So my mom has decided she wants to throw me a sprinkle after all. I've finally gotten the itch to start buying things for this little one, so I guess I shouldn't. She's also nudged me a few times to go for a scheduled RCS because I think she's super nervous about potentially missing the birth. Except if I go early again I won't even make it to an RCS, so no. And given how many times I've been woken up by too strong BH recently, me thinks my irritable ute doesn't plan to play nice this time either. Sorry mama.

grumpycat , I had shit loads of heartburn with DS, he came out with a lovely little covering, it all pretty much fell out when he did his little balding spell. bubbles I think twins would do the opposite of baby fever for me 😂 Same with DD! She had a good amount of hair, but then it fell out and she got the old man ring. Haha. I was trying to find a pic to show it, and stumbled upon this one where DD was at peak chunk. This summer 2014 album is actually my background on my laptop (scrolls through pics), so I was looking through them last night with DD. She was so tickled to see herself as a baby, haha. Anyway, if anyone needs a new dose of baby fever:

DS was born with tons of hair then it all fell out around 6 months. Grew back by 9 months and started curling around a year 😍 we weren't sure it was going to curl because it was straight for awhile.

***TRIGGER***
This is the first time I've felt bad about being pregnant and wanted to hide away because of it. *trigger trigger trigger*
My BFF's step mum gave birth on Sunday, the baby was nearly 22 weeks, and lived for an hour and a half. This baby was a very much wanted and an IVF baby, step mum and dad had been trying for over ten years.
As expected everyone is heartbroken, including my BFF.
The little boys funeral is on Tuesday and my BFF got told to bring somebody for support. Her dad said basically not to bring me. Which I TOTALLY get. But stings slightly as I've known her dad for a long time, I'm going to get them a card and give it to my BFF. She's going to bring our other BFF, but it's just harder for her as she has to sort out 3 kids child care and lives 20 minutes away, while I live up the road, literally.
Now I'm scared about bumping into her dad and step mum as it's a small town, as I'll feel like I'm shoving my bump in their face.

beefinch I am so very sorry ❤ As someone who was in that position I can give you some perspective. Please don't take it personally that they requested you not be there. I did everything in my power to not be around babies, pregnant women, and everything related. So I wouldn't worry about running into her. Just do as you normally would if you do run into her. It's not your fault if you do see her and don't go out of your way to avoid her. I think sending a card with your condolences is perfect. Again, I am so very sorry that they are going through this right now.

quinn, I did think of you when I got the news, and didn't want to post it on here in case it brought up any trigger feelings for you. I'm not remotely taking it personally, it's just hard when I do want to say how sorry and cry for her (I used to work with step mum also) Life is so cruel sometimes

I've gotten used to being triggered and learned coping techniques from my therapist that really helped. I know a lot of people around me didn't know how to respond and react to me when it happened, so I just wanted to shed some light on that front. I know some people avoided me and that hurt more than it being confronted. I wouldn't wish it on anyone to go through. I will keep them and you in my prayers.

Exhausted and already having heartburn. About to have a lengthy meeting during which baby is going to be partying it up ninja style. S/he is already starting lol. I'm always a bit self-conscious when baby is going insane and you can clearly see the movement on the outside. I'm assuming my anterior placenta has shifted. I need some of this kid's energy.

Sorry you're exhausted and heartburny! My baby is starting to move A LOT more and is getting way stronger. I can see it from the outside all the time now. I don't think other people notice though unless I make them watch, haha. Sorry to hear about your friend beefinch, I'm never sure what to do in situations like that, so if someone tells me what to do, then I'm happy. I think a card would be nice.

I just got back from meeting with a doula. I really like her, so I'm thinking Friday I might let her know I'd like to go ahead and hire her. I know I should meet more than one, but I just don't want to. We meshed great so I think she'll be a good fit.

Had another US this morning. Placenta has moved...in the wrong direction. It is basically now touching my cervix. So no sex for Mr Bazi anymore (not that it's happened lately anyway) and I can't treat this yeast infection.
The baby is fine, and I know there are way worse things that can happen during pregnancy, but I am just so frustrated and emotional that I feel like I am going to start crying in my office.
Damn these all glass walls!

I'm waiting in carline to pick DD up from her first day of third grade. I can't wait to hear about her day!
I'm also glad I listened to my gut and got here early because it's slowly turning into a madhouse of cars and parents.

I'm so sorry bazi, cry all you want. That is incredibly frustrating. I am currently indulging in online retail therapy to distract myself. Overpriced eye cream anyone?

Sounds like I'll be going home in about 24 hours. They'll start to take me off the heparin drip once it's been 48 hours, and I'll be sent home on 70mg of lovenox injections twice a day (more than 3x what I was on before). I'll be following up with my hematologist, my ob, and an MFM. I'll also be delivering at a hospital that specializes in high risk pregnancy/delivery....hopefully not until at least October.
