Weight lifted today, I may try and at least walk on the teadmill later. This month’s mileage is pathetically low.
Anyway gym felt fine, not amazing eventhough objectively my weights/sets were really good. I’m moping because the literal pre-teen who plopped down next to me ended up benching my deadlift weight 😒😑 whatever. I’m making progress.

Accidentally over scheduled errands yesterday and then work was uncharacteristically busy so no workout.
Today I did Christine’s 30 min holiday ride and 10 minute holiday cooldown ride. Whoever recommended it before, thanks. It was just enough without feeling like I had to push.
Hoping for a run tomorrow AM, will have to be on the tread though.

So busy these last few days. Tomorrow I just have a couple meetings and the rest will just be cleaning up odds and ends before two whole weeks off. I am so thrilled. It’s been a while since I’ve limped across the finish line this badly at work. But man, this was a fucking crazy work year.
Anyways, yesterday I got in just strength but then walked all over the mall finishing shopping.
10 min Madonna standing core with RK 30 min legs and biceps with RK (split day 3)
Today was active recovery and I didn’t do the 6 am thing. So after work I did the holiday XOXO Cody and a really nice 20 min r&b slow flow with Aditi.
Wishing everyone healthy vibes and recovery before any holidays plans.

Woof.
I did Becs' most recent 60 minute interval run and holy hell, that is a soul crushing workout. I picked up 6.25 miles and PRed by like 26 points or something ridiculous. The hill work was brutal, but aside from two walk breaks towards the end I did the whole thing to fidelity. I never have to walk, even during longer runs. I'm going to tell myself it's because I'm still working through a gravely RSV cough, but really I think that workout just crushed me.
I'm going to do my favorite 20 minute super stretchy yoga tonight. I also told the girls we'd go ice skating today, so I still have that on deck too.
Goal is food today. Yesterday was a massive train wreck of sweets and trash food. I need to clean up today.

I feel human today but not enough to do any workouts.
I may do some stretching though because basically 3 days on the couch and bed has caused havoc on my back

20 minute feel good ride with Hannah C. I thought I’d have plenty of time to do more, but a series of events, including being locked out because our lock needed WD-40, and so my key wouldn’t go in, left me with much less time than I thought. I may do some more tonight, or just extra tomorrow morning. We’ll see. Excited for a break!

Yesterday I didn’t go to OTF. I did go bowling and chased the toddler around, with MIL’s help.
Today I went to OTF and it was kinda blah. I didn’t feel quite right. I also really don’t like 3G classes. The rowing wasn’t too bad though, I guess. Plus the OTBeat wasn’t working.

Plyos, overhead press, chin ups. My right shoulder got SUPER unhappy during overhead press for the 2nd week in a row. I wouldn’t think it was much different that the DB Z press I was doing but I might try DB next week to see? Was able to get out and get some more stuff done today so I’m in good shape for the next few days. Thankfully because it was SO busy.

I think that’s the most difficult class for me of the split. But it’s still very doable. And it has the best playlist of the whole split.

60 minute PZE with Wilpers. It was an Encore ride of last week’s 60. But I PR’d again! I need to do an FTP before the new year.
Then 10 minutes light arms with Sam Yo. I’d forgotten how good his arms classes are. They burn right from the start. And a 5 minute core with Adrian.

30 minute reggaeton ride with Camila Extra 10 ride with Ally 5 minute stretch with Emma
Yoga is questionable. The Bills play at 8 so it would have to be before, so we'll see.
Food should be fine. I'll have pita and hummus during the game, but otherwise I'll stay the course today.

Jokes on me because I had to get up at 6:30 to get my workout in before my hair appointment. lol

Two weeks of the split program done. I’m really enjoying it now that I’m settled in. I’m ready to go up in weights on some moves next week. I’m still missing my cardio but finding ways to squeeze it in.

Morning.
30 minute holiday run with Susie 10 minute cool down run with Kirsten 5 minute stretch with Camila
Treated the cool down like an extra 10 instead since they didn't drop any holiday extra 10 workouts. Picked up 4.5 miles and I'm feeling good. Less coughing, still loads of snot though while running. So gross. Over it.
I always make poppyseed chicken tonight and the kids and I will bake and decorate sugar cookies, so I'll eat a lot of those too. I'm looking forward to it 😊

Hi!
Finished 8 weeks of RK's split yesterday. Whew. I'm definitely a lot stronger. I told my H that I caught a glimpse of my ass in the mirror and I had damn near a shelf back there. I like it.
Sunday's usually my day off and I have food prep to do all day, and I'll take tomorrow off also since we're traveling around most of the day. Next week I plan on taking it easy with a lot of Pilates and maybe some of the holiday strength classes that I haven't had time to do.
I went on a little bar tour with a few friends yesterday and had such a good time. The holiday excess has begun, lol.

30 minute holiday ride with CDE, 10 minute holiday cooldown with CDE and 5 minute post ride stretch with Mila (in German.) I’m at 190.4 miles for the month so far, so if I can do a 30 minute ride tomorrow morning, that should take me to 200!

An active “rest” day yesterday in which I took 20k steps around San Diego 😊 A bit more of that today, we’ll see if I run when we get home but I’m sort of assuming the next two days are not going to have a ton of official exercise, and I’m okay with it.

I’m back. Ish. I took the last 4 days to rest my hip and just did some massage gun/stretching/mobility class stuff. I decided to try it out on an easy and slow 2 miles today. Because it’s 50° on Christmas and I couldn’t take it anymore 🤣 It felt a little stiff as I started going but then was fine during the run. We’ll see how it feels in a few hours and then I’ll decide if I should rest more or what.

Happy Christmas Eve! I went with my sister to the gym. I did a 10 minute warm up run with Joselyn, and then a 45 minute full body Gym workout. When we got home we all took a walk around the neighborhood with the dogs.
Now I’m eating a bunch of cheese and crackers lol. I have some veggies too, at least!

Active recovery day for me. I did Ally’s holiday ride and Aditi’s Chloe Flowers holiday yoga. Both were so great. Good break from the same 10 songs in the other holiday classes and just really nicely programmed too.
We are going ice skating in a bit so that should be some more work.
Then cheese and chocolate fondue for dinner.

I didn’t have time yesterday for anything. Today I did Kendall’s 30 min paramount holiday ride, plus a cool down ride and stretch.
I want to run outside tomorrow, but I need to be realistic. So, goal is to get something in after we do our grandparent visits.

Yesterday was a good movement day. Walk with the fam around the neighborhood. Walked to the park with DS. Then Robin’s holiday ride (also loved, from someone who’s generally not into Robin rides) with Mila’s holiday post-ride stretch.
It’s supposed to rain most of today. And DS hasn’t let us sleep well lately, so it might be a restorative yoga kind of day. Merry Christmas, motivation family!

Merry Christmas 5k for me today. It took every ounce of determination to get my running gear on but once I was out it felt good so I kept going lol. Having temps mid-50’s is wild but that also helped to get me out the door. It was fast for me (first mile was sub-12 min despite a 3 min walk to warm up) so hopefully I’m still good for squat day tomorrow.

20 minute holiday ride with Ben this morning. I feel awful again and I put in as little effort as possible while staying within the call outs. I was just not interested. It wouldn't have mattered what workout I picked, I was just not feeling it. If anything is an indicator that I don't feel well it's my lack of interest in working out. That's it for me today. Hopefully I feel better tomorrow so I can run.
