Hey, I may hop in on occasion if that's ok. I nerd out hard to a ton of things: HP, LotR, Narnia, Mercedes Lackey, Tamora Pierce, Whedon, Firefly, Dollhouse, Dungeons and Dragons (Or more specifically Pathfinder)...
There's more but that's what's at the forefront.

YESSSS to HP (Gryffindor), anything Joss Whedon, WoW, lots of video games, and if it's possible to nerd out to Grey's - I do that too.

I started with Song of the Lioness, so that has a special place in my heart, but I think overall I love the development of the later Circle books, especially Will of the Empress. Are you in her fan FB group? I love that she comes and share stuff with us there sometimes.

I love the Song of the Lioness and Beka Cooper but my favorite is Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen though that seems to be a UO.

I'm mostly a sham lately, but I'm into Star Trek, board games, MTG when I'm in the mood, pretty much anything Whedon, Pokemons, Katamari, Pathfinder, cosplay (though I haven't had a reason or the means since we moved and I had to get rid of all my stuff), anime, ...

I also geek out to a lot of things: I guess the big ones are: Anime (plus some other international animation...love the stuff from Cartoon Saloon), EverQuest2, LOTR, HP (Ravenclaw), Star Wars (movies, series, books), Babylon 5, Pokemon Go On the more "professional" geek side: Website design/programming (particularly with Drupal and the good ol' LAMP stack...this used to be part of my RL job before I became a SAHM), I also help run a mid-size anime convention and a small sci-fi convention (both volunteer) I also can be a bit of a Disney geek at times but I don't know if that counts

Did someone say Tamora Pierce? I love her. The Lioness Quartet had such an impact on me as a young teen that I brought them to college with me.

I don't watch it as much anymore because DH isn't super interested and I have other things to take up my time, but I am super excited Gunslinger Girl is on Netflix with subtitles. I've started it over. I'm so out of the loop though.

FullMetal Alchemist is probably one of my favorite anime. I loved Steins;Gate as well. Movie-wise, pretty much anything by Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Nausicaa, Totoro, etc.) and Mamoru Hosoda (Wolf Children, Summer Wars, Boy and the Beast). I love that DD already enjoys Totoro and Ponyo. I'm big on the sci-fi/fantasy genre (just like my movies and books, lol), but I've seen and enjoyed a lot of stuff.

For Mother's Day, DH got me a crossstich pic of Calcifer that says "May all your bacon burn". It is now proudly hanging in my kitchen.

I grew up on Star Wars, Star Trek, and Indiana Jones (thanks nerdy Dad!). Added Harry Potter and LotR in middle/high school. I was really into manga then too, Ranma 1/2 and Sailor Moon were my gateway comics. Favorite authors: Tamora Pierce and Gareth Nix. Played Pokémon on my pocket game boy and still find Pokémon Go kind of fun when I'm out walking with the kids. I feel like I never have time for tv anymore but I try to keep up with Dr. Who, Archer, and Bob's Burgers. I'm a season or two behind in Sherlock and Longmire.

Big Star Wars fan here!! Also HP, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, and Pixar stuff. My husband is big into Marvel stuff so we watch all the Marvel movies. And just movies in general, we actually met when we were working at a movie theater and we have a massive movie collection.

My husband has got me big into Marvel, although the men of Marvel is really where I get serious. I also love me some HP and Disney stuff. Basically Disney and Marvel can have all my money. DH has also gotten me into LOTR/The Hobbit, but I am strictly into the movies. Honestly, the books aren't even on my to-read list whatsoever. DH is also a super Nintendo nerd, so he has gotten me on that path as well. Basically everything comes down to him other than Disney/HP, but I love them all.

Our main fandom is anime (if you couldn't guess from my avatar). DH runs a local anime group and used to be the MC for an anime costume contest at Megacon for like 17 years or something. chad my favorite anime franchise (currently) is Accel World, probably mostly because I'm married to the living breathing version of Haruyuki. (ETA: Also love Puella Magi Madoka Magica! How did I forget to mention that!) DH's favorite is Video Girl AI and DaiconIV. He's got the bunny girl fron DaiconIV tattooed on his shoulder. Harry Potter is also a big one for us. We got engaged at Universal at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It's a long story, but the short version is that ultimately we wound up in Hogwarts, DH got down on a knee to propose standing in front of a holographic Dumbledore and cried so hard I didn't know he was proposing (even though I knew he took me there TO propose). I like Star Trek more than Star Wars, but I do like both of them. I play Magic the Gathering. Used to play Dungeons and Dragons (DH still does) I love superheroes but have no preference between DC and Marvel. Funny story: a woman was flirting with DH in a store a couple weeks ago, she saw he had an Avengers wallet and showed off her Wonder Woman earrings and said "See we both like Marvel!" He was like...okay that's great, I'm gonna go home to my wife who knows the difference between DC and Marvel. LOL I like Dr. Who but wouldn't consider it a huge fandom. I think I'm a rarity in that Christopher Eccleston (the 9th doctor) was my favorite. I also really like video games. Final Fantasy and Katamari Damacy are a couple of my all time favorites.
