This sinus thing has left me just surviving this week. And this week has been a tough one work wise and emotionally. I was able to finally do my 30 min threshold training run yesterday and it felt good. I still struggle to run at a certain pace but I am trying, lol.
I followed it up with a full body stretch with jj.
Hoping for a 45 min run before grabbing the kids. I am then going to take them to the fields to practice/screw around on the fields. Swing by brewery for beer. Go home make/eat tacos and watch a movie or play a game with the kiddos.
A few Friday nights ago, we swung by a brewery, ate pizza, played yahtzee, went home continued yahtzee for the rest of the night. the kids absolutely had a blast, so I want to do that again.

H is finally back in town, so I could go to CF this morning instead of running. Today was strength only, bench press, skull crushers, lateral rows, and we worked on handstand progressions. Turns out, I can walk on my hands. Who knew? Food has been good - I've been sticking to my macros and the scale is down into the next decade. Barely, but enough to keep me going.

Good morning.
Did a joyous 8 miles to Becs' 75 minute run. Felt awesome, happy with the mileage. I love running! Did a 5 minute core and a 10 minute stretch after. Yoga tonight.
DD1 went to work with H so I'm taking DD2 to the coffee shop in town in a bit for fancy drinks. Then we'll meet up with DD1 and H for lunch out followed by taking the girls to an indoor play place inside a converted warehouse. It's wide open with booths running down the center, so hopefully they'll just jam around while I sit and read, lol.

Morning workout done and dusted before I headed to my volunteer event.
- 30 min Legs & Shoulders with RK - 10 min Full Body Stretch with Callie
After 2 rounds, I’m still loving RK’s 5 day split.

We lived in Seattle for a few years when I was a kid and we'd get earthquakes pretty frequently, but I think we've only ever had one in the like 25 years since we moved to NY, and it was a baby shake. You guys got a real rocker down there this morning! Glad you're all ok!

I didn’t check in yesterday, I don’t think- it was mostly a rest day, but I took a walk with DD2 and DS to the library and back. It was only a mile total, but took about 40 minutes round trip bc DD2 was on her scooter lol.
Went to OTF this morning. It was a great power day. I felt good. The strength work was fun, too- mini band work. I’m going to be sore.

Nothing the past two days. Rain plus sinuses.
Today I settled for a 20 min recovery ride, 5 min cool down ride, 5 min stretch
Tomorrow I packed our schedule so probably more nothing. Hopefully will get back to normal once the kids go back to school Monday.

Today was a fun day out with friends. I thought about waking up early but hahahahah no. So. Evening swim for me today, a mini speed workout. Good news is I really do feel like strengthening my upper body has helped me sustain better form. Now not to lose it…. I’m still struggling a bit to maintain lifting with my tri workouts but today’s swim was good motivation to keep making the effort.

90 minute PZE with Wilpers this morning and a post ride stretch. I was digging deep for the last 20 minutes, but I ended up with a 40 pt PR!
Also, Christian Vande Velde was on the ride, and they announced he’s returning to Peloton as an official instructor! His first ride is tomorrow at noon. I’ve heard so much about him from OG PZ riders. I’m excited!

I don’t peloton but I enjoy watching CVV when he has done the Tour de France broadcasts and imagine I’d like his spin classes!
It’s FINALLLLY sunny today. A bit chilly but oh the blue sky!!! We dragged DS along for a trail run/ride. (He biked) my first trail run of the year. None of the trails here are really intense but we went to one a bit more hilly than some. Anyway 30 min zone 2 so very slow but good.

The past 2 mornings have been spent in the garage on the treadmill, only way for me to get my miles in. it sucks, ha! But I am doing my training runs so that is all that matters.
Yesterday was a VO2 run Today was a 30 min endurance run.
Meal planning, grocery shopping and laundry are on my list today.

Fuck, I am so tired.
I took a rest day yesterday and only did a 5 minute core for my streaks. We left the house at 7am to go to Syracuse for Monster Jam and didn't get home until almost 10pm. And my house is the worst, we've been up for the day since 5am. Why are my children so broken about sleep? I got 12k steps in yesterday, so that was good. And my biceps are busted from carrying DS around so much. Like, so sore.
This morning I got in a ride while DS came downstairs and threw many tantrums because he is an overtired wreck.
5 minute warm up ride with Sam 30 minute house ride with Jess King Extra 10 ride with Erik 5 minute core with Olivia 5 minute stretch with Emma
Yoga tonight. My legs are more tired today, the day AFTER my rest day, than the were yesterday ON my rest day. So dumb.
I need a mainline of caffeine stat.

OTF Strength 50 this morning. It was a good one, and I went heavier than I think I ever have for some exercises. I’m up to 35 for single arm chest presses and single arm low rows. I think I could go up to 40. We also did a lot of mini band work, and that always gets me in the best way.

No intentional activity for me this weekend but tons of steps walking around the city. I’m in Vancouver with my DD for her cheer competition. I love this city 😍

CF this morning. I wasn't feeling the greatest, but I got it done and can check the box for the day. My 70 year old aunt is on her way to my house. Somehow, I got roped into driving her to see the eclipse. We have to head a couple of hours south into Ohio to see full totality. I am DREADING the traffic and spent all weekend anxious and thinking of ways to back out. But she is SO EXCITED. She's sent me no less than 6 different links all about the eclipse in the last 72 hours and I just can't do that to her. This is beyond bucket list for her, so I'm smiling and popping my anxiety meds. And, I figured if we're going to do it we might as well go big, so I'm bringing the kids with us too. They're also very very excited for an adventure with their favorite great aunt. Thoughts and prayers please....

My house is like 3 miles from the dead center of totality and it's supposed to be cloudy during the eclipse here. But my in laws are here and we'll make the best of it. Still bummed to miss the better view of it given that we live smack dab in the center of totality.

Morning.
60 minute progression run with Becs 5 minute core with Olivia 10 minute stretch with Robin
Yoga tonight.
Woof, I was struggling on that run. I had a hard time keeping my breathing in check and was sucking wind at the faster speeds that I can normally cruise at. Still set a new 60 minute PR and a new tread fastest 10k, so I guess I did ok. I wish I felt better during it though. My lungs were cranky.
Back work tomorrow after 11 days off. Ugh. The stretch to summer break from here is SO long.
