bed.so I did. He didthefeeding alone. I heard cry twice but I fell asleep for an extra 25 minutes . DH came back after 45 minutes, put him dowm, and seemed pretty stressed but he didn't himself, didntbask for help. And let me sleep. This is a big deal! I hope it can happen once everynight!

Yay king's DH. Idk what was up last night but DH was also amazing- N ate at 930 but was so fussy from about 8-10. Finally fell asleep around 10. I needed to pump, was ready for bed by 11:30 with eveeything i needed to get done. Apparently I zonked out because N was up at 1- I woke up when I heard crying- but realized DH had already gotten him and was heating milk up and feeding him. So instead of waking me up like always, he just did everything on his own! So I was like welp ok and rolled back over and when I woke up again it was 3am! Glorious 3.5 hours of almost uninterrupted sleep! And now he's like god I'm so tired! π Yeah buddy. Me too. I've been up since 3am with N who has been fussy sleeping small increments on and off since then. But small victories with the DHs!

Way to go A17 daddy's! H was great last night too. I fed E at 12 but she threw it all up almost immediately. And then was just awake. H took over at 2 and let me sleep until 7. He didn't even wake me when DS got up at 5:30!

Next Wednesday, do you mean the 4th or the next week? If you really think you have a UTI I wouldn't wait too long, but coming Wednesday may be ok... make sure you drink a LOT and loading up with vitamine C helps me as well sometimes. Or cranberry juice but i find that ugh so stick to munching several grams of vit C usually till I can see the dr. I have had tons of UTIs in the past so can usually tell well whether one is coming up and/or already progressed to where I need ABX. What are your symptoms?

Yay at all our hubsies stepping up a notch ππ
And hah D's head circumference measured 38cm at her 1mo appointment which came up +1 on the chart.. Seems all our babies have big heads so how on earth can that be so far over the 50th percentile? Seems like big heads is normal af this age? πππ€
