Harry Potter (Gryffindor) and LOTR. I saw The Two Towers and Return of the King 7 times each in the theater. We watched the movies so much in high school that I had them memorized. I haven't watched them since because I want it to be glorious when I finally see them again. Same with the book. My goal one day is to watch all three movies back to back in one sitting. I'll never forget the first time I read it in highschool (before Return of the King came out, so I didn't know the ending) I got to the scene in Shelob's lair where Sam thinks Frodo is dead and I was straight up crying in Spanish class (albeit quietly). Bahaha.
Also, my cat is named Smeagol.
ETA: I also have read and watched a bunch of things y'all have listed, but it's 4:30am so my brain is sleeping even though I'm not.

otters The Silmarillion took me forever to read but it had so much good information on the origins for stuff in LOTR.

Hi! Hope I can play here!
My Things are Buffy/Angel, Sherlock, Harry Potter (Ravenclaw), DC comics (the flash was my favorite before it was cool to like the flash), Doctor Who until Peter capaldi ruined it and I can't watch it anymore, Outlander, Eragon, and GoT (but not the show).
The only game my computer can just barely handle is the Sims 3 and Sims Medieval. I almost have that damn medieval game beat. I'd installed the starter WoW pack just before I graduated college and just never got back into it and never had the money to invest in better computer parts anyway.

Harry Potter and Doctor Who geek over here! Has anyone else been watching the Series 10 episodes? Yes. I feel like Capaldi is actually the Doctor this season.

Oh my things... Huge huge LoTR fan. I grew up with the books being read to me. I'm a big 80's fantasy fan. So labyrinth, the dark Crystal, the last unicorn, legend, the neverending story, and the Rankin and Bass versions of The Hobbit and Return of the King are some of my first loves. Star Wars, definitely. I grew up with trekkie parents so some of that is ingrained. I love Harry Potter, but quizzes never agree on where to sort me. Usually slytherin. I'm a big Firefly fan as Well! I grew up playing d&d with my family. Played WoW for quite a few years. I still miss it. And comic book movies make me happy, even the not so good ones. I'm also a fan of high fantasy fiction. Give me dragons. Give me magic. And give me a hint of romance and I'm happy. (Some of my favorite books are actually the d&d based fiction series, like Dragonlance.) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk Did you read the Deborah Harkness All Souls trilogy?

My goal one day is to watch all three movies back to back in one sitting. When RotK came out, one of our local theaters did a marathon with the extended editions of the first two movies leading up to the midnight screening of RotK. It was epic

pianolove have you tried the Sims 4? One of my favorite pastimes is to create Sims (in both 3 and 4) of my favorite characters and make them as exact as possible. I literally have spent hours on it--haven't had a lot of time recently with my kids being who they are lol but yeah that was my life

I played the Sims 2 for so long. I skipped Sims 3 but got Sims 4 and haven't really had time to play it. I did find out that, if you have your old Sims 2 discs, you can call EA's help desk and they will give you the complete collection of Sims 2 packs for your Origin account. I got more excited about that than is probably appropriate.

I loooove building houses and decorating them, it used to take me a week to build a house! Didn't think to make characters though, that sounds fun!

Yea! I read it online when I was trying to figure out if you could get the old Sims 2 to play anywhere so I tried it myself and it worked. You tell them that you heard if you had your old serial number, you could get the Ultimate Collection (I think? It might be called something different). They ask for your serial number and, if it hasn't already been claimed (which obviously it shouldn't have been) they give you the complete collection free on your Origin account. All the expansions and stuff packs. Like I said, I was pretty ecstatic.

Some of my things, but I really love all things nerdy:
Harry Potter- have a couple HP tattoos, HP wedding, honeymooned at WWHP, twins have a HP nursery, and we collect the wands. Ravenclaw here!
Supernatural, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Firefly, Disney, Superheroes (preference to Marvel but we watch a lot of Batman and Justice league, even went and saw a special screening of the Killing Joke with Mark Hamill), LOTR, Narnia, love to read when I have the time.
I used to play WoW but haven't had the time in years, but my husband and I will co-op games (I liked Borderlands and Diablo) and I am usually our sniper. I really like playing board games even though my husband thinks I cheat because I always win.

Also, I am totally obsessed with outer space things. The gas giants fascinate me. Also, there is a solar eclipse coming up in August that I have been anticipating for literal years, and I am so pumped about it YES!!! Are you somewhere that you'll get a good show? Are you traveling for it? I'm so excited.

Yay for this! I'm Gryffindor (probably my ESTJ), Camp Halfblood (daughter of Poseidon), Legos (see avatar, used to be lego mermaid), Disney, Marvel, DC, currently loving Lady Mechanika, Nintendo Animal Crossing, Doctor Who! I like Capaldi! I didn't like Matt Smith (he was missing eye brows) but I think going from Matt to Peter was just harsh. I didn't think they gave him a great storyline for his personality. Now that Clara is gone, and he has his own companion, it feels more natural but of course he's leaving now!

Harry Potter and Doctor Who geek over here! Has anyone else been watching the Series 10 episodes? Me! Though I'm one or two behind. Just watched Oxygen and it gave me the heebie jeebies. I have an outer space phobia. I'm...not loving this season. I like Bill a lot better than Clara, but I'm not loving the episodes conceptually.

So labyrinth, the dark Crystal, the last unicorn, legend, the neverending story Yes! You're only missing Willow and Time Bandits here....and Baron von Munchausen (but I always sit alone in the corner with this one) Flight of the Dragons anyone?

My main fandoms right now are Doctor Who and Game of Thrones (both show and the books).
I also love: Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel movies, Dragon Age, Skyrim, Mercedes Lackey, Garth Nix, Guy Gavriel Kay, Neil Gaiman, Harry Potter (Griffinpuff? Huffleclaw?), LOTR, Firefly, Supernatural (up until...2 or 3 seasons ago? I dunno, the Crowley's mom season), Vikings
I'm sure I'm forgetting some but I think I hit the main ones

The (physical) customization is the shit because you can pull the body shape however you want it to be. But then, it doesn't have as many default options with clothes and you are limited in color choices. This is why I've downloaded a billion mods. Lol. My LEAST favorite part of it though is that you can only choose 3 personality traits as opposed to the 5 you used to be able to do with Sims3. Totally not fair lol. Another thing it is that the world is kind of sectioned into parts. So you can't really explore as much as before. I used to be such a hater but I have come to like it a lot now. Also it doesn't take a million hours to load it so that's a plus lol. I used to have to wait for fucking ever to load sims3.

I always download custom content for clothes, hair, and makeup anyway so that part doesn't bother me but a smaller "world" would. And not waiting for it to load for years would definitely be a plus! Guess I know what's going on my Christmas list

cosmic And now they have toddlers so that's more realistic! I honestly didn't want to invest much time in it until they added toddlers because I felt it took me out the world to skip such an important life stage.
