I do tend to side more with Harry and Meghan because of the double standard in holding them up to the microscope (and apparently, that's their fault, too, for putting themselves out there?) and yet not doing so with the rest of the BRF, Wills and Kate included, and the proverbial drop in the ocean comparatively. If there were objectivity where Harry and Meghan were concerned, I'd feel differently, but so much of what I have seen, heard, read, et al, makes it more than apparent there is definite bias (unconscious or decidedly conscious) at play. The double standard is absolutely in favor of William and Kate as the overwhelming majority of discussions on social media is giving every bit of grace to them, every excuse, every sort of quarter for their behavior but eviscerating Harry and Meghan. Like Will getting physical with Harry being championed and it being Harry's fault. I was one of the least likely to be a fan of Harry and Meghan, but it's this kind of discourse that nudged me into their corner and no, not a corner where I spend my time nodding and smiling at everything they do and say either. No one is blameless but far more often than not, only one couple is called out while the other is excused to the nth degree and I take issue with that, especially when the justifications for why one couple is excused don't make sense. YES. Very well said. |

I’m avoiding spoiler articles because I do want the context. So much is lost in a 2 sentence sound bite. I do think Harry approached this book with a laying it all out there mindset. If he tells everything about *his* life, then they have nothing to hang over his head. He can rip the band-aid off of having any leaks used as coverage in the future. This is what I’m thinking too. |

Did you see the Hasan Minaj Netflix special where he talks about realizing that he needs to stop intentionally aggravating authoritarian regimes because he has kids? Harry should watch. Can we send it to him? We know he doesn’t watch tv but he has to have a Netflix subscription |

I think it's good that Harry is including the stuff that he did that was messed up. Makes what he's saying more believable (to the general reader)? Makes him more relatable, as a flawed human. Yes but is he acknowledging that he messed up? Because from my seats, he brings up something he did wrong and then tries to spread the blame to others (see Nazi costume and W/K made me do it) After this book comes out, I hope he goes away and enjoys his millions |

There is an excerpt I just read where Will was scolding Meghan and she told him to stop waving his finger in her face. I don’t know how many of you watched Survivor back in the day, but I’m having a flashback to the Kimmie and Alicia fight.
Also that Charles and Camilla asked Kate to spell Catherine with a K instead of a C since they had names that began with C. Now I’m wondering if Charlotte’s name is petty revenge on Will and Kate’s part. (Justified if so)

eholmes has the pages with the kill count stuff on her Instagram stories and the context makes it less cringe and more impactful about the psychological damage done to soldiers in Afghanistan. Worth reading, but I still think he should up his security. I’m really horrified by the number of British journalists who are so full of hatred toward Harry and Meghan that they are siding with the Taliban on this. Not saying passage was inappropriate or dangerous or anything, but full on sharing Taliban released statements calling Harry a war criminal. |
