chickenonsunday , I'm a waterbelt person myself. BUT pretty much all of my friends use/swear by hydration packs. Like Camelback/Orange Mud/I think even Nathan makes one. I'm going to go the free route first and see if I can handle holding a small sport bottle. I don't run with a phone in my hand so I will just switch the bottle from side to side. If that doesn't work I'll go to the belt or hydration pack. This all just makes me miss training in the winter. I don't need to hydrate when it is under 50 degrees. It got so bad yesterday that I contemplated snagging some random person's water bottle that was left on a bench (I run on a 22+ mile trail that is dotted with parking lots and benches. People stash water bottles all over the place).

What kind of shit is this? I'm starting to train today and all the apps I might use have today as a rest day given race date, how many running days a week, and when I want my long run to be.
Going rogue...I always tell DW she married me because I'm a badass rule breaker. Lol!

I did 10 miles yesterday. My pace was okay and I allowed myself walking breaks because the goal was to run 1:40. The heat and the humidity really slowed me down. I need to figure out a way to hydrate while running. I figure I'll try and run with a water bottle but if that throws off my posture I will look into a water belt. My longer runs are usually trail runs and then I use a Camelbak, also useful for thigs like phones and lip balm.

It isn't safe to run this kind of distance without something on me. Keep reading the post to see where I contemplated drinking from a random bottle of water.

I either carry and handheld running water bottle or my fuel belt for runs over six miles. Or if I'm feeling lazy I do loop repeats that pass my house and set up a make shift aid station for myself. I did my entire marathon training last year in 2 mile loops in case H or the baby needed me. Boring, but doable.

I don't actually have to hold the bottle, it just sort of hangs out on my hand.

Best run ever!
I went around this trail loop that has portions that cross over where the water comes up at high tide so there are wooden bridges up a few steps here and there. I'm approach two elderly gentlemen sitting on the bridge with their feet hanging off in the water. I slow down to pass them on the narrow way and hear...I shit you not: "That's because you are overdosing your self on Cialis." 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Don't mind me I am just LT'ing my way through the thread. I am going to try and post here more often, it is really encouraging to see where everyone else is.
I am on Week 5 of C25k, it took me two weeks to get through week 4 due to some slacking and time constraints. I shouldn't miss any runs this week, I am really nervous that I have to run 8 minutes with out a break Wednesday.

I'm going to put the man in his early 50's and the woman in her mid-30's. The man says to the woman, "So you don't want multiple orgasms you just want one?" It took everything within me not to burst out laughing AND not to turn around and ask questions. I crossed them again about 45 minutes later when I doubled back but at that point they were just silently running. I was disappointed. Just another reason why I don't run and listen to music. I want to creep on the convos of others.

I was able to run 4 miles tonight. It's been a while since my last run. My goal was 3 but the run felt good so I kept going. 1/3 of the way to a half marathon so I'll take it. My c-section scar did sting afterwards though. My shorts mat have rubbed it wrong.

Sometimes I set my bottle in a central location on my long runs and just take a swig whenever I run by it.

I ran five miles this morning. It was a gorgeous 61 degrees. Now I'm sitting at my desk and realized that I forgot to eat breakfast. This won't go well for me.

Did another week 3 this morning before work. I need to try week 4 again, but I'm feeling really intimidated. I've got to suck it up though.

Not sure if you're looking for recommendations, but I've tried a bunch of water belts and by far the most comfortable one I found is the Flip Belt. You don't have to keep tightening it up because there's no straps, and the water bottles kind of lay flat against you so it shouldn't throw off your posture. Once you get the hang of putting the water bottles i it's easy to do while you're running. It also has a little hook for your keys and you can fit a gel in there too.

Finished "pre-training week". Official week one starts tomorrow. I usually do well for about 3-4 weeks. Then I start feeling good and either go faster or farther than my program instructs resulting in aches, pains, and time away. Determined to do it slow, safe, and steady to be successful this time.

I have a flip belt too, it's awesome (none. I haven't tried putting a bottle in it yet though, but I could definitely see how it could fit a small one. I also have a Nathan belt that I don't love because it gets loose as I run. I should just get rid of it already. I do really like my Nathan hydration pack though. I haven't used it with a bladder in awhile, but the pack part is super handy.

I did 1.25 miles on my treadmill this morning. I haven't run in a week so I took it easy, but I definitely could have kept going. I plan to stretch my runs back out to 5k and maintain a 3 mile base as long as my body will let me.
