New week, new randoms. My phone keeps autocorrecting randoms to fandoms 🤔 I was spit up on and shit on before 9am today. How's everyone else's morning (or day for muscari) going?

I thought my morning was bad. My 1 year old won't stop crying for no reason! I can't wait until the sitter gets here so I can go for a run and destress...

I'm so over this weather! It's too hot to take the twins out for a walk. Dropped DS1 off with grandma bc he was toddlering way too hard this morning.

Some time ago someone typoed the weekly randoms into weekly ransoms and for some reason whenever I post a new random I want to type ransom

muscari This will be my first in almost a year but I need it so I don't hurt the 60 something men I work with who think I should give a ( insert expletive of choice) about their feelings. Their emails on top of crying toddler not really helping my day. But she is napping an hour early so hope that helps!

@starzia I am enjoying my mornings with D as well. We got our little routine which is nice and cosy. On MHs days off I actually missed my morningtime with D (but I know I got to share her with daddy lol).

My morning has been okay so far! Today is the first day in about 6 weeks I am finally on my own. I was anxious, but glad to be able to get in my own rhythm.
Hudson woke at 7 and DS1 woke at 7:45. Its nice to get some alone time with baby before DS1 gets up. I can really play, work on tummy time and other developmental exercises.
Breakfast went better than I thought, although it is always struggle to get DS1 to eat!
I even got a chance to vacuum the entire upstairs and downstairs. Thank god for baby sling!

Yeah this weather sucks. It's going to be 90 here today. I guess if I want to go for a walk, I should do it now.
@starzia that sounds similar to my mornings with P. I spend most of my days on the couch watching tv while P naps on me. No regrets.

+whatever I this freaking heat wave. It's been in the high 80s here and I am so over it. N gets so hot in his car seat, i hate keeping him in there and I can't shield his arms legs and head Enough if he's in the carrier for a walk, so I just gave up going on walks during the day lately. I suck.
Do your babies have routines yet? N is still all over the place, I have no idea when he's going to eat or nap or anything.
Yesterday I successfully showered with just N and I at home. But today I need to was my hair and I am so nervous. Yesterday he started crying as I was getting out of the fastest shower ever- if I had been washing my hair it would have been another 5+ min. I know he's not going to die if he cries but when I can't see him I get so nervous something is actually wrong, and I'm ignoring an urgent cry and not just a regular cry. How do you ladies do it??

Today's walk is canceled. It's already 85 out there and P just wants to nurse and cuddle it seems. addymac no routine yet. I'm not even attempting it really. I feel like it's still too early. For showers, I try to time it for when she's napping. Although a lot of times when I put her down in the RnP she wakes up within a few minutes. Sometimes I get lucky and she just sits there contentedly, sometimes she fussed and i've had to learn to just let her fuss. I need my shower dammit!

Me, I simply don't. I shower when MH is home. I just can't imagine feeling okay and relaxed showering knowing she may cry. Maybe when she sleeps and I expect her to sleep for at least another 30 mins I will .. but her naps are all over the place still during the day.

I looked up and watched the baby language video on Oprah today. We watched it with T, but did it close to the three month mark. So, now we’ve been trying to decode R’s cries. I’m not sure if it’s really accurate, but I feel like it helps H and I to focus on trying to determine what the cries mean.

Hot here, too. H talked about going to a park, but going to the mall play area might be better.
R doesn’t have a routine. But, I document when she eats then I can see that she’ll eat again in 3-5 hours. She is more awake in the morning hours after eating. She naps more in the evening.

It's hot here too but we got a walk in at 9 when it wasn't too bad.
J has been a champ napping today and has nursed several times and I pumped 2 ounces twice! I'm still confused on what to do breastfeeding whose as it seems we have 1 good day and 1 bad.
Our 1 month appointment isn't until 3 and I feel like it's taking forever

Today is definitely trying. Had to drop my car off at the dealership to get a recall fixed, which meant the kids and I had to take DH to work. DS is sick and cranky. DD has only slept for like 20 minutes since 7:30am. I have changed my shirt and nursing bra 3 times bc of a ton of spit up. Trying to do laundry and maybe wash the sink full of dishes at some point. Ahhh!

addymac. No real routine here. I try to walk him every morning in the stroller but he started crying today, so I had to cancel. I shower by waiting till he's asleep, then setting him on the boppy lounger (on the floor) in the open door of the bathroom. That way if he starts fussing, he's right there.

Our pedi appointment went well. D. passed all tests and best of all she gained almost half a kg and weights 3910gr now (3480gr at birth).
I honestly didnt know whether that was good or not but apperently it is 😊 She is just below the 50 percentile so I take that as a sign that things are going okay with BFing and we are feeding her enough the way we do now. I had thought to feel relieved and better about myself and breastfeeding but I am still feeling insecure and sort of .. I don't know really. Maybe it needs some time to sink in.
Had made a list with some questions to ask and I was given some advice on my questions tho nothing really new.. but at least it means I am not doing anything really wrong I guess.
It is okay for her sleep thru the night and let her wake up herself, as long as she doesnt sleep longer then 10 hours straight (rrrrrright!). Once she reached 5kg she can sleep as long as she wants (tho really, which kid sleeps 10+ hours??). I am excited to sleep more then 3h stretches haha tho of course now I won't be surprised if she will decide to be a little dragon tonight just cause. 😜
She does have thrush sadly, as I feared. I noticed this last week and we followed the advice given to try and nip it in the bud but it isn't helping so we will try nystatine next. Oddly enough the pedi couldnt give us the rx so I have to call my GP tomorrow for that. And I wonder that this maybe is the reason D has been fussier on the boob these past days! so hopefully once the thrush is treated that will help things as well. I hope it will help relatively quick cause the itchy nipples are driving me nuts since yesterday!
What else... can't think of anything atm!

Who else was dealing with thrush earlier? addymac or @starzia I think? Did the nystatine work well - and how long did it take to clear things up?

muscari, i bet the thrush is definitely contributing to her fussiness, if not the main and sole reason. poor D! hope you get the nystatin soon and it resolves ASAP!

Was it you who was dealing with this a cple weeks ago? Did the nystatine work well and how long did it take before you noticed a difference? Was it difficult to get it applied in babies mouth?

Sorry I've been MIA lately. M has been a handful the past few days. She screams any time I'm not holding her which makes it impossible to get anything done. I'm typing this on my phone as she snoozes on my shoulder and I look around my disaster of a house that I really wish I could clean while she sleeps. I hope this phase she's in passes soon! On the plus side she's slept 5 hrs the past two nights (of course while MH is home). Hopefully she does it again tonight when he goes back to work.

@starzia man I smell lately too. Like deoterant isn't working.
So J weighs 8 and a half pounds and is 20.75 inches whichbis 14th percentile for both. This is great as he was 8th percentile last time. Yay! They said he looks good and should start sleeping longer at night soon. His head circumstance is 88th percentile so I wonder if he has finished his first leap and that's why he was so crabby the last few days

cali housework is overrated and a tidy home impossible when caring for a newborn - I have realized that much hahaha! I manage laundry and the kitchen and bathroom and that s about it.. the house is in desperate need of a vacuum cleaning ugh. Yay for M sleeping 5h - I hope she gives you more of those! Does P. always work nights only?

king26 so glad to read J has gained some more weight and went up to the 14 percentile! Yay! I hope he will give you some more sleep soon ☺ D. measured +1 for head circumstance (for some reason the chart didnt give percentiles but went from -2 to 0 to +2?) which made me think of what WW wrote about that and their first leap as well. D. finished hers a couple days ago.

Unofficially, yes. I decided I had thrush but Nsmouth seemed fine. So his dr wrote a prescription for him but told me to apply it to myself so I never had to give it to him. Sorry
