Why does my baby hate sleep? I'm on night 3 of hourly wake ups. I don't know how much longer I can last doing this. Oh man I am so sorry! That is rougher then rough. How is daytime going, can you nap some here and there? Or someone who can help out for a cple hours during the day so you can get a break. Major hugs💛

Major hugs💛 He recently only naps less than an hour now and only while being held. I don't know why the sudden shift, he was napping in the rock and play in the afternoon for about 90 mins. MH does what he can, but I'm on my own most of the time because of his job. It's just been extra rough these last few days and I don't know if it'll get better.

@easilyunamused. It sucks. I commiserate. Mine has been the same way wanting to just sleep on me during the day now unlike before. I attributed the behavior to a growth spurt/leap. I sure hope it doesn't last.

Hopefully it's just a short phase ladies. Last week on Sunday and Wednesday j was like that and would only sleep on me. It was exhausting but I can't imagine it happening multiple days in a row. That's rough. Hopefully they are just going through a leap and Will be better soon.

@easilyunamused I'm so sorry. I know you said your H can't really help because of his job, but YOUR job right now is to take care of baby and you can't do that effectively if you're sleep deprived. I'm hoping it's just a phase and will pass soon.

muscari yay for D STTN! I guess that's what happens when she fusses all day 😆 king26 I would be so annoyed with work bothering me. H was off for 2 weeks after P was born and his work phone was constantly blowing up. I'm like "ignore it, they know you just had a baby dammit!". I'm glad I can't access my work email from home. I have gotten a few texts from coworkers though.

Add me to the answering work emails ugh. I feel bad because I went out unexpectedly early because of the other shit I had going on so a lot of loose ends were still going on.
I'm sorry about the sleep deprivation ladies, I hope it eases up!
M is sick again, second cold in her 6 weeks of life. Sucks! Everyone said this would happen when the toddler started preschool and here it is. She has her 6 week check up tomorrow and was supposed to have her vaccines but I will probably have to postpone those till she is feeling better.

Ugh somehow part of my previous post disappeared - D. did sleep till late in the morning but to be fair she didnt fall asleep till almost 3am. We started with her last feed around midnight but she was so fussy and cranky at first. But..m Once she slept she slept beautifully into the morning indeed tho so yay! She had some nice naps today as well 1-2 hs so hopefully yesterday and Monday were just the rare occurrences.

Thanks ladies, I knew you'd get it. I'm hoping it's just leap #2 and it'll pass soon. And I'll keep trying to sleep on the glider when he does. It's hard for me to do it!

jt2378 i'm sorry M is sick again! I'm paranoid of DS bringing something home from daycare. It's only a matter of time. Hopefully you won't have to postpone her shots.

Speaking of shots, for those who have been through it, any tips? Should I have some infant Tylenol or something?

Ugh I worry about shots. We had the 2nd hep B shot on Monday and j wailed. I was glad I'm still partially breastfeeding because he was so upset he refused bottle but went right in my boob to calm down. The next set of shots are 2 shots and a liquid. I'm not looking forward to that though I am looking forward to being able to take him out and about after those shots. Right now he goes around the neighborhood and in the car but not in any places.

How do you decide if your baby has reflux? We try to burp N every 1-2oz when he's bottle feeding but he still always has spit ups. Sometimes they're small little spit ups but other times it's legit and I feel like up to half an oz or something. Is this reflux?

I know some people recommend giving Tylenol before the shot but my pedi told us not to. Also, I forget if it's Tylenol or Motrin, but one of them you can't administer to babies 6 months or younger. I think it's Motrin.

And I've jinxed myself. J is a fuss bucket today. He's only laying down for 30-45 minutes at a time and is up for 2 hours in between. If course DH is gone mostbof the evenibg. I always get the rough days!

Sometimes they're small little spit ups but other times it's legit and I feel like up to half an oz or something. Is this reflux? They told us reflux is spitting up with almost every feed. That's with burping and without. We were worried about it and he spits up several times a day but not every time. So they are watching it but don't think he has it.

@easilyunamused, yes they usually say not to give Tylenol beforehand but ok after. They will tell you the correct dosage based on weight. And it is Motrin you are supposed to wait 6 months like jexxa said

Does anyone have footed pajamas that zip from the bottom that they love? Carters! I second Carter's!! I love those. That's mostly all baby H ever wears bc laziness and they look cozy! But now I'm confusing myself about the zipper. They zip to the top. Is that what you meant or where you looking for ones like the Halo sleep sacks where the zipper pull thing is at the bottom when it's zipped?

Does anyone have footed pajamas that zip from the bottom that they love? Do you mean ones that start open at the top and zip down so you just have to unzip from the bottom up? If so, I have a few from target's cat and jack that a friend gifted us and we like them a lot!

Yes, one that zip from the feet up to the neck so you don't have to unswaddle in the MOTN for changes. addymac

Found these online but I have a bunch of different ones with cute designs with the bottom up zipper

Ohh i love those kind of sleepers or what is it that you call them. They are comfi for baby, and convenient for mama and they make D. look so cute too. I have several of them and evemlm though not all of them have footies I just love them. Mime have pushbuttoms tho not zippers. MH would love zippered ones cause he dislikes the pushbuttons 🙃
Eta: okay with pushbuttons I actually mean snaps LOL. Thank you google translate 😁

I swear my child will not poop unless one of us are holding him. He always poops as one of us has him lol. It's always accompanied by loud, wet farts and it makes me giggle. I such a child.
