Speaking of spitting, at what age do you teach kids how to spit? And how does one go about doing that? I should probably think about it since Nugget will be 2 soon..

All 3 girls have fevers and noses running like faucets. So many tears and boogies already today and it’s not even 2pm. Oh no! Our area has a viral thingy going around with the fever, stuffed noses, and croupy cough at night. Hope your girlies get relief soon! Thanks! That’s exactly what it sounds like. Hopefully they get over it quick as I’m solo parenting Sunday-Thursday while DH has work travel.

We started around 2.5 when she was able to hold the toothbrush and really brush herself. And you teach by example. Hold the water/toothpaste suds in your mouth and spit it out "like so" (and demonstrate). My A didn't figure it out until 3 ish

That sounds like what w just went through, but also included some vomit. Was not fun. Not looking forward to round 2. I hope your 3 get to feeling better soon, mc13. W's fever only lasted 12-ish hours. Oh man. I hope no one gets anything stomach issues. And thanks! Hope you all stay healthy too!

Hopefully they get over it quick as I’m solo parenting Sunday-Thursday while DH has work travel. A had a fever one night and low-grade one morning. The cough was tough, but we did a nebulizer with saline. Your little ones may need something stronger in if they get the cough, since their airways are smaller.

I had to keep L home today because she came down with a fever yesterday afternoon and was still a feverish zombie this morning. Girlfriend watched 3 episodes of Daniel Tiger, took a 3 hr nap, barely picked at her lunch, played for a bit, took a 2 hour nap during which her fever broke (yay!), and had a fabulous evening of laughing with her brother and eating all of her dinner. I'm so glad she's feeling better and glad I was able to get all my work done during her naps!

pbandj714 thanks! I’m glad L is feeling better too! It’s so hard when they can’t tell you what’s wrong.

I don't understand the spit teaching It's so they don't just swallow their toothpaste when brushing.

Z has started with the croupy cough, so I'm fully expecting DC to call at some point today.

I have F today and E has no school, so I have her and the neighbor.
I really want a nap and a shower. That is not going to happen today.

There is a company that I just placed an order from that I think is based on a family last name, but when glanced at quickly, looks like "Dufuck?!" So that's what I think of every time I get an email from them.

Discovered that Nugget stashed her half-eaten baby carrots in my purse yesterday. Thanks, kid, just what I wanted to find in my purse while looking for my keys.
