A did not sleep that well last night, so I'm a zombie right now and miss MH desperately. He was good with MOTN wake ups if I had already fed A.

I called both my mom and my DH today and both answered with , "Are you in labor?" Uh no...I just need something from both of you LOL. I think I might have hurt my mom's feelings today without trying but I wanted to make sure it would just be her and my dad at the hospital. I don't want them bringing my great aunt, my cousin, my nephew, etc. She's like of course it's just us. Then I asked what their plans were. She said well we aren't planning to live at the hospital or anything. I don't want to hurt her feelings but a. I've never had a baby before, b. I've never even been to the hospital when someone had a baby so I have no clue what to expect. Oh well, I'm just getting anxious.

Also, I'm going to say this an my H will kill me, but we joke because when I had a maternity massage the guy asked if he could say hello to my baby and put his hand on my stomach. So my H will put his hand on my stomach and say, "Can I say hello to your baby?" So last night we are in bed and half asleep. He puts his hand on my and says, "Can I say hello to your baby?" I say, "Yes you can, but your hand is on my ass!" LMAO we both died. He really thought his hand was on my stomach. It's even more hilarious because I've never had a butt in my life and now I do have one and mistook it for my stomach.

muscari, I hope baby gets a move on soon!

addymac FX it's the start of labor. This phase sucks. I remember feeling exactly the same way before DS showed up. Now if only I could remember how long it lasted. It felt like an eternity then and it does now, too. I remember being 80% convinced he was never actually going to come out and I would be the only woman pregnant forever. Logic was clearly winning with me. 😂

Slight TMI ...

I keep having little thing of liquid coming out. I can't figure out by sniffing it if it's me peeing myself (suddenly, starting today) or if it's my water leaking. This is annoying. I called my Dr and I need to go get checked but contractions have basically stopped and I'm going to feel like the biggest moron if it's just pee. But I've been pretty proud that I haven't peed myself thus far in this pregnancy, so why would I start today??? 😒

addymac FX it's the broken water like you've been hoping for! Don't be embarrassed if it's pee though. I've heard from SO many women that that happens to them... I know OBs see it a lot.

Does it have any color to it or is it clean liquid? I did a ton of sniffing as well when earlier on we were wondering whether I was leaking AF.. tis confusing haha.
Also, if you just peed (and peed out well) then blow on the back of your hand and some more comes out - it could be amniotic fluid so I have read.

While at L&D Thursday evening they told me that even a drop was enough to swab and test so perhaps you could place like a piece of plastic in your undies to try and catch a bit. I'd go and have it tested! Who cares if it ends up being something else - better to know then keep wondering. Like, whenever I was told to come in for monitoring cause I worried about decreased movement, babygirl most always was fine - no one ever made me feel stupid or like a moron and I was always glad I went in!

Best to know - cause if it is amniotic fluid leaking indeed this may also have consequences for how long they can delay inducing /wait on things to progress naturally..

Hey ladies, thanks for all the well wishes. I'm still in labor. They started the induction at 3pm yesterday and the cervidil actually put me into labor but my cervix is still a slow asshole and after 12 hrs of super painful contractions I was fully effaced but only 1cm. They started pitocin this morning and broke my water around 8am and last check I was at 4cm. So super slow but progressing. I probably still have a while to go!

addymac, I'm glad you're getting checked. When they broke my water it felt just like I was peeing myself so don't feel dumb for not knowing for sure. I hope this is it!! GL! Update when you can!

Also.. is cervadil a med or something else? I was told they will likely start my induction with a small balloon catheter to help me efface and dilate further before starting the pitocen IV- that s not the same right?

No, not the same. If you are dilated at least like a full 1cm or more they can do the balloon. But I was barely 1cm so wasn't dilated enough for that so I had to do cervidil. It's basically a medicine they insert in your vagina by your cervix that gets it dilating. My doc actually prefers the balloon but just couldn't do it for me.

Ahh gotcha - thanks for explaining! I was 1cm dilated yesterday and hopefully the stripping at least is helping with that if it isnt doing much else just yet!

cali My sympathies! 8 hrs of contractions only bought me 1cm as well, and I was pissed!! I think breaking the water really helped and hopefully works for you too.

addymac, I've been sniffing leakage for the past 2 weeks. I just keep hoping my H doesn't walk in when I'm doing it. I can't tell if it's sweat, pee, or AF. I hope they can tell you what it is.

Guys.... I guess it was sweat or pee ☹️😳 BUUUUUUUT they did an ultrasound and his fluid is low so I'm being induced!!! Just got into my labor room and they put an IV in. This baby is coming! So I guess it's a good thing I came to be told I peed myself 😂 Bc otherwise we wouldn't know about the fluid.

OMG IM GOING TO HAVE A BABY IN THE NEXT 24-48 HOURS 😱😱😱😱
