Harry needs to fire his therapist and his whole team. Yes! I get that he wants his family and yes I do think that if they stood up for them with the press they would have stayed and tried to do things within the firm to help. BUT they didn’t Harry and you need to show this “learning” you say you have done. You need to do the learning so when Meghan isn’t there you don’t do ::all of this::: It makes me think he hasn't learned much at all. |

I really think that a lot of the specific anecdotes in the book are like...things that he's brought up in therapy in attempts to make meaning from them? But instead of working through them longterm with a qualified mental health professional, he's like "Hey! I'm going to share this meaning with the whole world! And then my family will see me and love me and what to be in relationship with me!" But that's not how any of this works. I totally understand that anything from the Sussex fam is in high demand right now, and strike while the iron is hot and all that. But I think Harold needed more time to reflect and process, and this book is not… it. Whoever is helping them with their business decisions needs to be fired. |

Again as the clear spare of my family despite being oldest I used to be Harry. I consistently tried to go above and beyond for my family to prove my spot in the family. It’s taken a lot of time and significant things happening for me to get to the fuck it point and I still find myself sliding into that role sometime. My family has a way of making you feel a way if you don’t do things in certain ways etc.
But Harry’s therapist should be letting him know that he isn’t going to get this from his family. He hasn’t in what 38 years why would they do it now. Now you have a family of your own who have directly been impacted by this family you are trying so hard to show how much you love them so get it together

Yup. Basically said he hasn't heard from them in a while but he loves them and wants a relationship. He also mentioned how W said H had to pretend he didn't know him when they were both at the same school, basically W forbidding H from talking to hin 🙄 H is probably stagnated in his growth/learning in any category by his desire for that connection. Look, I'm sure Archewell does wonderful work, but I'm not that interested in hearing a literal prince talk about his charitable efforts because...well...it's not that hard to be charitable with millions at your disposal. Most of the people following this want the dirt, and if that is what it takes to keep the $$ rolling in, then why not? I don't view him as somehow above doing what is pragmatic at this moment in time. |

I'm not reading the book. I haven't watched the recent round of interviews. All I've seen are the things discussed here. And based on that, I am choosing to completely dissociate Meghan from this shitshow.

I feel this solidifies my continued dislike of most celebrity memoirs. They just are never… great (yes I know some are. Don’t come for me with anecdotes of which ones are great). It just never goes right and mostly because it requires such a level of introspection that I feel most celebrities/privileged people don’t have.

Idk if this is a true excerpt but I saw somewhere that he met with a laundry list of activists and scholars (the one name I remember is Ibram X. Kendi) to learn how he could be a better ally. If that’s true and this is where he’s landed… oof. 😬

I got a glimpse of his GMA one and Michael asked him about basically feeding the beast and Harry said yes he understands the book is feeding the beast but he knew that was the only way to get the truths out. Which sure but damn Harry you are taking away from the truths with saying stupid shit in interviews which is why the media doesn’t believe you |
