I'm so done with work. I have very little patience for anything anymore and I'm so ready to check out. Thank God I've only got one more week!
Also, these contractions are getting pretty annoying. I'm not ready for baby to come yet and every one I get, freaks me out and makes me feel like labor is going to start any minute.

I'm so ready to be done with this. I feel like a beached whale. Sitting hurts because baby is low enough to be grinding into my pelvis. Oh and my midwife whom I have been working with for 3 years through 7 losses, and the reason my husband used to guilt me into stopping my talk about moving to Hawai'i? Yeah she is going to be on vacation right around the time that I am due. Lucky me.

I'm ready to be done work too. I'm so exhausted and sore by the time I get home. And I have a desk job! I can't even imagine having to be on my feet all day.

I'm so over work, too. I'm so sick of the politics and middle school BS that happens in nursing. I don't mind tough assignments but it's an unspoken rule that you don't give a 35+ w pregnant nurse a nonstop assignment every night. It's just frustrating when you see them play favorites so blatantly.
Sigh. Oh well.

After 30 weeks we always covered for the pregnant ones among us! We never asked them to lift anything, and would always make sure that there was someone available to help them if they needed. Even on nights when we were perpetually understaffed.

I had almost two hours of timeable contractions on Wednesday night and was freaking out. I just want her to stay put one more week for her own benefit but I'm going to need a lot of grace to make it through until she's born.

Sorry for being a debby downer but I am at my wits end atm.... just so overwhelmed, miserable and done with everything right now. Wish i could just sleep the next wks.
The weather here is so hot and muggy and I just can't breath. Even inside the house it is starting to warm up since it s been so hot so long now. I long for being somewhere with air conditioning.... can I camp out at the grocery store? I honestly don't know how to do this for 4 maybe even 6 more weeks of she decides to go over my due date (lol auto correct keeps changing due date in die days!).
I also feel like we will never get the nursery done. MH has to work an extra shift tomorrow so there goes another full weekend we can't use to make progress. Plus i just feel like crap with the heat and my ticker acting up so am useless. And w have no one who can help out.. friend are on holiday and my family all are stuck as will atm (see next bit). There is crap scattered all over the bedrooms the bathroom and downstairs and i just want, i need some sense of a normal and clutter free house back but it seems impossible. It is driving me insane and making me depressed as F.
To top things off my mum has been admitted to the hospital with heart issues while on vacation in Switzerland with my sister late Friday. Yesterdsy she was transferred to a larger hospital for further testing etc. Her coronary catheterization seems to rule out a heart infarct - they are currently thinking coronary spasms / prinzmetal angina pectoris. My dad will prolly make his way there Far later this weekend and will stay with her till she is discharged. I absolutely hate being so far away and not able to travel to her. My sister and her kids will likely travel home as planned on Sunday - hospitals are no place for 2 and 4 year olds.
Meh 😪😢😭

muscari Sending you hugs, that sounds like a lot to deal with. I hope your mom is on the mend soon and can be discharged. I can understand being overwhelmed on the baby front and not having people to help. I try to remind myself that babies actually need very little in the beginning. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

muscari hugs love! I'm sorry for all the stress and worry with your mum. Do you have an air conditioned library or book store/coffee shop you could go hang out at. Or hang at the grocery store. Just walk really slowly through every aisle. Your pregnant and it's hot. I hope the heat breaks soon for you. I also get you on the clutter. Our house is like that right now because we still haven't gotten an electrician in. I think H has given up and is going to run new wiring himself. I hope. Because for my own sanity I need to set the darn room up. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

happyfeet9, elliecat17, thanks for the hugs loves. After posting my previous post I had a bit of a cry which relieved some of the bottled up emotions heh. Joy, hormones and all!! Still waiting on an update from my sis/dad but my sister did send me a pic of them visiting mum and her youngest was sitting on the bed with her ♥ and just seeing mum made me feel slightly better (though also sorta shocked going by the endless tubes and IVs and what not - but then again not surprised cause well, been there done that. Tis just different when it's not you yourself or patients you work with but your mum I guess!?).

Oh and reading about y'alls BH/contractions starting to become painful makes me wonder whether babygirl is making herself way to comfortable and has no plans to come out around my due date but will be way late! I started having some painful BH last week for a couple days but they've gone away and now I'm just having normal BH again. Babygirl seems to be quite happy in there and has been making cute moves which does make me feel good (unless she hits piched nerves LOL) and relieved BUT now I worry she'll be late. I can't do this till the end of August no more LOL!

I'm so sorry to everyone feeling so stressed ☹️ I go back and forth on feeling overwhelmed about the mess and then too tired to care! And the heat- ugh. I wish I could spend time outside because of the limited amount of warm weather we get here but I just can't. It's too humid and hot. muscari I'm sorry your mom's health is giving you extra worry right now I'm glad the picture helped a little, minus the visual image of ivs, wires, etc. could you go see a movie? They always blast the AC in theaters here.. that'll be a couple of distracting hours? Yeah, my plan is to work until I go into labor / one week past my due date because if I stop working earlier I have to use my benefit time (sick/vacation hours) and when I run out of it, I have to go back to work because we can't afford for me to not get paid, so I am trying to save as much as I can to spend time with him. As it stands, I might have to go back to work the week before Christmas and that makes me really, really sad. I was hoping to have enough time saved to be off until Jan 2. Oh well. I know I get more time than most, so I will just have to suck it up.

muscari, ((hugs)) I'm so sorry for all you are dealing with. Im sure you must be so worried/stressed for your mom. And I know that stressful feeling thinking you'll never get things done for baby, but I promise you will. Just remember, baby doesn't need much the first month or so. All the nursery setup, etc. is more for us. So even if it's not all totally done before she is born it will be ok. Deep breaths. Plus, we had nothing done and in one weekend we got it almost all done, so it doesn't take as long as you think it will. Hang in there. ETA: I haven't had any real BH contractions for weeks. My doc promises that doesn't mean anything as far as when baby will come...

I got my breast pump today. Such a weird thing to be excited about but I am excited! I was wondering, are you supposed to bring your own pump to the hospital or do they give you one there if you need one? Any of you stm's know about this?

If you need one, most hospitals have hospital grade pumps to use. Make sure you ask about any goodies they have - many places will give you mini bottles of lanolin, nursing pads, etc.

GDI, add me to the much more frequent and painful BH. I'm convinced I'm going into labor daily. Also hemorrhoids have come out of nowhere this past couple weeks so now I'm terrified about how painful they will be with labor now 😥
Does preparation H actually work?!
Also anyone else literally feel like you could pee every 10 mins and then go and barely anything comes out? Lol

muscari, I'm sorry about your mum, I hope she is ok and can't imagine how stressful that must be☹️ I hear you on the heat, it's killing me. We just were down the beach these past 2 days and I'm so damn hot, im back home and sitting in front of the AC so I can't imagine not having it. I hope you can at least cool off in the shower or something

muscari I'm so sorry about your mom. I hope things turn around for the better soon. jt2378 the frequency of bathroom breaks is unbelievable! I'm up at least 4-5 a night and trying not to drink anything after 7 with the hopes of it helping, but I honestly don't think it'll make a difference. Hubby and I went for a couples massage this morning and it was amazing! I highly recommend getting one if you can swing it. These next 3 weeks need to fly by. I'm so done being pregnant. This kid is constantly kicking my ribs and stretching out. I don't remember being this uncomfortable with my daughter. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

*warning skip if having a bad day*
I just found out that one of the nurses at the hospital where I did my clinicals who was due the same day as me died suddenly yesterday. I haven't learned what happened or what happened to the baby, but it's really freaking me out.

Oh elliecat17 how tragic! I can imagine it's freaking you out and it even does me some too even though I don't even know her. I can't help but hope that they somehow were able to safe the baby.. can't imagine what it must be like for her partner to loose both at the same time. Take care of yourself lady! ♥

AFM, not having a great day so far and it's not even 10am yet lol. I hardly slept a wink last night, my head too full with worries and scares and what not. MH is working today so I got up early as well as I had been awake for hours already anyway. After he left had a good cry over nothing (or over everything probably more like it). Trying to make the day better with baking crepes for breakfast and they were nommie. Now gonne work on our birthplan.. We are supposed to discuss this with the MFM on Tuesday but they f*cked up MHs work schedule so he can't come to the appointment, so instead I asked my mum but now she is in the hospital herself and not even in the country.. neither are my dad or my sister and I'm just at a loss a) how to get there since I still don't drive myself due to my ankle and b) I hate having to go to this appointment on my own. I told MH his work better not f*ck up the other appointment days cause he IS coming along to discuss the last details of giving birth before I go into labor! lol

Also, yup I'm with y'all when it comes to having to pee constantly and feeling like it's going to be a huge pee but then tis just a trickle! So weird. I guess our babies are slowly making their way down pushing on our blatter and all! I have to admit my reflux and heartburn is sliiiightly less awful then it has been, which is nice.

+1 to the thinking I'm going to pee a gallon and end up with a trickle. I just started ignoring it for awhile but then I get paranoid and go pee... and barely anything. 🙄 But agreed muscari - my heartburn is way less so then I'm like woo!! elliecat17 oh I'm so sorry- that's so sad and scary. Tonight at work both kids I'm taking care of are 6.5 lbs and I'm just like OMG THIS IS HOW MUCH MY BABY WEIGHS RIGHT NOW TOOOOO 😱😱😱
