Haven't updated on this in awhile. How is everyone doing?
I've cut carbonated beverages out completely (soda). I've replaced it with tea, which obviously isn't much better, but I've noticed without the carbonation I'm feeling less gross all the time. I guess it was making me feel bloated and bleh. So that's nice. The next goal will be to cut out the tea. I only drink it on weekends, so it isn't too horrible, but my water intake goes way down on the weekends because of it, so I need to cut it out.

I've been running still a minimum of 3 x a week but still just 1.5miles. I know I can go longer but just haven't done it yet.
Eating has been ok. When I make bad choices my stomach lets me know fairly quickly so it keeps me in check. But I have been fighting serious cravings lately.
5k in two weeks. I figure I can walk some if I need to but I'm really going to try not to.

I'm down 22lb. Sticking with boot camp, but not killing myself over it. I actually took this week off because my body feels exhausted and I have a cough I can't kick. Reaaally trying to get more protein into my diet again. I need to decrease the sugary baked goods and cereals.

Cutting out carbonated drinks is huge klong11, I always feel super bloated after as well, and worse i think it makes you feel full when you're not, meaning you're hungry sooner. Good job with the running wedding!

wedding I’ve been impressed with your will Power for your whole journey. I know it would (and is) super hard for me to take my kids to get yummy food and not totally over indulge, I’m always super Impressed with you. And great job with the running.

I haven’t really posted here before, but I’d like to join in if that’s ok!
I’m still managing the gym 3-5 times a week, but my running days are over because of how bad my pubic bone hurts. I usually do a walking incline treadmill workout or the elliptical. I’m trying to lift 2-3 times a week and I want to start getting to at least one yoga class a week.
Pregnancy weight gain is hard for me. I struggled with some boarderline eating disorder behaviors in my early twenties and watching the number on the scale go up (even though I know it’s normal and healthy) can be a little triggering to me.

That's hard, Unicorn. Can you just not look at your weight or is that not possible for you? I feel like I've heard people in similar situations doing that. Way to go on the workouts though!

Good job with the running wedding! Seriously. This is my biggest struggle. Since I was a kid. I can't kick the pop habit..

I can’t not look. I know that seems crazy and an obvious solution, but I just can’t do it. And my doctors office scale is a digital that’s always 3 or 4 pounds heavier than the good gym scale, so I always make it a point to weigh myself on the gym scale before I go so I have an accurate number in my head. I realize that sounds obsessive....

I have decided I’m no longer buying soda for my house. I drink way too much and I’m hoping by not having it as something easy to grab I’ll drink more water. I finished the last one on Tuesday. Yesterday I had a cup of coffee in the morning and then grabbed a soda at the hospital when we went up to visit my friend. Today I had coffee this morning and otherwise have only drank water. I have a headache and was hoping the caffeine in the coffee would prevent it, guess not. To be clear, I’m not completely dropping soda, I am just trying to cut back.

trtlcrzy and peachsmama it's a hard thing to cut. That's why I went to sweet tea. Then, I'll wean off that by drinking unsweet. I'm not a fan of unsweet, so I'm hoping by drinking it my body with automatically be ok with quitting. Basically, I'm going to try and fake myself out. We'll see if it actually works.

I don’t like tea 🙁 I’m fine with drinking soda while I’m out and about, but I’m trying to do better with drinking water.

So I hadn’t rode my bike for about a month (since the 2nd week after we bought them) because life has been busy. This morning S was at day care and MH and I don’t have to go into work till 1 so we decided to go for a ride.
MH: let’s do this trail through the woods. Me: is it pretty flat? I can’t do hills very good. MH: yea, it’s not bad.
5.5 miles later of some SERIOUS hills up and down on uneven gravel...
Me: *heavy breathing, can’t talk, puked from exhaustion * MH: are you going to be ok? Me: *still breathing heavy and can barely talk* I hate you - you are a liar.
I’ve recovered now but will NEVER let him pick the place we ride again. He’s on his own if he wants to do those trails. I will stick with flat pavement. On the plus side....I probably burned hella calories today.
