A little context re: the military spending on Viagra: Erectile dysfunction is a side effect of PTSD. Some estimates suggest that 85% of sufferers of PTSD also experience ED. So they aren't just passing out free Viagra all willy-nilly. Just thought I would share that. This angers me more than spending on Viagra.

He seriously brought up Paterno? This is your dad's administration in action IVANKA. (Sorry, still fantasizing about this whole thing wrecking her 'I care about women and children' brand).

JFC Scaramucci is really charging in full steam ahead. By the time I get caught up with his latest shenanigans he's said 15 more crazy things.

Ah, so I see the new WH press sec has already been lauding people who covered up sexual abuse of children, accusing the chief of staff of treason, and comparing himself and the chief of staff to murderous Biblical brothers. It's not even 8 o'clock yet. Off to a great start. He's like a male Kellyanne, BSC.

Reine is the "typical" Republican with connections to Congress. Pushing him out in favor of this guy is not going to help the WH/Congress relationship. Which may actually be good, limit the damage they can cause.

DeVos is probably going to take a nod from her boss... "We've decided to stop enforcing IDEA. Children with disabilities pose a distraction to normal children and we can't afford the expense." If only I was completely joking. I thought the next pages would have an extensive discussion about this, but nothing?! Is this a new quote? I know she had discussed not enforcing IDEA in the past, but I hadn't realized there had been a decision about it. At least when I read your quote, I thought it was something she just announced yesterday, and that second sentence makes me want to cry. All the rest of the crap from yesterday makes me angry, but that makes me so sad. I get why there can be some problems with including children with disabilities in classrooms due to a lack of resources and teacher training on how to do it properly, but when it is done properly, it is not a distraction. It can be an incredibly enriching experience for everyone involved. The word "normal" here also really gets me. Cnon is correct that my post was sarcasm. That said, Sessions has direct quotes that almost say exactly what I wrote. The combo of him and her is so scary. She hasn't said anything as coherent as what I said re: IDEA because at least as of her confirmation hearing she didn't know what it was, just that it should be up to the states whether to have it. If any of them gave a crap about children with disabilities and inclusion, Medicaid cuts would be their first battle. Medicaid keeps children with disabilities in their homes with their families and funds services provided via IDEA in schools.

I generally turn the news off about 7 every night to unplug. I did last night, had lovely dreams about the Obamas and I didnt want to wake up. Reading everything and hearing mooch on cnn this morning, really did not start my day well and confirmed I should have stayed asleep. One should not wake up and the first thought be well are we at war with each other or another country.
So leaking Moos (thats what I'm calling him from now on) financials is a big deal because, he hasnt completed the divestiture of all his assets yet? It will eventually be public knowledge correct? And Moo and Preb are now engaged in a pissing contest? One in the open and the other sneaky?
Am I caught up?

That sarcasm flew right over my head - which is sad because it shouldn't be realistic to think that the SoE said something like that, but it totally is. I was thinking she gave a press conference yesterday and thought you were live blogging something she actually said. Carry on, carry on

At what point will any of his supporters be bothered by this stuff? JoPa not spilling things is really not an aspirational situation. Or, if it is, what in the fuck are you all hiding?

Wasn't this week supposed to have a theme? American heroes maybe? These people can't even stick to a weekly theme for a day.

I am guessing that in a Venn diagram of 45 supporters and those who think JoePa didn't know or cover anything up, there is a significant overlap. The amount of cognitive dissonance/delusional thinking required to fit in either circle is similar.

I think I'm back. We're settled in our temporary space, the rest of our belongings are safely stored. Or so the movers assure me.
I looked away for a minute, and suddenly there's all this news about a Scaramucci? "The Mooch"? I had to Google him. What a winner.
