Did my first Blogilates workout today. It was an 8-minute HIIT cardio. She recommends doing it 4 times. I did it once and my legs were on FIRE. I shall work up to the repeats over time. But I really really liked it and I'm actually excited to try the Abs workout tomorrow.

I'll post my check ins separately but I thought you guys could appreciate this salad hate, esp waitwhatI'm in the office today. It's lunchtime and H asks where I want to go. I really wanted a good salad with fruit in it but our cafe's salad bar is hit or miss. But then I pull up their weekly menu and I see that the Entree is Chopped Watermelon Summer Salad - YUM. So we both go down and get it. We're back at our desks and I haven't taken a bite yet but I get an IM from H: "Ewwwwwww"Me - what's wrong "What the hell?! This tastes earthy"I'm dying. He won't stop complaining. "I knew I should've had a buffalo chicken wrap""What is this shit""Fatman will never be able to protect Gotham City running on this "fuel"(He calls himself Fatman bc he has a BATMAN shirt he LOVES but he's gained a few lbs over the years so it's rather snug on him) FTR this salad is amazing. Spring greens, watermelon, strawberries, oranges, feta, and grilled chicken with balsamic vinagrette. Edit to add craisins

Wednesday
Food Breakfast - cinnamon raisin bread w PB Snack - apple Lunch - leftover Tofu, mixed peppers, brown rice stir fry Dinner - Veggie overload (Baked Sweet potato, broccoli/cauliflower/carrots, and cucumber salad)
Activity 1.3 mi walk with H and babies in the morning
✔️Met water goal ✔️ Avoided sweets
As to sweets, I made my "healthy cookies" (oatmeal, Greek yogurt, almond milk, and PB/Choc chips). I had two of those. I am ok with calling that "avoiding sweets" bc I find they're a fair replacement of actual sweets I'd have (cake, ice cream, cookies, candy).

DYING at Fatman kleigh!!! You're doing amazing! Thank you ❤️ I have to work on the self talk part. I keep telling myself it's not worth it to eat right since my belly will always look weird anyway. See private thread

I'm flattered y'all like my omelette making skills. Really didn't think it was all that pretty until I drizzled the hot sauce on top. But normally I overstuff the omelette and it all falls apart when I try to flip it. This time I think I just had the right amount of ingredients!

Day 4 and I have done my workout every day and stuck to my meal plan 100%. That may all go to shit later as my whole firm is going out to celebrate our paralegal's last day. I think I can manage not to drink but the food is going to be tough to resist. I just ate a big, late lunch and have my afternoon snack packed, so maybe I will be content to just enjoy the company.
I do get one "free" meal a week on this plan but I was planning to use it at the housewarming party we're going to on Saturday. Decisions, decisions. The place tonight does have these spicy coal-fired pork ribs that I think are compliant enough with my meal plan.
Oh also I was sooooo bloated on Monday when I did my first weigh-in. I woke up today feeling great so for S&G's I decided to step on the scale again. Down 4.8 pounds since Monday lol. I wish they were real pounds (not just water weight) but I'll take it for now!

dashook water weight or not seeing the scale move in that direction is motivation girl! I weighed myself Tuesday I believe and I was down 3 lbs from the weekend. But seeing the number go down only made me want to stick to it more! Good job girl!!

Pretty happy with my progress so far. I did my workout today. I went for a 2 mile walk with the boys this morning and then during nap, did some HIIT on the treadmill for 20 minutes. And then did some stuff with the medicine ball and some abs. I like sharing meals because it gives me ideas and inspiration to see what you are all eating.
Breakfast: veggie omelette & blueberries Snack: apple w/almond butter, handful (ok 2 handfuls) of pretzels Lunch: leftover dinner--zoodles, with homemade veggie marinara sauce, & hard boiled egg. Snack: not sure what it will be yet. Dinner: salmon, brown rice, broccoli

I am actively avoiding this thread. Like I read the OP and never came back. It's almost time for W to go back to school and we will move and maybe possibly then I will get off my dead ass (other than my 2x/week workouts). Probably. That's my goal anyways.

waitwhat your meals sound great! Just out of curiosity--are you just cooking for yourself, or are your meals something your whole family is eating? Today: Post-workout--protein drink + 1/2 whole wheat blueberry muffin (no sugar added) Breakfast--overnight oatmeal (oats, banana, PB2, protein powder) I actually skipped my morning snack which is probably good considering my evening plans Lunch--zachos (squash, ground turkey, onion, tomatoes, guac, black beans) Afternoon snack (if I'm hungry for it which I probably won't be)--jerky and 85% dark chocolate square Dinner--coal fired pork ribs, arugula salad, and maybe some chicken at the going-away party

I'm cooking for myself mostly. When H and I both diet we find it works best if we are on our own for a few weeks. And B can't eat a lot of the things I eat so I usually have to make his meals separate anyways. However, I made last nights dinner thinking B and my H would enjoy it. Both refused 😂.

I did okay last night despite a lot of temptations! I stuck to only coal-fired stuff (nothing fried) and avoided the delicious looking focaccia entirely. I did go ahead and have a few drinks. I had a blast and aside from being tired I don't feel much worse off for it. Right back on track this morning with this yummy breakfast: I have both kids by myself today so need to figure out some time to fit in my workout. This is going to be a challenge because if they both nap at some point, I'm going to want to nap too!

Yum dashook! Do you prep these things ahead of time or just make them as you go? I made a batch of the egg muffins (12) on Sunday and had this exact breakfast Monday, Wednesday, and today, and froze the other 6. I could also cut up the berries ahead of time but I usually don't because they seem to get gross quickly once cut.

Somehow I'm down 1.6lbs this week after an awful points week! I over ate 25 points. I earned 13 points back before today but still over ate 12 points. Not having internet sucks. I also reduced my points today as I'm no longer exclusively breastfeeding however, I will add them back if I dry up! My biggest fear is not having enough milk even if he seems more interested in food. I seem to nurse for comfort now! Anyways, that's 16.4 total loss! 9lbs before I've lost 10%. I'm doing a skinny for Santa challenge where I'm hoping to be under 200lbs by Christmas.

Cheshie6 congratulations! That is seriously amazing. dashook thanks for the egg muffin reminder! I sub in egg whites and it's probably one of my favorite meals. There's so many combos you can do to keep it from getting boring.

MH just told me when we move he wants us both to get in shape. So maybe having each other to lean on will make the difference in getting me motivated.

starbuck, though, MH doesn't need to lose weight, I find it easier to stay on track when he's helping. Like planning dinner around fish, or finding ways to make a vegetable he hates (Brussels sprouts) into something he loves. I hope YH is the support system you need.
