Lord Scaramucci is a fame whore. I've seen/heard more from that guy than I have from anyone else in the administration in the past five days. He is annoying the shit out of me. And Bohemian Rhapsody has been in my head all week. SERIOUSLY. It's out of hand.

::snort:: Peter Alexander is quick on his feet. Minutes after the GENEROUS $100k gift to Secretary DeVos for her department, Mr. Alexander asked Sarah why a president, who is clearly so concerned about education, was proposing $9b in spending cuts to DoE. I missed that in my first viewing of the briefing.

DD and I were reading the She Persisted book and she wanted to see pictures of the women IRL. This has led to us watching Oprah gifs together.

I had to read this 5x to understand it. I'm still not sure I do. I'm not sure whether you were being TIC or not but just in case, he's saying that Senate Judiciary's calendar is already set for the year and they don't have time to hold confirmation hearings for another Attorney General nominee. In other words: Don't fire Sessions, you moron.

'Everybody in DC should be warned that the agenda for the Senate Judiciary Committee is set for the rest of 2017. Judges (confirmation hearings) first priority, Subcabinet (/undersecretary confirmation hearings) second priority. AG " no way" (No time for confirming a new Attorney General)

At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, I'm reading the letter SHS read today, and I don't think its real.

She really is. I know a lot of people wanted to give her credit for being pro-choice. Just because she is right on one thing does not make her a good person.

I feel like most nine year olds know how to spell "are" and "house."
I don't want to be mean if the kid really doesn't, but it just feels...off.

It's like a ransom note a rich person would use to fake their own kidnapping and death to escape owing millions in back taxes.

So I have 0 kids, so maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about. And maybe I'm a terrible person. But: 1) why is the date written by someone else? 2) to me, this reads much younger than 9. I give a pass on the penmanship, but the spelling and word choices seem younger. 3) As Twitter noted, no creases, so this wasn't mailed in a standard envelope.

NPR fans, I meant to mention, 1A is having a conversation tomorrow about changing one's mind on major issues. I think it will be a great show and I look forward to listening. It's on at 10 here in DC on NPR, but you can find it on your local NPR or listen here at www.the1a.org. And I am beyond exhausted so I;m calling it a night. Sweet dreams politics thread!

Plus there aren't crease marks. So he either wrote on a tour and hand delivered it or mailed in a 9x12 envelope

I give a pass on the penmanship, but the spelling and word choices seem younger. 3) As Twitter noted, no creases, so this wasn't mailed in a standard envelope. I only have three kids and a background in early childhood education, plus several years' experience teaching prek-kindergarten-first grade, so obviously you should ignore my opinion, but this reads more like what a 6 or 7 year old would write. My oldest wouldn't have made those types of spelling errors in first grade, much less 4th. HOWEVER, not all children have the same areas of academic strength and not all educational systems are the same so it could simply be that this is an impressively engaged 9 year old who happens to not excel in spelling. And I would never criticize a kid for his spelling errors. I just mean that I can understand why someone might question the validity of this particular letter.

The fact the kid can't write "my name IS dylan" but he can launch into "but everybody calls me pickle" is suspect in my book.
