Did Day 3 before work! I am WFH today so I didn't have to get up any earlier than usual, but I guess it's a step in the right direction.
I am going to do C25k tonight.
Soooo sore.

Day 3 done! Lunges are hard. I don't get all the way down to the floor. She's the only trainer I've seen recommend that. I normally workout with Jillian who says to strive for 1 inch above the ground. I'm more like 3-4 inches, but I'm getting there. I also did another 20 minutes of a Jillian Michaels workout (No More Trouble Zones), which had more doing another 4 minutes of lunges - because I haven't done that one in a while & I forgot.

I woke up this morning thinking "oh I'm not that sore today, I must be in better shape than I thought, go me! I'm awesome!" And then I got stuck when I squatted down to unhook the dog from her lead because my groin is on FIRE. Damn squats. Yes! I was okay until I started to get seated on the toilet and I realized the back of my thighs were ripping from my body. My mom did the surge challenge with me a few months ago and after 2 days she text me "I can't sit down to pee.." Lol.

I did it during the kids' breakfast.
I need smaller weights for anything over my shoulder though, I haven't done freeweights in so long that I forgot about an old shoulder injury.

Day 3 done. Not too bad. My lunges need work. I can't touch my back knee to the ground.
I used 5 lbs for the first weight one and 3 lbs for the around the world move.
I'm tired, man. I didn't sleep enough last night and almost slept passed this workout. But I didn't.

Day 3 was good and her bronzer wasn't so out of control that it was distracting today. I was really bad at the cross over lunges. Like, really bad.

Just finished today's. I felt good about everything but the lunges. I might have to have H spot me tonight and see if I'm doing it wrong or if my knees are just that bad. I know I have weak knee ligaments but when I do both the regular lunges and the curtsey lunges my knees feel like they are going to tear. Advice or thoughts? No advice but I have really bad knees and I have to do lunges and squats in front of a mirror to get them right. I have hyperflexible joints and can't feel if my form is ok without seeing myself. I hurt myself a lot too.

If you guys haven't done exercises like this in the past please please pretty please watch some you tube videos and practice. I don't mean to sound like a know it all, but you can get injured doing lunges and jumps incorrectly.

Also too it's so much better to do five exercises with great form slowly than it is to do ten of them fast and sloppy.

I know I hold a lot of tension there so I've learned to be more careful. It can be challenging to find the balance of working hard and taking care of yourself.

No advice but I have really bad knees and I have to do lunges and squats in front of a mirror to get them right. I have hyperflexible joints and can't feel if my form is ok without seeing myself. I hurt myself a lot too. If any of this is STFU, I knew that, I'm sorry. Make sure your knees are kept over your ankles, don't extend past your toes. Focus on dropping down into the lunge instead of pushing forward into it, if that makes sense. Curtsy lunges are the devil and I hate them, but some of my workouts do include them. Try to focus on the same things even though your leg is obviously going to turn in a different angle for these. I don't know which muscle group she is aiming for with her lunges, but lunges that focus on the glutes and hamstrings tend to be easier because you push your butt and hips back, it takes some of the pressure off your knees. Traditional straight up and down lunges work the quads and I think add more pressure. I "know" all of that but I can never be reminded enough, so thank you.

I did Day 3 during nap time. Lunges are the worst. I can't get very far down.
I'm less sore this afternoon than I was yesterday and this morning, so yay?

Day 3 done. I made the stupid mistake of doing it barefoot for some reason. It made those static lunges a million times harder than they should have been.

Day three done. This one wasn't too bad. I can't get very low with my lunges though cause I don't want to mess up my knee. I can still feel the burn tho.
Heading for 30 mins on the treadmill since I only did 20 earlier and I gotta get my 10k steps.

Day 3 done. I forgot to get my weights out of the garage so I used spaghetti sauce jars.
ETA: MH sat on the couch and critiqued my form (which was helpful actually) while eating ice cream.

Day 3 done. MH, home from the bar and still in his work Bonobos, decided to do it with me. I kept offering him water, which he refused and he absentmindedly turned on a football game while doing the workout. Meanwhile, I was huffing and grunting. Oh well, I did it.

I really didn't want to do this tonight, but I did since I'm using tomorrow as my rest day because of date night. I could barely walk down the stairs afterwards!

Felt that burn. Day 3 done, as well as a 5.0 Week 1 ab video.
