These people literally cannot stop themselves from turning on each other. I feel like the WH has been imploding for six months straight.

Is Reince the one he made the comment about being like brothers? That feels like a billion years ago now, just trying to keep things straight.

Just in case Trumps bullying of Sessions made anyone feel bad for him (in general, not here), Sessions reminds us he's a complete shit gibbon.

DeVos is probably going to take a nod from her boss... "We've decided to stop enforcing IDEA. Children with disabilities pose a distraction to normal children and we can't afford the expense." If only I was completely joking. I thought the next pages would have an extensive discussion about this, but nothing?! Is this a new quote? I know she had discussed not enforcing IDEA in the past, but I hadn't realized there had been a decision about it. At least when I read your quote, I thought it was something she just announced yesterday, and that second sentence makes me want to cry. All the rest of the crap from yesterday makes me angry, but that makes me so sad. I get why there can be some problems with including children with disabilities in classrooms due to a lack of resources and teacher training on how to do it properly, but when it is done properly, it is not a distraction. It can be an incredibly enriching experience for everyone involved. The word "normal" here also really gets me.

I think Kitchen is probably being sarcastic here, but she wouldn't put it past Devos to do something like that.

And now he's calling out Reince on CNN. Where is that tweet about how "The WH is running perfectly"?

So I've always thought the idea that most anyone could be president was interesting. But it's a fucking shit show when you get someone in there with no political experience. It's painful to watch them not know shit that should be basic. I've heard several past and sitting presidents say that it really is all about your advisers. You have to surround yourself with excellent civil servants who know what they are doing in their specific area of duty. You also don't completely lack self control and tweet whatever pops into your brain when you have a little down time. Anyone can be president, but it is incumbent upon that person to take the job seriously and to treat the office with the respect it deserves--not to treat it as a vanity project and profit opportunity.

The thing is, an inexperienced President who isn't an ego maniac would have the sense to hire people with the experience he/she lacks and would follow past protocol unless there was a damn good reason not to do so. 45, not to much.

ok so bc of the Two-Hour Rule, Mr. Bowder will testify today before Senate Judiciary. I'll add today's live blogging to the existing FARA thread. Because it should be interesting.

I totally get that and that's kinda what i meant. I still think prior public service is a good idea. Yeah, I totally agree with you. It's why sane people start out as like, say, a state deleate, and move their way up.

So in the past week Scaramucci has thrown tantrums over two "leaks". One was something he told the press himself, the other was something that is publicly available.
Trump is probably eating this up.

A little context re: the military spending on Viagra:
Erectile dysfunction is a side effect of PTSD. Some estimates suggest that 85% of sufferers of PTSD also experience ED. So they aren't just passing out free Viagra all willy-nilly.
Just thought I would share that.
