Happy (lol, no) Monday!
Today has been a day. So much going on!! I will concentrate on the good though.
2 days in a row of a good workout. 30 minute intervals and arms with Sam from today (so hard) 10 minute back and chest with Selena (beyond hard)
I enjoyed them both and would recommend.
This doesn't belong in the motivation thread but whatever. I hang out here the most so I'm going to brag on DD for a minute. She has been playing tennis for a few years now but really got serious about it last spring. She was placed in the advanced group this fall and was just asked to join a team that will play actual games this fall. Her good friend was asked to join, too. So proud of them! They've worked really hard and it's nice to see that recognized. The best part is it was based more on their attitude. Love it. DD has had a very strange day so I'm excited to tell her this when she gets home.

Evidently the latest Peloton Android app update has some lines of text embedded in the code that are laying the groundwork for rower workouts. For those of you who had Peloton rower on your bingo card (or wishlist). You can also now pre-qualify for an Affirm loan for the Tread on the website, so it looks like they are getting ready to start selling and shipping those soon. Still no word on Tread+. Theclipout mentioned the 24th for possible tread sales to restart and they're generally pretty in the know. That would be nice! Rowers are also a nice addition, but my hope is they will have a new onslaught of coaches for that. They really cannot spread some of their current coaches much thinner at this point.

Really, really hoping the rower rumors come true and soon. I was gifted my rower last Christmas and have yet to use it. 😬 Peloton has spoiled me and any rower classes I look at elsewhere just seem so boring by comparison.

Really, really hoping the rower rumors come true and soon. I was gifted my rower last Christmas and have yet to use it. 😬 Peloton has spoiled me and any rower classes I look at elsewhere just seem so boring by comparison. I'm still desperately waiting for my pause button that I was told was actually coming and has yet to drop. *grumblegrumble*

Good afternoon! Yesterday I went to the running store and picked up a pair of Sauconys that felt good. I can still feel the irritation in that area but I've been aggressively icing and keeping it up. I mentioned before it doesn't hurt to walk at all. Tomorrow I'm going to try to go for an easy run and see how it feels.

I meal-prepped my favorite salad yesterday. I just cut/wash the kale and make the quinoa and add the rest of the ingredients when I make the salad for lunch. It's so good!
Kale (one container) Quinoa (another container) Olives Cucumbers Feta Toasted almonds Squeeze of lemon, olive oil, salt and pepper

Hi all!
I took the last 3 days off (Fri/Sat/Sun) off after my 5k+ on Thursday, plus I had GI issues on Friday and Saturday.
I started the Road to Your 5K program today (6 week program). I had done a previous iteration of it in early 2020 but they've added some new classes (newer than the ones I did last year, I mean).
Today's session was 30 min 5K Race Prep with Becs. I got in just a smidge over 2 miles. So grateful for our tread as it's yet another week of 90+ temps.
I added on a 20 min Barre class that was mostly lower-body with Hannah C. Everything was shaking, which is the point, right?
I did a 5-min post-run stretch with Chase as well.

Evening!
This week is a bodyweight week on the HCOTF calendar, so I switched things up a bit. 20 min advanced glutes/legs with Robin, 10 min Barre with Hannah, 10 min core with Olivia, and a 20 min Classic Rock ride with Jess King (loved the playlist on this!)
B - English muffin w/ PB, turkey bacon, fruit L - half a beef gyro leftover from last night and a little bit of pasta salad, apple D - Skinnytaste cheesy sausage and peppers + roasted potatoes S - probably buffalo flavored pretzel thins and laughing cow cheese

30 minute Latin run with Chase this morning. I took the kids to the playground again and ran the parking lot. It was hot and I didn't drink anything beforehand so it was rough. My legs did not want to move. Next time I will make sure to drink more before I do another outdoor run like that.

Got good workouts in all weekend and signed up for a 5k in October. Feeing more and more like myself every day. Nice to find a routine i think I can maintain with my full time single mom life.

I'm trying to find my routine again. I feel like it's been so long but it's only really been 2 weeks. This morning I completed Bec's 20 min classical run. The music was beautiful!
Food: Protein shake Greek yogurt with granola Lunch tbd - probably a salad or deli sub nectarine Red Robin for DS birthday celebration with the family.

I did Cody’s Disney ride yesterday, which was really fun. This morning I got up early and ran 3 miles. It was a bit of a struggle, but I’m glad I got it done!

I did a 5:30 PM CF class yesterday, then turned around and was back there this morning at 6. I hate having to do that, but that's the only way I was getting in workouts for the last two days. Needless to say, I was pretty dead this morning. It definitely ended up being one of those "I showed up so I can check the box" days.
Food has been pretty good lately. I'm not tracking or anything, but I'm trying to keep my portions in check and my weight is down a few pounds. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up the trend since things are suddenly stressful around here. The kids are back to school, between the two of them they have sports practices or games every day of the week, I took a new role at work, our kitchen reno starts in a couple of weeks and I still haven't even finalized the design or components, and my parents appear to be having a mid-life crisis. It's a lot and I would like to drown it in beer and pizza please.

Got in Robin's most recent 45 minute hip hop ride. I'll get in a 5 minute core and a 20 minute yoga tonight.
Trying to get my food back on track today. I'm taking the kids to a play cafe in a bit so I need to avoid the pizza that I plan to order them for lunch. We had pizza last night and there are still left overs too.
I need to grocery shop today and my house needs a serious cleaning.

Just saw that the official date for the regular tread purchase is 8/30! Yay! Hopefully now we'll hear about the Tread+ sometime soon. I'm not sure H will go for the regular Tread, he felt his stride was too long for how short the deck is.

20 minute yoga flow this morning, and will bike to pick up DD this afternoon, maybe a walk, too.
Yesterday, H was having a tough work day, so wanted the break to go do pickup, but we walked 1.5 miles, and both kids came home HUNGRY and ate the whole dinner I made (ravioli lasagna aka pizza noodles) even though it's something that they only like sometimes, so that's a big win for me!

Squats were a little off last night. My hip was hurting me the night before so not surprising. Bench went well once I got warmed up and my hip stopped being dumb.
Also wooshes are nice and also stupid. You could have gone down in a reasonable manner body.

Not loving the peloton like I thought I might. Idk. So back to the gym this am for 50 minutes of stair stepper, row, and a spin on their crappy bike. + abs. Tuesday DONE! B- was 1 egg bite I found hidden in our freezer. L- panzanella salad with lots of fresh basil D-- going out with some friends. Will try to limit myself to 3 cocktails (being realistic.) S- rice cakes with hummus and cucumbers. I am such a broken record.
