Nothing that fun!! Just seeing other people accomplish things and I'm like 😫😫 I'm not where I thought I'd be at 36. Not too get too long or drawn out. But I know I've talked about here I'm a SAHM but that was never planned to be that way. Moving away from family and Hs work schedule kind of made it a necessity with young kids and I've never gone back. Now it's been 11 years and my kids are in school and I'm like what am I doing??? I assume a lot of this is "normal" with long term SAH parents as well. Like what do I do now?? It just all kinda started when I went on a girls trip with college friends in June. They were all celebrating promotions, opening businesses, business and personal travel and I'm like I'm just here taking care of my house all day and kids and husband when they're home My kids are 13 and 15 and I'm still a SAHM mostly (I substitute teach occasionally, like 1 or 2 days a month). The past few years I've really struggled because I want to be doing something more with my time, but with my dh's schedule, I am the on-call parent both in the morning (and my 15 year old with ADHD can't wake up for school on his own despite multiple alarms/a vibrating alarm, etc.) and to drive them to all the things in the afternoon. So finding something meaningful to do just during school hours has been near impossible. So I wish you luck if you find yourself in the same position. It's hard to talk about because I recognize that I'm lucky that we are in a position for me to still be a SAHM, and it was really necessary when my kids were little (dh was in the military and gone a lot), but I do wish I had more going on in my life right now. I've tried volunteering too, but most of the stuff I find is in an inconvenient location that would have me stuck in rush hour traffic in the afternoon (so an issue for being the mom cab), or stuff I can do from home but I really don't WANT to do so I'm like, I will resent taking on this commitment, no thanks. Yes I feel similar! Right now they all don't have a bus so I have to drive/pick up for school. Among so many other things. It just seems pointless to even try right now. I feel you on it being hard to talk about because I don't want to seem like I'm complaining. But sometimes I'm like what about me! Ugh |

Yes girl you will Friends don’t let friends get bangs * but I fully understand why you want to ❤️ I'm thinking like a longer side bang just to cover the incision (it's super close to my hairline on that side). Not a full fringe like I had in the 90s. Curtain bangs, maybe? |

When H folds my laundry, I refold it before I put it in my drawer. I am very particular about how stuff is folded, but I don’t want to discourage the help with laundry. But he wants to help all the time because it takes me longer. So I just redo it. (He does so much other stuff around the house, including cooking and cleaning the kitchen and won’t let me help.) I don’t bother refolding the kids stuff. I do this with the dishwasher. I can fit double the stuff he can. |

Yes I feel similar! Right now they all don't have a bus so I have to drive/pick up for school. Among so many other things. It just seems pointless to even try right now. I feel you on it being hard to talk about because I don't want to seem like I'm complaining. But sometimes I'm like what about me! Ugh You can do the things and still figure out transportation Get the job, join the club, volunteer, do your thing There's options; car pools, after school care, flex time at jobs. Don't keep your life on hold. Next year they will all finally have a bus, and I'll feel comfortable with the orders getting the youngest from the bus stop if I can't. So I will have some breathing room. I might try to start with something small this year still though |

I got a tattoo on my 41st birthday! Dd who is 13 now wants me to wait and get one when she does so we can match so what 5 more years??? I haven't read the whole thread, but your relationship with DD sounds amazing! I know you didn't have the same with your mom. I didn't either and hope my almost 10 year old DD will be as receptive to me when she's older as your DD is with you. |

I know you didn't have the same with your mom. I didn't either and hope my almost 10 year old DD will be as receptive to me when she's older as your DD is with you. She absolutely will! It’s something I have always put too priority because of my relationship with my biological mom (non existent) and my step mom who raised me since 5 that is 90% non existent and at first I struggled thinking how can I be a good mom when I didn’t have that and then it was fuck that I’m going to do the opposite of both of them! |

I have some flash tattoos that I should probably regret from younger years but don't. I still love all of them. I have my 8th planned but had to cancel over the summer because I was having too much arm pain and that's where I want it. Hoping my rehab will settle it down so I can get it there still.

I typically put in a bit of product and air dry and that's it. I'm a ponytail all the time girl so I think it'd be easy enough! Plus, I would only ever get bangs in the Fall/Winter. They are so much easier to style when the humidity is low. If you hate them you can always pin them back or braid them into your ponytail since you wear it up all the time anyway. |

I think having curtain bangs makes ponytails (and messy topknots LOL) more stylish. |
