I hate wings too. I also think I'm the lone person who hates the mesh underwear. Don't really see the point. It's bigger and stretchy, but I didn't find it all that amazing. I just bought cheap underwear from Walmart and used that. I think I only used the thick pads for like maybe 4 days after getting home and then switched to regular ones (maybe thicker ones for night though). I also didn't bleed very long with my second.

I bought hospital bag supplies today. I've never actually packed one before. It has always been a "grab whatever as we rush out the door" situation. But I've been a big ball of crazy and it seemed like it would help. I just realized the giant pads I grabbed don't have wings, which is probably a huge mistake. They are extra long, though. #glamorousconversations I still have pads from the first time around. They are yuuuuuuuuge.

I actually prefer pads to tampons. But I realize that is very much an unpopular opinion.

I also loved not having a period until 3 months after finishing BFIng, so DD was like 15 months old. Best.

Damn it. One of my asshole cats just chased a centipede looking bug into my family room right under the heavy coffee table. Why can't he just kill these things instead of playing with it?! He is useless. My dog likes to play with crickets that get into the house. He will play like a cat would. The crickets end up losing legs in different spots. He also catches flies...which is very helpful, but can get a bit crazy with a 65lb dog jumping at the window.

I never really did this after DD. I did use a shit load of Tucks and that numbing spray. The numbing spray was amaaaaazing. But I'm not opposed to padsicles and I may try it.

I mean, I wear the hospital underwear while I'm there because...idk, it's also there, but I prefer cotton briefs.

I can make it mostly through the night without having to pee. Usually till about 4 am sometimes till 6 when I'm getting up anyway. However, I am having vag sensitivity issues. Like it's legit swollen. If this isn't a normal 3rd tri symptom my only guess is my underwear was rubbing wrong when I walked the dogs and I didn't notice. And of course I need 500 more steps for the challenge I'm in. Ugh How's that for glamorous AnnPerkins lol Swollen, weird vag is like 50% of the reason I'm anti-sex. It's a mess down there. Or so I assume. I haven't actually seen it in months.

Yeah, I'm going to make sure I have an extra can of that at home. I may try the padsicle. Though I'm more apt to try this spray (maybe not make the pads, but idk). I usually end up putting witch hazel in the peri bottle anyway, may as well try this. www.modernalternativemama.com/2014/04/18/making-postpartum-padsicles-plus-bonus-perineum-healing-spray/

And I've just ordered DD's nappy bag.
I'm officially done, she doesn't need anything else. All I need to do is pack the hospital bags and dry 1 more load of her clothing.
Feels good

I made them last time. They were nice in the hospital but I forgot to use them once I got home. So there are still about 10 in my freezer from 2014...

I had stopped BFing at 10 and 9 months with them. I was pretty happy with it waiting that long to come back. Although one time it came back mid-vacation and the other came back the day before I went back to work. So that sucked.

I'm totally jealous that you only needed them for like 4 days - I was in the hospital for 4 days and then still needed the heavy pads for another week or so. And I don't particularly like the mesh panties at all - I feel like they don't fit my large butt right - like they shift or something. I totally bought huge hanes bloomers last time from Amazon as soon as I got home

I actually prefer pads to tampons. But I realize that is very much an unpopular opinion. After DD, I thought I might not ever be able to use tampons again. I hope that I can go on some sort of bc sooner rather than later so that I can regulate my periods again because then I would be fine with using pads only

I didn't get my period until 8 or 9 months after DS was born. And don't come after with pitchforks, but my period was lighter and cramps were so much better. Something about having a baby actually regulated my period that had been horrific from the time I got it at 12yo to having ds. *shrugs*
I tried to get mirena after DS and the doc perforated my uterus so I'm hesitant to try that again. I'll only do very low dose hormonal birth control. So definitely a conversation I need to have with my doc.

DS's back teeth are coming in, they are the last ones thank god.
He's got such red cheeks and poor bum, he gets teething poops. Back his poor bum rashy from the bad poo. Creaming him up and giving naked time as much as I can but he gives no cues when he poops with these kind of poo since it kind of just runs out.
Poor baby

Add me to the preferring pads club. This was not my opinion before having a baby but something happened down there and tampons are no longer comfortable. I do suffer through the first couple of heavy flow days with tampons because pads still kind of gross me out but once it slows down I am all about pads and panty liners.
I didn't get my first PP period until DS was about 11 months and I am hoping that continues again this time. I have only had 5 periods since March of 2015. My pp periods were definitely heavier but seemed shorter, although I did start spotting a day or two prior which wasn't an issue pre-baby.
Ok. I think that is probably enough talk about my periods and more than anyone cares about.

I have always had cramps but once the cramps come, I know the next time I wipe in the bathroom my period will be there. The spotting gave me a day to start Aleve loading to avoid the cramps, which was much appreciated.

At the hospital with DS3 the nurse made me plain padsicles with a newborn diaper and crushed ice inside. It was glorious.
