We leave for AZ tomorrow and I get to meet xolastunicornxo. I'm so excited! I was going to tell you she's really cool but then I realized I only "know" her from the internet. Isn't it funny how I feel like I have met you all IRL? 😘😘

Just got a call from the vet. While Ace's blood work looked good, we went ahead and sent it out to get his thyroid checked as well. He does in fact have hyperthyroidism, which means medication twice a day for the rest of his life. Luckily, she said this medicine comes in a gel form that is applied to the inside of his ear. He'll be happy to know I picked that over the pill. Like hell am I going to try to give this cat a pill twice a day for the rest of his life. Hell no. So hopefully, this new medicine stops his vomiting and he'll be able to live his geriatric years peacefully.

I decided to drop by the pedi’s office after pick up and get flu shots for the girls. It went really well. H whined for a minute but was otherwise fine. S cried a little bit, but she started before I even set her down so who knows how much of that was from the shot. I’m glad to get that off my list of things to do.

I hate drs offices. Our app was at 2, they said to be here at 1:45. I was. It’s now almost 2:30. It drives me crazy.

I got M's the other day when I took H to the pedi for his EI. I need to take him in next week to get his.

That nonsense pisses me off and I hate how our society just forgives it as a given. It's much harder to change at an HMO because the doctor is not in charge of their own schedule , but at private practices there's no excuse. Schedule less freaking patients.

Great! Good heartbeat, measuring right on schedule so probably keeping my 5/8 EDD.

I left work early to grab Chase from daycare. His eye is watery (but not pink or gunky) and he had a 102.1 fever. Looks like I'll be home again tomorrow.
I contacted UPS today to leave a positive note about the guy who picks up by daycare. They reached out for more info and let me know they would pass along the message to his supervisor. Made me happy.

Holy shit. This house is a disaster. L was a cranky mess and I put her to bed at 6:15. C has been throwing a 20min tantrum of nonstop screaming and kicking. Wtf happened to them today and can I go back to work?

klong11 Max has been hyperthyroid for years. He loves pills though so we don't have a problem. He would hate the transdermal application. I hope Ace improves soon.

C was so good after school and for his haircut so he got a toy at CVS. I'm picking up takeout while Dh gets him to bed. So nice!

cagoldi yay for a good ultrasound! And I’m glad the excitement is kicking in! Lol, I still have days where I’m like “holy shit, I’m pregnancy!” My kids are being beasts. I had to take the two little ones to a dr appointment, which was super late and now I’m cranky as all hell. I YELLED at ryland after the ten millionth time he asked me for a snack, after the ten millionth time I said I was about to make dinner. The windows are all open. Nice to meet you new neighbors! And we still have to get Landon to soccer practice and go coach Lucas’s soccer game.

Morning! I've been so tired and just feel like I need break. Unfortunately, I don't see one coming. I'm hoping that maybe in January I can get it together to go away with a friend for a night or 2, but that's a long way off. 3 is proving to be a tough age for me. 95% angel 4% average kid 1% devil. That 1% is wearing thin on me. And I lose my patience more than I should Wow, sorry, that was depressing. Carry on. This is me, too. All of it, except I'm hoping for a day away in December once football is over for us. I also feel like a crappy friend here because I can usually keep up, but never have a chance to post until late. By that time, I forget the conversations and what I wanted to say. The going back to work with 2 struggle is real. I never imagined going from 1 to 2 kids would be this difficult for me. Going from 0-1 was a breeze.

Makes sense. I have so many pictures in my mind! I need to see the reality. First, I need life (and this kid) to chill out! I feel like I'm drowning 24/7. I feel like I should +1 this, too. Drowning indeed. ETA: maybe klong11 can send us C's hot swim instructor to rescue us. 😉

Hey all. It's been a while and I feel bad not keeping up...things have been stressful and crazy. Hoping things calm down soon but im the mean time i will try to keep up reading even if I'm even less interactive than my normal subpar interactions. What's going on? Can we help?

Idk, but he tried getting Cadence to do it that way and I was like, uh, no, we're not teaching her the WRONG way! She still doesn't wipe herself at all, though. Doesn't even attempt to.

We got a birthday invitation for Cadence's little friend B (the one that lives with his grandma). It says no toys for him, bring toys for dogs and cats that they will then donate to the aspca. I think it's a nice idea, but feel bad that he won't be getting any presents...does it then become rude to defy that and take him a gift? What if we take one for him and one for the donation? Maybe not a toy for him, maybe a book or something instead?
