Harry needs some more education on implicit bias, bigotry and racism. Along with micro aggressions and how they are in fact the product of racism. Yes, he made it clear that it was the product of them not educating themselves on bias, so he knows it was wrong. But I think he’s doing what too many of us tend to do when it is someone we love - we make excuses instead of calling it what it is. |

A term with lots of info out there, easily found, about what that behavior is, what it means, how to combat it… Not only cringe, but made me really feel for Meghan, Doria and the kids and thinking about how many times he might have done this to them. |

H clearly has blinders on to all the racism and bullshit and is desperate for his family's love and approval, or at least thinks that's more valuable. I have been pretty sympathetic towards H&M since everything unfolded, but he needs to put that behind him and do the work for his wife and kids

Harry seems to really separate the family from the family business. The rest of them do the opposite. They will never be able to reconcile until they view things the same way, and I don’t think they ever will.
Harry desperately wanted a family growing up and his is shit. That sucks, but it’s not going to change because they are benefitting from the status quo.

Yes, this made me laugh because I absolutely remember my oldest brother doing this to my other brother in high school. And refusing to drive him once he got his license and the younger one being mad he still had to ride the bus. |

I believe that Harry is speaking his truth primarily as he sees it- ie, I don’t think he’s making things up for book sales, but all memoirs are inherently skewed. But I also think he’s conscious of what will keep his stuff selling. For example, it might be better to watch him talk about Archewell’s charitable focus or specific work he’s done to overcome his biases, but he knows that a much smaller percentage of people will tune in for that. If he wants ratings, he needs to talk family.
He also knows that there are a good bit of royalists out there or even just people who think Will and Kate are glamorous and follow them. So he’s not going to let them have a sound byte of “no, I don’t want to ever speak to my family again” so instead he’s doing a dance of “of course I want them in my life but…..”
I think he’s deeply conflicted and that’s part of why he stayed longer than Meghan the last few trips when she basically went from last event to airport- she’s done, I would guess.

I mean...I have no idea what guests talked about on my wedding day as we were quite busy. I mean, besides how this was, bar none, the best wedding they had ever attended. Mine raved about cocktail hour. I had a cousin announce her engagement at another cousin's wedding (as a surprise) and it went over like a lead balloon. Another cousin got engaged the day before her future SIL's bridal shower and spent the party showing everyone her ring. The bride was not amused. You and I know better than anyone that personalities at weddings are wild! Is this where I remind everyone that my sister got engaged 5 months after me (he didn’t propose until October but they decided in June and told everyone) and did her wedding 3 months before me. By the time they got to my shower which was the first time some family saw her after her wedding so her honeymoon, new baby and married life was the topic of the day and my actual day they were wedding out. |

I scandalized my family by not doing a wedding party table (let alone a head table) and seating them with their spouses/dates. My sister (MOH) was single at the time so I basically gave her a table with our mutual friends and cool cousins. As long as they enjoyed the food and bar I didn't care who sat where. This is what I did too! I loved having just me and h for 30 minutes |

I get that he wants his family and yes I do think that if they stood up for them with the press they would have stayed and tried to do things within the firm to help. BUT they didn’t Harry and you need to show this “learning” you say you have done. You need to do the learning so when Meghan isn’t there you don’t do ::all of this::: |
