Hugs danib. That is the worst, the absolute worst. I hope he's cozy now and you can give him supportive cuddles tomorrow morning.

I'm so sorry danib. You are such an amazing mom to those boys and so strong day in and day out. I hope he has calmed down by now and you can relax in some way tonight. Hugs.

Speaking of sleep, we just had the bedtime from hell. H cried so hard he made me cry. Damn. I'm sorry it has been such a rough bedtime. I hope you get to relax and overnight is better.

Thanks ladies. I think it was a combination of heat (it's hot and humid) and being overtired from not napping well. He's sleeping soundly now.

The past two days I tried laying H down awake in his crib. (I've always rocked him to sleep.) Day 1-nap1 Took him 9 min Day 1-nap2 Took him 5 min Day 1-nap3 Took 3 min Day 1-bedtime Took 2 min He slept for 11 hours.
Day2-nap1 Took him 15 min Day2-nap2 Took him 4 min Day2-nap3 Took 6 min Day2-bedtime took 3 min He slept 11 hours.
Day3-nap1 took 2 min
I know some of you want to kill me but I'm really happy with these results. M was a horrible sleeper and I was terrified H would be the same way.

tgrimes that's awesome. I need to do that. B was also awful at falling asleep on his own and I don't want to repeat history with J. I keep telling myself "one more month" but I should really get on it ASAP. I think what's holding me back is that he sleeps through the night so I'm nervous to change anything!

Absolutely do not want to kill you tgrimes. Quite the opposite..it makes me hopeful for our next child. Whether they're better sleepers, I'm better prepared at knowing how to handle things, or a little of both. I'm so happy he's doing well for you.

M's trying all her might to drop down to one nap. How?! Why?! This is day four of it and I'm not sure what's going on.

I have no idea what she thinks she's doing but she is literally fighting me (pushing off of me, barrel rolling in my arms, trying to get down to the ground, pulling my hair) as her eyes close and open. This whole week has been like this.

Paging flamingo What ever happened with B's doctor visit to check out his snoring? Anything ever come from that? M doesn't quite snore, it's more of a snorting, every minute or so when she's in a deep sleep no matter her position.

@soohiegrace Just a thought, M could be going through a sleep regression. I'd give it a couple weeks before cutting down the naps to one.

I need that second nap time as much as she does right now even if it is just 30 minutes to read the news. There are no plans in the near future on giving up the good fight! And no worries on texting flamingo! Moving is stressful enough. No need to add my shenanigans on top of it.

W is out of his routine, screaming that he doesn't want to share his room, K in sleep regression. Tonight is hell.
But at least we have brownies.
We may need to move ahead of our closing date (end of August)

Gahhhh so much crying. Omg.
From what I'm reading this has to be regression. The screaming for hours on end at bedtime and hourly wake ups. I thought I broke her attempting CIO a few weeks ago, but google tells me this is a thing.
I needed to let this out because the only other person I have to talk to is passed out on the couch. That still warm dinner and those cold drinks must have been exhausting to consume. 😜

sophiegrace we're going through more nighttime crying as well. Every night is different, tonight she went down, cried for 15, I nursed her, fell asleep, and now just woke again after less than an hour. Last night, basically jumped in her crib and didn't hear a peep until 11:30pm. Every single night is different. Whomever is out of Leap 6 first PLEASE come and tell me how awesome it is because I need something to look forward to.

So.
After feeling strange all day I got hit with a really bad migraine during dinnertime. I didn't know what to do and was in a panic because there was no way I could deal with the normal nighttime shenanigans feeling that way. So I crawled into my bed with M hoping maybe I could get at least a nap in and feel well enough to handle. That was at 8. I woke up to H coming to bed at midnight and M was still asleep. The activity of him coming to bed woke her up so I fed her and put her right back down in between us and she slept until 4:30 and after another feeding again until 8:30. So 12.5 hours and only two wake ups. Our best night of sleep ever and the first good night in four months.
But she was in our bed. Even when she was in her dockatot, at least she was in her own space. Idk what to do. H is thrilled. He's been pushing for this for months. I don't really mind, but I was so proud telling everyone she was in her crib.

sophiegraceBut is she sleeping in her crib? What's sounds/feels worse to tell people... She wakes 8x/night or we cosleep? You could always do this for a little while to reset and then revisit the crib once you all have gotten more rest. Also, wahoooo for sleep! Hope your migraine is gone!

sophiegrace that's awesome! Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to all get some sleep. Not only did you need it but M clearly did.

hangry yesterday would have been a month in the crib and the longest stretch she had was less than two hours. She naps fine in there though so maybe KOKO with the naps and like you said try again in a bit when we aren't all running on empty? She's in such a great mood today. So happy and giggling. It makes me feel terrible about how tired she must have been for however long now.

sophiegrace you do what you need to stay happy and healthy! No judgement here. Eventually she will need to transition over but if you need to take a break and try again later then I say go for it.
