I really dislike how they make Ron the comic foil here and make him seem like a complete idiot. And they get rid of one of Hermione's early flaws. That she can't think calmly under pressure.

I can't remember if that was ever really explained. I had already quit Pottermore before all the articles and stuff started showing up there. ETA: A quick internet search says it has to do with losing his soul. |

I'm assuming it was because he was fed by a potion with Nagini's venom prior to that potion. It's how he got all his snake like abilities. But I also don't remember the full description of Voldemort in Quirrell's head either. Maybe he didn't have a full nose then, but it didn't translate to the movie. |

Right? I'm not sure how it makes sense, but there are quite a few things in HP that if you think about it too deeply, don't make any kind of sense, even by fantasy standards. I guess we can just shrug and say magic.
