I feel like the lipgloss situation is a thing because I think both women eat crackers for each other and made that whole thing a petty thing.
I’d be skeeved about sharing makeup of any kind so I get kate and feeling weird about sharing it. If I were her, I would personally be like just keep it. But I think there’s cracker eater situation among both women.
Kate could easily been like keep it girl, I’ll send one of my assistants on a wild goose hunt to get me a replacement. Like no big deal and shit easily fixable. that lipstick isn’t the issue. I bet it’s not a one of a kind and affordable. I think they just don’t like each other and being petty. Which is fine. But I don’t think it’s cultural.

Even with the lipgloss thing, Harry admitted it was a culture clash that made Kate uncomfortable, but didn’t call her a bitch or anything. Kate sounds like she needs to unclench. |

The latter part of the book is a lot about how the high up staff that Harry reached out to flat out did not do shit. Said they would make a plan to address x,y,z and just never got back to him and Meghan. It read like there was a lot of strings pulled by the staff to mess with H&M.

I can believe this And if it was the media stuff with Kate and Meghan and it turns out that old Cam is behind a lot of that, pieces start fitting into place for me. I'm not absolving Kate of being a bitch, but it could be Camilla wanted to keep them at odds so they couldn't unite against her. You're not going to bitch about your SMIL to your SIL if you and SIL don't trust each other. |

I just realized I have 3 different lip products in my purse. A lip tint from Chapstick, a lip gloss and a lipstick. I can’t relate to Meg forgetting. I have lip goo in my car too just in case.

I’m laughing at Will threatening to shave off Harry’s beard during Harry’s bachelor party because he was pissed that QEII let him keep it for the wedding but he had to shave his off. He really comes off as incredibly petulant and immature. Can’t imagine why, what with his immense responsibility drilled into his head since birth and never addressing childhood trauma.

M forgot lip gloss before some joint event and asked K to use hers. K gave it to her, but I guess grimaced? Seemed less than super thrilled about it? H says this is a cultural issue because Americans share lip products? I actually think it’s likely that someone who does a lot of work with makeup artists for TV share lip products. Because, I, an American, do not share lip products. I think of it more “cultural” in the celebrity vs “regular”. I guarantee she shared lip gloss at some point on the red carpet. I remember sharing it with friends when I was prime bar/night club age. I wouldn’t now and stopped way before Covid so it’s still a no from me. But I do think instead of giving it to her and grimacing I would have straight up said sorry I have a thing with sharing lip stuff And this happened right before they did an event, right? |

Which is why I was saying it’s a cracker eater thing. I think everyone in that family is every man for themselves. This was my initial reaction to Kate not wanting to share a lipgloss that really could easily be replaced and given away. |

I do think she is/was much more aware of Royal protocol than Meghan (which makes sense - she’s been around/in the family for 20 odd years), and that that protocol was more important to uphold than it would have been to Meghan when they first met (which again makes total sense - future Queen Consort v woman newly dating 5th in-line to the throne). |
