My FB memories reminded me that 8 years ago I was getting ready have my uterus surgery to remove my septum. It seems surreal that in 8 (or so) weeks we will have the family we dreamt about all together. It seems like a lifetime ago.

I made them last time. They were nice in the hospital but I forgot to use them once I got home. So there are still about 10 in my freezer from 2014... Mine would only be for home. At the hospital with DS3 the nurse made me plain padsicles with a newborn diaper and crushed ice inside. It was glorious. My hospital had actual ice packs. I wanted to sit on that thing forever. Once I didn't have that anymore I was all over the dermaplast and tucks pads. I am sure I would have forgotten to use the padsicles if I made them.

So after the whole swollen vagina incident last night I told MH that it did not leave our walls. He just emailed me asking how "you know" was lol.

I feel like this might be a unpopular opinion if it classes as that, but I never once needed those jugs to pour over the vag while peeing.
Everyone warned me the burning really hurts. I had a catheter in for about 16 hours after birth, and I probably peed about 20 hours after birth (so no idea if that helped) but I was like cmon it can't be that bad and I need to wee now.
So I go to the toilet and nothing... just a normal pee. It felt swollen (hello 9lb 10oz baby) but it never hurt.
And I had a very big episiotomy (yes the worst you can imagine, a big X from vag to bum) and that what hurt the most to heal, it was quite uncomfortable sitting down for a good 10 days. But all in all, my recovery was quite quick and easy. Only bled for about a week also, heavily for the first 4 days.

TMI alert, but holy hell this week has been awful with gas pains and constipation. 29 weeks this week and measured a week ahead at my appt last week. I go between constipation and needing to use Immodium. This pregnancy has wreaked havoc on my digestive system. I'm also having more Braxton Hicks. I dont remember ever feeling them in my last pregnancies. Baby likes to be up in my ribs already. Pressure on my pelvis and vag. Feeling miserable wayyy sooner! And I've even gained way less weight and am more active this time around. They just keep telling me "I'm a few years older and this is your third one". Okayyy then lol. Not even 30 yet but way to blame age 😕 Now that I got the bitching out of the way, I can catch up on threads and say that one thing I enjoy is not worrying about how my belly looks when preggo. I'm in okay shape but my belly is usually my problem area. It's nice wearing whatever shirt I want and not worry if my pooch looks bad!! 😂

Being pregnant at 18 was way easier on my body than being pregnant at 27, or even 23 really. My worst complaint then was having to wake up at 5am every morning to pee. Oh, past me.

DD doesn't have school for the second day in row due to Irma run-off. It really hasn't been bad at all, but we get so few reasons to use weather days here that I think people go all in when there's even a chance of missing work or school.
Anyway, we made two pumpkin rolls because of y'all.

I do use the peri bottle to avoid all the tp until my bits don't feel so dang tender.

Ds3 woke up puking this morning. No clue why but he seems much better now. He even ate a big lunch so not sure what was going on.
Just got back from the MFM scan and baby is still measuring a week ahead. He's head down and has the chunkiest cheeks!

I can't imagine what being pregnant before I was 32, but with each pregnancy it doesn't get easier and I feel much older with #4 at 38, that is for sure. I do know that if this one was head down, like 2 & 3 were from very early, I would be in much more pain.
I think that for anyone it gets harder with each pregnancy because our bodies have a BTDT thing going on.

My 1st I was 20 and it was such an easy pregnancy. But really this pregnancy hasn't been bad at all at 33! I just get tired quicker I think

My easiest pregnancy was my first at 26. This third one at 30 is easier than last year so far. But my new job is also WAY less physically demanding

Hi from L &D. 👎👎👎
I have been having semi regular contractions all morning. Like 4-6 an hour, enough to warrant a call. And the nurse said to come in. So yay. I mean, I got off work an hour early, so semi yay?
I'm 99% sure it is just probably not enough water and being too active.

I didn't get my period until 8 or 9 months after DS was born. And don't come after with pitchforks, but my period was lighter and cramps were so much better. Something about having a baby actually regulated my period that had been horrific from the time I got it at 12yo to having ds. *shrugs* I tried to get mirena after DS and the doc perforated my uterus so I'm hesitant to try that again. I'll only do very low dose hormonal birth control. So definitely a conversation I need to have with my doc. This scares me about the mirena! I have known way too many people that this happened to. Two of them were my close friends. But the Nexplanon was fine for a year and a half and then I got periods every 2 weeks so I was ooooooover that.

I used a little squirt bottle to squirt water instead of wiping, is that what you mean? I didn't have any burning while peeing that I recall. Could be selective memory.

I'm still waiting on them to prep the room... They knew I was coming like half an hour ago but whatever. 😒 Not really contracting much since I have been sitting here, though, which is good.

Sure it's all fine, better to be monitored now since we are all getting in the home stretch. Up that water intake! 🙂

And I literally googled "what do contractions feel like" this morning because I'm #new. Oh there is a contraction. I think.

We aren't supposed to have water in the lab, but I think I'm going to have to start sneaking gulps of it out of my work bag. I can't do this nonsense for another 8 weeks.

It's my boy's third birthday today. ❤️ Our town is still a bit shut down, so there weren't any good cakes or ice cream available, and the bicycle I found is too big. Luckily, he's three and won't care too much, right? I can't believe it's been three years since I left work at 38 weeks for a regular appointment only to be told I was 4cm and contracting regularly. He was born by c-section just hours later. My baby's growing up!!
