muscari we're struggling with fussiness too but in the evenings. It's anywhere from 7-11 it seems. My parents are watching the kids Friday night so H and I can go out to dinner for our anniversary and I'm worried about how P will be. Like I'm seriously considering going to dinner early so that we're back early. I don't know that I'll be able to relax at dinner otherwise 😔 This was us last Friday, we had a 5:30 reservation and we were home around 7:30 lol. Early bird special for the win 😂 I really do think this is what i'm going to do. H should be home from work by 4:45 and the place we're going is 5 minutes down the road. I'm also trying to avoid being gone long enough that i'd have to pump.

Sorry to hear your BP is causing you to feel unwell still even while on meds cwbh928 😕 Maybe an idea to consult with yr doctor, that may help with your anxiety as well? king26 yay for some longer stretches of sleep even id it is at 8pm! I hope your night is decent as well. What a lovely idea of YH to send you dor a massage, so sweet, you deserve it! I hope you can really relax and not worry much about J and YH Thanks! I probably should talk to my doctor about the blood pressure anxiety

Good luck addymac! Mine is like that today too. I must be holding him or he's freaking out. I may not have eaten breakfast yet. I'm pretty sure this is just a phase though.

Hugs muscari king26 hope every thing was perfect when you got home and you can relax more next time. I haven't left her home with dad yet. Will do on Sunday 😬 cwbh928 I really hope your BP gets under control fast I had a dream I had another baby and I lost it.... I'm home and J is asleeo. DH said he was only up for about 2 hours and was just a little fussy. He took him for a walk, played on the play may, and recorded diaper changes, bottles, and sleep:-) I feel much better knowing everything went well. I have an out of town dr. Appointment next week so I'm feeling better about leaving J with DH while I go. Whew. I'm sorry about your dream. That sucks

So when your babies are done feeding but are awake so they just sit quietly on you? When J is done eating he is cranky and cries. I either has to carry him around and sing to him or play on the play harbor something. People keep telling me there isn't much to do at this age and I know it but he just won't sit after he's done eating. If I put him in a carrier he falls asleep right away but sometimes he has only been up 20 or 25bminutes and that doesnt seem long enough awake and then the next time he is up he's up for like 2 hours and I run out of things to do with him.

Yep that is D. today as well. Have to admit this is the first time she is this cranky and fussy.. it started yesterday. I was hoping she'd be less cranky this evening but alas. Then again it doea give MH a good idea of what I been dealing with.. I am just confused.. I had expected this while she was going thru her first leap (last week)? But she got thru that much easier then I expected. Maybe the new things she learned and is learning still is a little too much for her now?

Sometimes I try to play "hands shoulders knee and toes" ... sometimes we just sit. Sometimes I put him In his swing. Or I lay him on my chest for tummy time. And I just am kinda like err.... now what?? 🤷🏻♀️

king26, yeah M hardly just chills and is crying and cranky too although today I felt like we had more chill times which was a nice change. muscari, it's possible D is maybe starting the leap? Those dates are just estimates so perhaps that's why she seemed to be fine going through it. Just a thought

Just a thought Yeah, I thought about that too BUT she's already doing several of the things she learned during her first leap so then she'd be doing the learning and fussyness in opposite order? Our guess is that she's just not feeling 100% atm, with the thrush and the bad cold she has. I picked up her rx at the pharmacy today so hopefully we can get a grip on the thrush soon at least.

king26 there are different awake times. When R is awake for long stretches, I don’t do anything special with her and I didn’t do anything special with T. I just kind of move R around. Sit here, lay here... when she fusses I change it up. Like, we will talk a little, but nothing major. Once they’re interested in toys/objects then you can change it up. Right now, I feel it’s about eating, sleeping and pooping.

D. used to fall asleep pretty soon after nursing but lately had been up for such long stretches and has been fussy while awake I often am at a bit of a loss too. She used to be content just sitting or laying on me but now I have to be more active heh. Sometimes I rock or carry her, we listen to music and I sing to her, I try distract her with a rattle toy, stufd like that. and sometimes I put her in the stroller and we go for a walk. The latter so far has put her to sleep but I cant always go for walks when I'd like her to sleep. I bought an activity mat/baby gym but have yet to try it out. I think once they get a little older it will be easier to do activities with them.. or I hope so anyway.

king26 I would not worry about awake versus sleep time at this point. Some days my son is awake for an hour asleep for 15 mins awake for 30 with no pattern. At this same age my daughter would sleep 8 hours during the day and still sleep all night. There is not much you can do unfortunately.

I've been a bad internet friend lately, I'm sorry! We are staying so busy with work plus apparently having 3 kids keeps you busy. Who knew 😂🤷🏼♀️ I joined a MOPS group for my sanity, DH surprised me with a day date of massages and lunch this past weekend. Baby is super chill and perfect except this wonder week is kicking our butts and she's also killing my back at almost 14lbs 😳 My toddlers on the other hand....are giving me a run for my money.

I think J officially knows day from night. We have a bedtime routine of boob, swaddle, bottle, bed and he sleeps the longest after this routine. I'm glad because I know my first stretch will be decent even if only 3 hours.
Day naps are still hit or miss. Might be 2 hours might be 30minutes .
I'm tired of getting work emails while on leave . Everyone needs me. I get it, I'm the only sped teacher for 7 graded but you have a sub and my aide! I answer some but they are going to be Sad soon. After 6weeks I no longer get paid and I'll no longe4 answer emails either. Yesterday I had 4 emaiks. It was excessive. I answered 2.

So D slept through the night for real for the first time! Granted thag night didnt start till almost 3am (we started her night time feeding at around midnight.... meh) but she slept till around 8.30 with only a brief fuss around 6.30 but she soothed herself back to sleep without us in like a minute. We also all slept upstairs in the bedroom together the 3 of of us for the first time since we got home. I need to get used to MH again lol!

That is great that J seems to get a bit of a rhythm and routine! I too always been glad D would sleep longest for her first stretch. Would give me a bit of rest before heading back inro crazy newborn land heh. Sorry work keeps bothering you with msges! I am not sure I would have answered them or put up an auto response msg till the end of my leave. king26

Why does my baby hate sleep? I'm on night 3 of hourly wake ups. I don't know how much longer I can last doing this.
