Thanks to the heads up in the other thread I scheduled my booster and flu shot. Shockingly my little town’s Walgreens is scheduling them already!

I'm still testing negative on rapids. If I continue to test negative, should I go ahead and get the booster next week? Or should I assume I had it and just never had a high enough viral load to be positive, waiting the 60 days?

I'm scheduled for the new COVID vaccine and a flu shot on Wednesday after school. Woohoo!

Thanks to the heads up in the other thread I scheduled my booster and flu shot. Shockingly my little town’s Walgreens is scheduling them already! I just did too. For the 15th. I would have done it next week but I have an allergy shot on Friday the 9th and they want decent time between that and any vaccines. But I’m excited! Except not excited for the side effects lol.

DH and I got our omicron boosters yesterday. Found one CVS about 30 mins away that already had them. Other than a sore arm and a bit tired I feel fine. (Back is stiff but probably from sleeping on one side due to sore arm). Glad to have it done.

H and I go on the 10th to get ours. I'll probably warn work that I will likely be out the next day, because every covid shot has put me out of commission for at least 36 hours. But working with the public, most of whom refuse masks, I'll suffer for a day to avoid the worse, longer possible outcome.

Are both Pfizer and Moderna available as far as the new boosters go? I thought I read somewhere a while ago that Pfizer would be ready in September and Moderna in October. I'd prefer the higher dose of Moderna.

I think I want Moderna but on Walgreens website it has me choose what I have previously and auto put me to receive Pfizer. So I'm wondering if I lie and say I had Moderna and leave MH card at home or...what. lol. I may wait for CVS to have some. I enjoyed getting my booster at the CVS pharmacy in Target and getting that $5 coupon.

Ok CVS has Moderna so I'll probably go with a CVS location.

Happy boostering, everyone! I told H he should go this weekend!!! And he was like dear, we still have to pack and move, you don’t want me out of commission. Oh, right. 😂 We’ll schedule it later.

My kids are still testing negative so I'm thinking just a cold. Apparently strep is going around too but I don't think it's that based on how quickly they got over it. My oldest still has the sniffles but otherwise feels fine. She also has allergies so who knows. I had a sore throat last night and feel a little sinusy today but never got a fever. I'll probably test later just to be sure.
I'm going to wait to book our boosters until we're all over this sickness.

Our Walgreens didn't have Moderna, but the CVS did so we scheduled there for the booster & flu on the 9th.

Well, I just tested positive, so I guess that answers my question. Only took 3 days of symptoms.

We scheduled boosters for this afternoon. The pharmacy where we could get in is around a half hour drive away, but I figure it's worth it.

Welp. Turns out the Rite-Aid we scheduled appointments with didn't actually have the omicron booster yet. Looks like we're going to have to try scheduling somewhere else. We will definitely be double checking they have the shots beforehand though, sigh.

I finally got covid after all this time and this fatigue is no joke. I’m almost a week out from the positive test and I can’t believe how exhausted I still am. I’ve never felt anything like this before. I know it’s different for everyone, but how soon did other people start feeling back to normal?

I am sorry athn64, and coffeecake. I was insanely tired for 3 days - like sleep 20+ hours a day - and more tired than normal for like 10 more days.

Ugh I’m sorry athn64 coffeecake. It sucks. I was wiped out for a good week. I was so grateful my job gave me a required 10 days off because on day 11 I was still not ready to go back. Alas….

Yeah, I’m supposed to go back to work Tuesday. And I’m thinking about working, getting the kids to activities, dinner, laundry, etc. Just normal everyday life and I’m really questioning how I’m going to do it if I still feel this way.

Not all day but I got randomly hit with the intense need to nap at random times. It sucks. I’m sorry.

For my husband, it was more like 10-14.
