OMGosh it's August Randoms!

Well, I'm being induced today instead of Sunday. At my appointment this morning my BP was still a bit elevated and even though baby looked good on the NST she's fallen behind a bit on growth and was measuring only in the 25th percentile. She was in the 49th a couple weeks ago. So my doc decided it's time for her to come out. I'm so nervous. I'm still barely 1cm dilated so I'm going to have to do cervidil today to try to get my cervix dilated more! I knew this was a possibility but mentally I was prepared for it to be Sunday and not today!

Thanks everyone! She's actually supposed to get released at 4pm today, if her culture comes back negative. We went to visit her and I called before showing up at 11:30 - I was told to bring her car seat, so they could do that test (even though the nurse said she didn't think it was necessary). So, we left when she was doing the car seat test and are home to get her outfit/start preparing. It's exciting, but also scary since I feel we haven't spent much time getting to know her.

Post&run for me today as I am absolutely pooped and am going to drop dead in bed soon.

As babygirl was still a bit slow this morning they hooked me up to the CTG again when I got to my appointment today. She gave us a bit of a scare when she fell asleep !! But luckily was easily roused heh. Silly girl. Urine still clear of protein luckily tho they do want to keep an eye on my BP and symptoms still. I am just so crazily swollen ugh.

Had my first cervical check and am 1cm dilated... which was a little disappointing! Got stripped which wasnt as terrible as I feared it may be phew.

They felt it was too early to induce just yet and I am okay with that. We will reevaluate on Monday afternoon when I go in for my next appointment (with another cervical check, CTG and likely also an u/s). And I am to call whenever I feel her less still or when my other symptoms worsen. Tbh I hope for a peaceful weekend together with MH and to get the action started on Monday orso 😊

jexxa @easilyunamused @mrshall2017 yoshijo I have been having crazy nights sweats for a while now and just hate them so much😔 I wake up soaked thru my nightgown ugh and I am not even feeling hot per se. I had this prePG already as well due to early menopause/POF and was so disappointed when I learned it was a PG thing too!

@easilyunamused she s already a lil brat 😉 But gets away with it cause whenever I hear her hb on the CTG or seem her bum move my bump around or her knee poke out I just am in love. And I guess that will only get worse when she gets here! 😍😄

addymac wow you made great progress since your last appointment! I am sorry that having to think about/possibly make decisions on when to induce is so overwhelming. Putting of the decision till monday sounds like a plan- maybe baby will make the decision for you!! That is sort of what I am hoping for myself hah.

addymac jexxa may I join you ladies on being confused by the whole difference between BH and (practice) contractions!? I too thought whether or not they were really painful was what set them apart but apperently I have been missind/dismissing contractions as well..

So I've been having awful lower back cramping like pain since 4am-ish and around 455 starting having contractions that are uncomfortable but not necessarily painful and don't last very long. They're around 5-7min apart and my lower back pain has not stopped. Is this it? Sometimes I need DH to confirm it's a contraction but he's leaving for work in like 20min so how am I going to know for sure????

He actually works at the hospital so I would just meet him there! But they stopped for ten min and then I had two really painful ones five min apart. I will just have to wait and see I guess. This not knowing is really confusing. I don't want to be like labor time! And get sent home but I also don't want to go to work tonight and then go into real labor and then have to drive home.

Can my water just break so I know for sure?!?

addymac keep timing them. It could be go time soon. And remember that sadly not everyone's water breaks. It sucks not knowing. I would put a call in to work now though and let them know to have someone on standby just in case. Also I had someone in L&D once who only had menstrual like cramps until she hit transitional labor.

addymac exciting! Hoping this is the start of things for you! I would start timing them too. I was told to call and head to the hospital following the 5-1-1 thing. Contractions every 5 minutes lasting a minute at a time for a hour?

I thought I was going into labor last night. I woke up around 3 and baby boy was going nuts. I had several contractions a few minutes apart and got up to walk around and see what was happening. Apparently getting up put baby boy to sleep and the contractions stopped. Oh well. I guess I get to wait another day.

Sigh. They stopped being close together around 620, then I had two between 620-730, then totally stopped. So I laid down around 8 (was up since 330) and got up about ten min ago and had one decently painful one for a minute a few min ago. We will see. Stop playing with my emotions, body!
