So.. someone TTMA Fitbit since I know nothing. Am I going to want the one with HR? I just got mine a few months ago. I have the Alta HR and so far I'm enjoying it! I don't know what one without the HR is like but I figured for only an extra $50 bucks or so I'd get the HR. The Alta is slim too which I like because I didn't want anything bulky. I love that it tracks my water intake, my sleep, steps, active minutes, calorie burned etc. It's great for when I go on walks with the kids because it tracks it all and records my times and when I'm in the cardio zone and when I'm in the fat burning zone. I'm really enjoying it so far.

kleigh, mind over matter, I get it. I can certainly do that with some foods, like peas and green beans, but there are others that I just can't make myself eat. I'm going to start cooking for myself like many parents cook for their toddlers, because I'm a 30 year old adult who won't eat her veggies.

goldenlove, waitwhat, I sort of have a FitBit? I've had the Charge HR for a while, but a few months ago part of the tracking thing broke. It still works, I think, but it's not as comfortable to wear. It's out of warranty, so they wouldn't send me a new one and I don't feel like spending money to buy another. I do like the look for the Alta HR though. I might try to wear it again and I can add you guys as friends. You can do challenges with friends, which I always found motivating.

waitwhat The Alta HR was the one I was looking at. Definitely like that it's thinner than the Charge.

If you still find yourself struggling get a good multivitamin and start taking some fiber. At the very least you'll get the nutrients you need while you find the best ways to sneak the real stuff into you.

So a personal trainer friend just suggested Blogilates (on Youtube) for my workouts. They are 10 minute videos and hardcore (but good because instead of doing a specific number of each move, you do each move for an amount of time, so it's more about competing with yourself to improve as opposed to the challenege I'm doing now where you just have to do an insane amount). Anyway I'm gonna give it a try after this challenge is done. Wish me luck!!

Dinner AW time! Tonight was "zachos"--basically just zucchini roasted in circles with yummy stuff on top. The ground turkey is spicy as shit because I dumped a ton of Hellacious on it and I'm loving every bite!

I am happy with myself today. I ate healthy all day. Surpassed my water goal. For dinner I had salmon, brussel sprouts and brown rice. I don't have any fun pictures and besides, my dinner is not as pretty as dashook's. I also did a 45 minute cardio session on the treadmill--a combination of running, walking uphill, speed walking, and intervals. I'm sore as shit.

-What does everyone want to see from this thread? Inspiration, encouragement, and accountability!
-How often should it be posted to benefit you? Once a month is fine
-What are your goals? For this month? To be 8lbs lighter and to get to the Y 4 days a week. (To keep L comfortable in childwatch) start p90x3 yoga and Pilates with DH at work (I'm hoping if we do it together he'll stick to it)
-What are you doing to meet those goals? Weight Watchers, exercise
-Have your goals evolved since these babies were born? Not really, be a healthy and able to keep up with L when he starts moving! (And to be able to out swim him for a little bit... before he becomes the next Michael Phelps)
-How can we help you succeed? Encouragement, motivation, inspiration
-Is there a better way to motivate you? (I feel like we tend to always lift each other up and give hair pats...if anyone needs or prefers tough love let us know!) I could use some mildly tough love!

kleigh, I have body image issues too. I've been overweight my whole adult life. It's why I rarely posted bump photos. I can't even do 9mos in 9mos out. Not to shame anyone here because you are all gorgeous, wonderful women; I just felt not good enough... I'm always "the fat" friend and here I feel like became and still am the fat N'16er. I have 99lbs to lose! danib, I love Cassie (blogilates) she even sends workout calendars and a password to access it. You sign up on her website. She has 2 beginner months too (still not easy btw).

Cheshie6 FWIW I think you're beautiful, as does L I'm sure! Body image issues don't discriminate. I want so much to raise my babies (esp my daughter since there's so much spotlight and pressure) to feel healthy and beautiful because she's a good person, not because she looks a certain way. At 9 months old people commenting on how petite she is, how wonderful that it is, good thing she's the little one and he's the big one, etc etc - like can't we let babies be babies? It starts young!

OK finally getting a chance to check in here.
I'm extremely unhappy with where I'm at right now. I need to lose at least 30 lbs before I'll be comfortable in my body again. It feels like it's going to be a struggle for the rest of my life. Food is easier for me to manage than exercise. I just don't enjoy exercising at all. So right now I'm looking into getting a Fitbit for some motivation and I downloaded a 30 day challenge app. I'm sure the 2-3 minutes a day isn't doing much but I'm at least getting into a mindset of doing something everyday. Hopefully as the challenges get harder and longer, it'll be easier to transition into a routine that does do something.
As for diet, I feel like we're doing much better (especially with the help of my mom sending meals). One thing that shocked me was my biometric screening last week. My cholesterol has always been borderline high, but for the first time in a while, it was in a good place. I attribute that greatly to not eating out as much the past few months so that is encouraging to see something positive.
Diet goals: -Eat healthy breakfast everyday. -Limit takeout to 3 times a week. -Drink more water. I tend to nurse my coffee all morning and don't start drinking water until closer to lunch which isn't enough. So maybe chugging my coffee should be a goal lol. -ETA Eat more vegetables.
Fitness goals: -Buy Fitbit and set goals that actually push myself. -Continue daily challenges but move up to harder levels. -Get up from my desk and walk around at least twice a day. -Go for a long walk at least once a week.

goldenlove a few minutes a day will absolutely make a difference. That's activity you weren't doing before. I just did day 30 of my challenge. I only lost 2-3lbs, but I can see significant (to me) improvement in my shape and strength. Now I'm ready to move on to something harder.

Yes goldenlove just getting into a habit and a routine will make a huge difference. They say diet is 80% of it so if you can stick to your diet goals and incorporate some movement in your day I'm sure you will feel better and see some results!

Yes goldenlove I agree that even just getting into the mindset will be huge! When I first started getting into working out years ago, I promised myself I'd go to the gym 'x' number of days. Even on the days I didn't want to, I promised myself that I'd at least get dressed and go, even if all I did was walk in and turn around and walk out. That never happened, I always ended up staying and at least doing something. And it started a good pattern. Do something everyday, even if it's climbing a set of stairs every chance you get.

I didn't work out yesterday but I stuck to my clean eating so I'm still counting it as a success. I am hoping to go for a morning walk with the boys and if I am lucky enough to coordinate their naps, workout during then. I made a bomb omelette this morning. I had leftover chicken sausage from dinner last night so I sautéed that with onion, tomatoes, and spinach.
