Hey cnf, I don't want to post this in the D15 group today (obviously) but we got an "ok to wake" clock to help M with bedtime and it has been a miracle worker. If you think you can reason with E about the fact that she needs to be in bed when bunny is sleeping and she'll get it, I would totally check it out. M was refusing to lay down in his crib and would scream and cry but now we use the 10 min bedtime countdown for snuggles and talking about bed and when he goes in the crib I just explain that since bunny is sleeping, he needs to, and he lays right down. A damn miracle, I tell you. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00C0XNITU/ref=mp_s_a_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1501706854&sr=8-3&keywords=kid%27sleep+clock

I didn't realise placentas could move this late on now, I'll be sure to ask where DD's is on Saturday.
I had at 20 weeks, a anterior placenta that was high. I've been wondering the past week or so since I can feel DD everywhere and see the movements on the outside a lot now.

I'm sure D15 will resume chatter at some point once emotions calm some.

I've been wondering the past week or so since I can feel DD everywhere and see the movements on the outside a lot now. From what I've read, they can shift around up to 32 weeks or so. I'm just hoping mine stops moving towards my cervix and I don't end up with previa because that usually means bed rest. But this is all from Dr. Google so who knows.

So do I clean up my house before DH gets home tomorrow night or just ... let it chill? I DID run the dishwasher, but DS decided to dump everything in his play kitchen out into the living room via his dump truck so there's just a pile of play food, duplos, and random other stuff. Eh, I think I clean it up after I put DS to bed. He did not nap at daycare today. So it will be ... interesting. He's currently watching a video of trains. Whatever man. #2 is bouncing/kicking away in utero.

Busy week and I need to catch up on here.
Should I fire our nanny when school starts? We know her. My daughter likes her (she is going to K though). We already have another part time nanny lined up since the nanny is in school. She was an hour late yesterday. She said her alarm didn't go off because of a storm. Last week, she was late 10-15 min twice. My husband talked to her. Last week, I took J to an appointment and then worked from home. J started crying. I left it for a minute and still crying. I went to get him and noticed that nanny was sleeping in the living room. D was watching TV. Later that week, D told me the nanny was sleeping with J on the sofa. We almost fired her yesterday. I was livid.
We are meeting another nanny tonight. We would need to change hours with the other nanny, but I am not sure if that will work.

you, sleeping on the job is not OK. in my mind, she's putting both kids in danger by doing that. I'm leaning toward letting her go ASAP, especially if you already have someone potentially lined up.

bazi I'm sorry you're having such a shitty day. I don't know much about the placenta moving like that. Does it mean bed rest cause of risk of preterm labor? Maybe buy a nice treat in lieu of wine? Hugs

Hugs I think so...because of bleeding concerns. But I'm getting ahead of myself and worst case scenario-ing. I definitely indulged in some Sephora therapy today, I think I will have a spa night tonight!

Being late is a deal breaker for me in and of itself, because I cannot be late for work every day. But the nanny being asleep while in the job makes me absolutely livid.

Had another US this morning. Placenta has moved...in the wrong direction. It is basically now touching my cervix. So no sex for Mr Bazi anymore (not that it's happened lately anyway) and I can't treat this yeast infection. The baby is fine, and I know there are way worse things that can happen during pregnancy, but I am just so frustrated and emotional that I feel like I am going to start crying in my office. Damn these all glass walls! Oh I am so sorry.

***TRIGGER*** This is the first time I've felt bad about being pregnant and wanted to hide away because of it. *trigger trigger trigger* My BFF's step mum gave birth on Sunday, the baby was nearly 22 weeks, and lived for an hour and a half. This baby was a very much wanted and an IVF baby, step mum and dad had been trying for over ten years. As expected everyone is heartbroken, including my BFF. The little boys funeral is on Tuesday and my BFF got told to bring somebody for support. Her dad said basically not to bring me. Which I TOTALLY get. But stings slightly as I've known her dad for a long time, I'm going to get them a card and give it to my BFF. She's going to bring our other BFF, but it's just harder for her as she has to sort out 3 kids child care and lives 20 minutes away, while I live up the road, literally. Now I'm scared about bumping into her dad and step mum as it's a small town, as I'll feel like I'm shoving my bump in their face. Can you watch the kids for her? I am sorry for the loss. :-(

He was getting up between 4:30 and 5 for months, so at age 2, we tried this. Within a week he was staying in bed until the green light came on. Best purchase we made!

I will check it out! Thanks for thinking of me. I'm sure D15 will resume chatter at some point once emotions calm some. I've also heard good things about it on F14! It is truly amazing. I told my H tonight I was divorcing him and marrying the bunny clock. Perfect bedtime, which hasn't happened in forever. Best $40 I've ever spent.

you +1 for hiring a new nanny. Being late multiple times and sleeping while caring for your children are both unacceptable in my opinion. There may be an adjustment period, but I'm sure your kids will be fine with a new nanny.

I'll likely order that bunny clock, but my goodness, my kid went to bed tonight. Lately when I kiss her good night and go to leave she sits up and crawls to the end of the bed by the door to meltdown. Today she stayed laying while she cried, for only a few minutes, then tossed and turned for like ten minutes until she fell asleep. I hope we're turning a corner. I miss my good sleeper.

I'm waiting in carline to pick DD up from her first day of third grade. I can't wait to hear about her day! I'm also glad I listened to my gut and got here early because it's slowly turning into a madhouse of cars and parents. School is starting already?! Where are you from again? I still have 5 weeks off.
