How is everyone feeling this morning?
I know it's been a crazy weekend, and I'm sure it will only get crazier from here on out.
I'm just hanging out waiting for H to get to the hospital. We've decided since DS is in the NICU it's best for H to go to my dad's at night to be with DD and so we can both try and get some decent sleep. I wish they had live feeds too the NICU rooms so I can peek in on DS since I can't go down there right now.

Happy Monday everyone! I can't believe we're getting even more O17 babies arriving!! This is so exciting, and I'm rooting for all the moms and their little babies to stay healthy and thrive.
Pretty good start to the week over here. DH and I are closely following the Irma coverage and trying to see how Miami and SWFL were affected. I know flooding was so sporadic - hoping our family members' places were spared from significant damage, but I don't think we'll find out until it is totally safe for people to return to their homes. At least I know everyone is safe - that is a huge relief.
I'm also paranoid that my water is going to break, because my bump feels so tight and painful. Baby has also been making lots of big rolling moves - makes my stomach look so creepy. Hoping to make it to my doctor's appointment on Thursday to see if baby is still breech. I'll be one day shy of 35 weeks at that point.

I'm working from home today. Saturday evening my hips and lower back started hurting pretty bad because I overdid it on Saturday trying to get a bunch of stuff done while DS was at the ILs. I woke up feeling better yesterday but last evening I started hurting again and it really affected my sleep. Plus DS slept terrible last night so, you know....struggle bus over here today.

mkrupar, I hope bubs is sprung from the NICU soon. Will the nurses wheel you down there in a wheelchair so you can check in on him? I ordered a bunch of stuff for Little Bit's nursery and am starting to organize that room, finally! I want her to have a really special room like DS did when he came home. We already had the crib and changing table and a rocking chair, but I ordered some decor, a new rug, storage bins, a bookshelf and a new hamper. It's a blue room but we're adding some gold and pink accents and some butterfly themed decor. I got a throw pillow with an 'S' on it for her first name. That made DH tear up. And there is a hint on what her first name will be!

moonandback141, not only that, but all these babies so far have been coming at 34-36 weeks. I'm 35 weeks today and definitely feeling anxious that baby could be a September baby instead of an October one! I want him to keep cooking so that my maternity leave lasts through Christmas... lol.

bootsorhearts1 I updated in my baby thread, but the doctor doesn't want me leaving my room because they've given me a new BP med and they're checking my BP hourly right now.

Rainy and windy here. I'm working from home again today and tomorrow. DH is home since his work closed today, and DS is acting like a pain. I think he does better when it's just us here - it's like he knows to find something to occupy himself with.

Morning! I'm 38 weeks today. I've recently noticed that this baby has dropped a little -- H noticed it too -- so that is weird since it's something I did not experience with DD.
The 73 household is still miserable with colds, just trying to do the least over here...which is tough considering we have stuff on the calendar every day this week, not to mention that I have the constant urge to cook/clean/nest because OMG 38 WEEKS.

Hi everyone. Sorry I've been MIA. I'm excited to catch up- can't believe October 17 babies are arriving! YAY!
Work was crazy busy the last few weeks and I had a brief health scare and was hospitalized overnight a few weeks ago. Everything is fine, it was just weird. I've been feeling a bit anxious/overwhelmed and disappeared. Sorry I've been missing everything, I'm looking forward to getting back into things.
Baby is breech right now measuring kinda big, so I have a csection scheduled for 10/4. I'm hoping baby will flip and I'll go into labor on my own before then, but my doctor doesn't seem super optimistic about a vbac right now.

CoachTsWife that sucks, it's so easy to overdo it at this stage without even feeling like you are! Hopefully WFH helps to take the edge off.

We had a crazy busy weekend! DD's birthday party was Saturday and DH and I played tourist in our own town and went to a baseball game yesterday. After not sleeping well Saturday night I was exhausted by the end of it! Thankfully I slept pretty well last night and feel (only slightly) more rested today.
WFH today. DH is home with DD on Mondays so we are all home together. My day looks pretty low key so hopefully I get some play time in with DD today too! We celebrated her a lot this weekend but she was consumed by friends and family - I barely even saw her. I miss my girl!

Crazy that babies are starting to arrive! I'm only 33 weeks so I'm hoping this baby stays put until at least the 27th of October. I am trying to maximize my leave with my company's holiday days so I need this baby to cooperate.
I came into work expecting others to have their shit done so I could wrap up a few things. Apparently that's too much to ask. Now I'm cleaning up messes and miscommunication. Stupid Monday.

cougarette DD is generally better when it's just us too, it took a LONG time to settle into a new routine with MH being home on medical leave :\

This is me today I want to be left alone but it's way too busy today to sit in my cube. But I'm almost done work and will be off for the year and will miss some of this craziness. DD was in such a great mood this morning and was totally adorable. Made my heart melt. It's days like this that I want to stay home and hang out with her. So many babies here and IRL. A girl that I did my prenatal class with just had her 2nd yesterday just after midnight. We saw her 13 hrs earlier Saturday. She must have been walking her baby out! I'm getting more and more excited to meet the squish!

Also, have we talked about hospital visitors? Mainly, how to keep people away until ready to see people. I'm starting to get very anxious about keeping everyone at bay until we are ready for visitors and I want DS to be the first one to meet baby no matter what. I also have a husband who is a social butterfly and keeping him reigned in will be difficult as well.

Baby was breech for me up until about a week ago. I tried acupuncture with moxibustion. No clue if that's what actually did it but my doctor was the one who recommended it. When they put the needles in my pinky toes and then when the moxibustion started smoking, so much movement!!! It was super interesting.

I also have a husband who is a social butterfly and keeping him reigned in will be difficult as well. I am worried about this too because DH has a huge extended family here. Not only is there hassle in having people there all the time, but I worry about exposure to infection diseases since she will be born early. I have told DH, and a close friend, to help manage the flow of people. We will ask them to limit to one couple/individual at a time and no longer than 1 hour visit. And we will have a sign that means 'I need to pump/nurse so people need to GTFO' so I don't have to be the bad guy.

We did text pictures to our parents. DH went along with what I was comfortable with.

My work laptop currently doesn't have a battery (I'm getting a new machine when I get back from leave), so when the lights flicker it's turning completely off. Ugh! I'm about to just burn a half day PTO.

All the cooking/cleaning this week to get ready for the big birthday party this weekend. I need to get around to go pick DD up from preschool, then back to home to work.
Just finished cleaning the car out so that I can install the baby carseat.

We did text pictures to our parents. DH went along with what I was comfortable with. This is our plan too. DS will be with the in-laws in the waiting room and when we're ready, DH will go and pick him up and bring him to the room. Or the NICU. Hopefully not the NICU, but luckily our NICU allows kids old than 3 to come in (at least in the low-intervention areas).
