The thing that's really been in my mind since watching the docuseries is how much the media impacted Harry. It was so much larger of a thing in that generations life so early than it had been for prior generations. It really makes me fearful for the impact it will have on Will and Kate's kids.

I guess I’m just not surprised shows are calling him and his people are telling him to do it I'm not surprised they're calling him but we already know Anderson is going to ask about the family and possibly the Netflix series and how he never fit in and it's just going to spin the negativity wheel again. |

It's like the most drawn out family drama on the planet at this point. If you want to walk away from the toxicity, I support it, but make a clean break.
ETA I say that as someone who has done it. I don't talk to or about those relatives and relationships. They're in the rearview.

I do think to a degree his biggest issues are specifically with the royal rota and having control of who get access to him ang his family. But the point does get murky when it feels as he's being very talkative with many media in multiple formats.

As someone who cut out someone for racism I had a hard time not taking about it. Especially when that family member constantly made it seem as though it didn’t happen and I was to much. Not saying it’s the same thing but it’s hard
As for the media thing I take it as he is controlling what media he talks to etc which he has never had control over.
Not saying that he isn’t contradicting himself or that it isn’t a lot of coverage etc just saying I understand

Harry seems to be on an "educate the public" tour about the rota/ paparazzi, but I think a large part of the problem is that most people don't care. And for those that do, he's now preaching at the proverbial choir. He's at the balance point of risk/ reward.

I think with a lot of their statements and different things released (and have said this for awhile) that they tend to overexplain. But I also see where that could be the result of never feeling heard. And I think there is a such a varying understanding and interest level that for them to repeat something enough for those who just have a passing interest to get it, those of us who follow it are like “we get it already.” |

Yes, his issue (rightfully so) is with the British tabloids. They use his family stories as currency to trade and sell papers. In addition to the mindset that British taxpayers pay for the BRF so they are entitled to access. It's a nasty arrangement that the BRF is supportive of, the family is the host and he tabloids are the parasite. Definitely not the same as US press. |

And while it can look like talking in circles it’s often more like a spiral, revisiting the same theme from a new understanding each time. I completely understand from a personal healing context. I wonder, however, if it's the wisest move in the greater scheme. If you begin to annoy the people whose money you need to buy your book, watch your documentary, support your foundation, attend your conference talks, etc, is it worth the cost? That's for them to say, of course. I'm not personally bothered either way. But others will be, regardless of how easy it is to tune out. |
