When the cleaning lady left I did lay down for a bit, but not for too long as MH came home and I went outside to enjoy the last more or less nice afternoon in the garden with him for a bit before it was time to start dinner 😊 sadly he came down with a migraine ugh so he is in bed now hopefully sleeping it off. I think he too is feeling the "come one baby, time to get out " anxiety in his own way.

Ok, my bp went way down (128/71) and my cervix is still being a pain in the ass and is barely 1cm so they're sending me home buuuut after talking to the doctor the plan is I follow up in office on Friday and have a scheduled induction for Sunday afternoon if I haven't gone on my own before then (or if my BP is elevated Friday then we'll start it then). So there's a light at the end of the tunnel. This baby will be out by Monday or Tuesday at the latest! I feel much better having a plan in place and also have a couple days to get my shit together and DH can let his work know. Thanks for the support ladies. These August babies are dramatic.

"These August babies are dramatic" hahaha yes they are cali! Glad you have a plan in place now - that must make you feel much better! I am curious what both our appointments Friday will bring for us! I do think you will have a baby in your arms well before I will and that makes me a little anxious! I dont think they will induce me before 41wks (next thursday) as long as my BP stays in range. 😊 Tho I also struggle with feelings of guilt forcing baby out if she doesnt feel like coming out herself yet..

So baby had great reactivity on the NST. Heartbeat good. Movements still less then normal but they weren't worried. Also apparently I'm having waaaay more contractions then I feel....

Great news elliecat17! Maybe baby is just resting for a bit? I have had NTSs where she was sorta quiet and not moving a lot yet still had good reactivity and hb.. guess sometimes they just like things mellow?? During my NST last week I also was showing a lot more muscle activity or whatever to call it (as it weren't really contractions.. maybe light BH?) then I felt as well which I thought was odd. Maybe we get used to the feeling?

@starzia I'm sorry you are grumpy. Perhaps the irritation of being checked will lead to something happening?

@starzia I feel you on feeling like it's never going to happen.
So after the debacle of having constant contractions for over 24 hrs Sun-Mon, things have slowed way down. So I will randomly have contractions every 4-5 minutes for a couple hours here and there. But they aren't doing anything. Darn baby is messing with me!

@starzia so actually that is the exact question I have about hemhorroids - I was asking my DH if it's possible for them to explode while I'm bearing down / pushing during labor. And he said he had no idea. So I was going to ask my Dr at my appt tomorrow. So don't feel dumb!! I'm like terrified they're going to get bigger and explode! thinkchocolate05- congrats!!! Yay baby!!!

@starzia and addymac, as someone who's ass has exploded over these last couple weeks, ask all the questions. Don't feel dumb at all! While I don't think there is a possibility of the hemmies actually exploding, they can certainly get more painful and bigger after delivery. While rare, I do believe ass damage can happen in labor. I tore my perinium in my first delivery and that hurt like hell. Sorry not trying to scare you ladies, just sharing my experiences. I wish you deal with none of that shit 😂 no pun intended

elliecat17, just FYI even if they do say nothing is happening with your cervix, don't stress. My OB told me it really means nothing because it could completely change in an hour.

elliecat17 Cervix changes before labor mean literally nothing. I've been walking around at 3 cm for over a week. Not to mention that anyone who knows I'm dilated now tells me constantly that baby will come early. Also not a guarantee. You can also leave an appointment not dilated at all and go into labor on the drive home.

Same as kristyw, I was 3 cm at the only check I had and that was for over 2 weeks. I was 1cm with my first and had her 2 days later so it literally means nothing

kristyw cali and jt2378 thanks ladies! I know it means nothing, but the reminder is always good. I had fun on and off contractions all night on only the right side of my back/uterus.

Hah, so just before the postie delivered my red raspberry leaf tea. MH accepted the package and when he came back into the room I said "AHHHH my contraction tea!". He thought I was joking ;-) then when he realized I wasn't just shook his head.. I think he thinks I've lost my pregnancy marbles for real now haha.
Sooo, is there a min/max I can drink of this tea a day??

Also, I may end up calling L&D once again, even though I have an OB appointment at 11am tomorrow.. I haven't felt babygirl move at all yet today (tis 3pm now) and it's once more starting to freak me out. MH checked her hb and it's around 140 so that seems to be fine but come on lil one, give me some reassurance! If you won't come out yet, then at least keep me sane??

muscari I'd call for the peace of mind. Hope baby girl is just sleepy today. Yeah I hope/assume/think/whatever she's just taking it easy (maybe she takes after her dad who also likes to have those realllllly slow and calm days here and there haha, he would sleep 3/4 of the day away if he could those days!).. which makes me feel silly for going in. BUT I don't want to consider what-ifs. Plus they've repeated over and over and over to call whenever I felt this way so... She had some crazy bouncy days earlier this week, so maybe she's just tired and resting.. though this is also exactly the reason why I feel off, cause she's suddenly much quieter again. Oh oh crazy August babies!

At least I get one more breakfast in bed before going home later today.

I've outside baby envy so hard. An old hs acquaintance due two weeks after me had her baby yesterday. Again, you capture my feelings just perfectly! I'm so envious of all those (here and also someone IRL) who were due after me but are already holding their precious babies! Me wants!

@starzia and muscari I want outside baby too! But I did get a check today and the midwife thinks bahybis coming sooner rather then later. I was only 1cm dilated but 70% effaced.

So at around 9pm I decided that babygirl really had been way to quiet all friggin day again so called for advice and they had me come in. Baby seems to be doing okay - great CTG - but apperently I am also having contractions without really realizing lol. I mean I did feel like I had a ton of BH and tightness all day, real lenghty ones almost like my bump was almost constantly hard (which is also one of the reasons I called cause it was so weird.. and I thought maybe that masked babies movements).. but apart from annoying they aren't really painful or such?
Tis shift change atm so we are waiting for the dr to come see us. They hope to be able to catch some fluid to test whether my water is leaking - and will do an echo later as well.
I honestly haven't a clue what will happen.. before we headed to the H we did put all the stuff in the car just in case but we may well be send home again? Ahhh the not knowing is killing me atm ahahaha. Anyway.. tbc!

Eeekk muscari, I'm glad you went in, keep us posted! I had been having that constant tightness like you described recently and I was also unsure whether it was going to be the real deal or just BH

Doctor's appointment today shows no progress. Still 1cm dilated and around 50% effaced. She thinks he's happy and snug in there. I am measuring 2 weeks behind on my stomach measurements. Have an appointment scheduled at 40 weeks with her and for an ultrasound and we'll discuss options then. My main thing is I might have to go back to work....at 40 weeks. I've been in the mindset that I'm not going back until November now I'm faced with the fact that school starts in 6 days and I might have to go. I've been off since June 2nd and have been very happy about it. However, I'm not sure how I'm going to make it at 40 weeks with people I haven't seen in 3 months. I can't even imagine the comments I'm going to get. I've also got outside baby envy @starzia, elliecat17, Jealous you are making progress! EEEK!! Keep us updated muscari,

Annnnd we're back home! False alarm it seems - or rather, we went in for reassurance on her decreased movement, not cause we thought I was in labor. But their comments on the contractions made me wonder what was going on haha. TBH I felt a bit rushed when the shift change was complete and the new dr came in, as there was another pg lady waiting at the ER who was really unwell and needed monitoring as well so we sorta had to clear the room stat heh. But after she did an U/S to double check cord bloodflow, AFI and baby, which all checked out ok (still a low AFI but no change so that's good). In combination with the CTG (at which baby started out a bit slow but she did really great for the most part) we felt reassured that babygirl is still doing alright in there. I have an OB appointment in the morning so will ask some more about the tightness and BH/contractions and whatever, since I didn't get a chance to ask tonight. It's well past 12:30am so I'm off to bed... at least I now know I can sleep without worry - I'm glad we went in even though it felt a bit anticlimactic to be send home again (though we hadn't really expected anything otherwise either).
