Reddit has some of the funniest comments. I follow this nature one and the comments always crack me up.
It’s way better than google on many fronts. I don’t really visit the bigger boards but if you are into or looking into niche stuff, it’s a cool place that doesn’t have the Facebook weirdos.

I go through so much of it and a quick search always lands me on helpful threads. People there are great at using medical knowledge to calm your tits down. |

1. school just started for most of us so end of summer/beginning of school
2. most of our kids are older now leading to less home time/down time in general3. special interest boards are probably as busy or busier than ever (see: the last 6-7 weeks of weekly politics threads/any time a celeb or royal goes off the rails) 4. coming in here only sometimes with the name "the stranger" is going to send hackles up. If you lurk as much/as long as you say this should not be a surprise 5. if you want it to be busier, maybe work toward more than 36 posts I agree. |

Maybe we were better time managers before because we were doing life and had time to argue an UO/FFFC before.
People just have stopped posting from where I am sitting.

This isn't an overnight thing, but in general compared to 5-10 years ago I worked in an office where this was all the entertainment I had available all day. Now that I work from home and I can watch tv and do a million other things, this isn't the top of the list like it once was.

Wow, this almost turned into games recommendations lol. FWIW mine is Junes Journey.
It’s sad to see posters stepping back, because regardless of topics, it was still pretty busy here until around 9 months ago (as far as I can see).
Unfortunately I don’t have a great deal to post about , I know that makes me a hypocrite, but I just don’t lead an exciting life.

My kids getting older do have some impact on what I post. I don't feel I should share some of their stuff when they're at an age to be online themselves. So the parenting portions of things that used to be at least some of our topics- I mostly skip right over that now.
I'm also guilty of not posting as much anymore. When there's not many new things happening here, I waste time other places. (Also guilty of too much time on Reddit!) Life genuinely is more busy these days too so there's just not as much time in general to be online.

I’ll say what others probably won’t and probably won’t agree with
It got not fun here for a while. It was like everyone had to have the same opinion or there was a fight. I missed the times before where we could have conversations and not agree and it not get ugly.
I’m sure others will say I’m part of the problem and maybe I am because I got tired of sitting back and saying nothing.
It could also just be I guess we are growing

I’ve never been a prolific poster but I did stop coming in as much when randoms went from daily to weekly. Obviously I could make a daily randoms but I guess I’m not super invested. I do follow the blinds and royals threads regularly. I SAH now so I’ll probably be around more.
