60 minute PZE with Wilpers this morning. Lots of fun throwback songs. It was 8,10,10,8 minute zone 3’s with zone 2 recoveries. I was feeling good and riding high in my zones, and I realized half way I was within 10 of PR range so I pushed it and rode in zone 4 for the last two intervals, with recovery in low 3. New PR and it didn’t even feel impossible! I also hit 150 miles for the month. Then I did a 10 minute arms with Sam Yo and a 5 minute core with Robyn.
Headed to a pool party this afternoon!

It’s been a busy week and I wasn’t able to get in any runs home. I did 8km this morning!

Long 2h run for 16k (10 miles I think) with the run club this morning. Beautiful day for it! That’s my longest run since my half in March, but felt way better than that race so all this training must be doing something 🤷♀️

Hi. So I’ve officially crashed and burned. After several weeks of feeling off and having lots of weird symptoms, my anxiety peaked and I had a scary panic attack. I almost went to the ER but was able to manage at home. It sent me into a complete tailspin where I told everyone I was quitting my job and that was that. Luckily the healthcare system didn’t fail me and I was able to meet with both my therapist and my GP yesterday. We got a plan in place meds and intervention wise and they are advising me to take a 6 week leave of absence. I talked to my boss and told her I need to weigh my options and decide when I am a little more clear headed. Of course timing as it is, I’m supposed to be on vacation starting Monday. I wasn’t sure if I could go because my body has been in a serious hangover since Thursday. Like cannot move kind of stuff. But I slept 13 hours (without assistance) last night and feel somewhat better today. So I think I will go on vacation and decide about leave. I’m 90% sure I need it because the thought of going back to work makes me have a physical sensation of dry heaving and my nervous system is completely shot.
While at the doctor I had her test my FSH levels and guess what - I am in perimenopause range if not post menopausal. We are going to have to check again in a couple of months because I just stopped birth control a couple of weeks ago. But anyways also need to sort that out because that is likely contributing to all the changes I’ve been experiencing in my sleep and body.
If you read that brain dump, thank you.
I have survived in part on peloton meditations this week. Particularly Kira’s. And today I did the most recent Sundays with Love ride and it was like she was speaking specifically to me. I needed that so badly.

jaygee so many big awkward hugs. That all sounds similar to what happened to me at the end of my last job. I’m so glad you met with your HCPs and are getting what sounds like very good advice. 💕💕

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the support. This is big and scary but at least today I feel like I’m going to be ok.

We didn’t get home until super late last night, and I chose sleep over getting up to swim laps, but I did do an intense intervals and arms workout with Hannah F from a couple of months ago.

Morning.
We went down to the canal and kayaked for about an hour this morning. Then when we got home I did a 20 minute house run and a 5 minute core. Paddling and hauling kayaks, especially H's new 13' beast of a boat, was a solid upper body workout.
Yoga tonight.

Sending love jaygee I’m glad you’re doing what you need to take care of yourself. You are going to be ok. You are smart and mostly 😉 level headed At least enough to admit you need help from medical and mental health professionals. It might take a bit but you will be ok.

jaygee glad you were able to see the doctors and hope you are able to enjoy your vacation. I can’t remember where I left off. I’m trying move (walks or lite rides) every day but I have not been closing my rings. I feel much better but this cough is lingering. We have two concerts this week and I want to feel good and enjoy them so just trying to continue taking it easy.

Needed to do something today but DS was feeling puny this morning and the gym closes early on Sunday. So I went for a 40 min zone 2 bike. Thankfully it didn’t feel like I’ve been off the bike for basically a week.

Rest day today, so 30 minutes of yoga and a swim with the boys. The weather has been gorgeous, though it’s getting quite windy now. I’m in the office three days this week and kind of dreading it because I know how exhausting it will be, but at least we have Wednesday off for Juneteenth. It’s weird to have a mid-week day off, but I’ll take it!

Happy Monday! I almost slept in but convinced myself to get out of bed for a 20 minute hip hop ride with Leanne and a 5 minute core with Callie. Good to start the day with something.

I'm off today because I have to get a crown. Bummer, but I got a long run in at least.
45 minute endurance run with Susie 30 minute progressive run with Becs 5 minute cool down run with Jess Sims 5 minute core with Olivia 10 minute stretch with Logan
I picked up 8.4 miles. I could have pushed harder on the cool down to round up to the half mile, but, meh. Yoga tonight.
Probably having ice cream tonight. DD1 teacher's family owns a horse farm and she's hosting a big end of school year ice cream and horse ride party. The kids are stoked. Otherwise my eating should be on point.

I haven't been here in a few weeks, but I came here to say I'm so bummed to hear about Kristin McGee. She was my absolute favorite Pilates instructor Thursdays are my recovery day and I would always do one of her workouts. Still around, still doing Peloton strength and trying to maintain my weight amidst all the summer fun. Hope you guys are doing well <3 Today I did 20 min G/L with Adrian, 10 min G/L with JJ, 10 min core with Matty. I'll walk later around 8-830pm when the sun's gone, since its 95 degrees here today.

jaygee I hope you are able to relax and get some clarity on holiday. 4km run home for me today, it felt like crap and I’m tired overall.

No workouts for me this weekend. Saturday felt like one long nap session, but I think my body needed the rest. Sunday, I did a lot of cleaning and organizing as it was too hot to do anything outside.
I am seriously bummed that Kristin is leaving. She is by far my favorite yoga instructor, especially the yoga for runners.

Kristen McGee is leaving too! What is happening!? Wahhhhh. Pelobuddy has an article up. I guess Peloton clarified that these three left during contract negotiations. Sounds like it’s just them. But I know the company has struggled a bit lately.
