I am at a continuing education conference. I've been bored since before it started.

I waited for an hour at the doctor's office for a blood draw, and now I'm waiting forever in line to get breakfast since I had to be fasting. I wasn't planning to use sick leave today, but it looks like I'll be using a good chunk.

M is 6 months old today! She's getting some avocado and milk in a straw cup tonight to celebrate. Her mission in life right now is always to get J's water cup so she will be quite thrilled to get her own, one that she can actually drink out of.

One presenter has said "um" over 180 times.
The topic was hospice care.

I feel like I say that every time I see how big all of your babies/kids are, but seriously I thought she was a newborn still.

M and H are upstairs and they're supposed to put all of M's books back on her shelf (they pulled them all off).
I mean, I'm sure they're not doing it. But they're not yelling and I'm alone downstairs, so I'm taking it.

I know he can clean his entire room by himself, I've watched him do it, but he is so darn stubborn. I finally gave up because he kept threatening to go to sleep and it's too late in the day for that. I'm not going to clean them up. I'm not. I'm not. He can do it tomorrow.

I said I was giving up beer for the month of September. I made it 8 days. I just cracked a Cold Snap because, children. It's the last one I had in the house fridge so it should be easier to not drink another one for the rest of the month. Those four bottles of wine on my counter though......

I have a potential work trip to Albuquerque (wow that's hard to spell) in March. It's not required- but a conference we could send someone to. Like me.
Ughghhhh. It's so far away. But it's somewhere warm in mid winter. And somewhere I've never been and probably wouldn't randomly ever go there.
But being that far it's probably a four day trip. Which would be really hard for BM given that I do 100% of drop offs and 75% of pick ups during the week.
But four days alone. Paid for. Warm. Sigh.

We sitting here discussing schedules and plans for next September. It's ridiculous. The way K works here we don't know hours or school until like April. But we need to register P for day care ASAP if we want to be choosy about hours. Wtf.

Do it. Treat yourself. You guys can figure it out. +1 +2 I am sooo looking forward to my 4 day trip in January that I had a mini panic attack that if DH was seriously injured between now and then, I wouldn't be able to go. Because THAT would be my main concern...

There will soon exist some cheese made with one of my beer hot sauces. That is all I can say right now.

Job interviewer: This is the salary we're willing to offer you.
Me: That's fair. But could you do better if I was willing to accept cheese?

There's nothing more soothing in the morning than the sound of the roomba, mickey sing along on the tv, ipad noises and Scout ALL AT THE SAME TIME.

You know what sucks about front facing your kid's car seat, besides the all encompassing parental guilt? Said kid can now see what you're snacking on in the front seat.

I feel so bad waking M up to take J to preschool. And it's usually twice each day, once to take him and then again when we have to go pick him up. Waking sleeping babies is against everything I stand for.
