I'm also here. The bike content is great! There is a ton to pick from all the time and I usually struggle on what to settle on. The running content is severely lacking though. There are days where only one or two new runs are added and they're 20 minute runs. If you go way back they had Matty, Selena, Becs, Wilpers, and Jess Sims for running and they all did 45 and 60 minute classes on the regular. Now we're lucky if one 45 minute class comes out per week and there's only ever one 60 minute class every few weeks. And they've added running instructors! Honestly, they need a few more running instructors and they need to beef up their running schedule. We do plan to upgrade to a peloton tread at some point and I'm going to be crabby if I spend that kind of money to only be given a single 20 minute HIIT run on any given day. I feel the same way about the outdoor content. There's just.....not a lot of recent ones to chose from. There's only 2-3 added per week, so if I'm not into a power walk or an intervals run (which are the two added this week) then I'm either out of luck or scrolling waaaaaayyyyyy back to find something else. There's zero reason they can't put out more outdoor content. I know the instructors insist they're running too, and Jess Sims said in an interview that they do them on the tread, but let's be real, we don't know if that's really true and they definitely can do them sitting in a recording studio. I don't do a ton of the outdoor content but I always find it lacking when I do want to do one.

I don’t get upset, but I do feel like Peloton is lacking in quality runs, so when someone like Matt doesn’t have a class for a while I get a bit annoyed because that means I end up repeating other classes. I am warming up to some of the other instructors, but I feel like it’s not the same for what I’m looking for. However- I don’t own a Peloton tread and I don’t plan on ever getting one, so I’m definitely not their target customer there and have no real room to complain. I do feel like there is tons of content on the bike and I’ve never had the same problem- I only repeat classes that were super fun and because I want to do them again, not because of a lack of a certain type of workout/instructor. Yeah, I agree with this. I’m not going to complain when an instructor takes a week or two for vacation or recovery or whatever. But when Jess Sims was gone for months without explanation, yeah, I was sad because there is no substitute for her tread boot camps IMO. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with expressing that you miss an instructor. 🤷🏼♀️ Was that when she ended a class abruptly, came back, and was gone again because she said on her IG that she needed to listen to her body? It seems like they generally make their own announcements if they are off or whatever.
Peloton really needs to have more than one instructor doing these classes.
I also don't think anyone here is crazy for missing their fav instructors; it's the unreasonable people in the online groups who think they are owed every little detail.

Yeah, you have a point about the tread content. I guess I do more bike workouts, so I don't notice it as much, but I wonder if part of that is due to the recall?
I don't think. The schedule wasn't anymore plush pre recall. I don’t think so either. Honestly, at the beginning of the pandemic I was thisclose to ordering the OG tread, but decided to give it a few more weeks of using the content on my own before getting it (like, I was on the phone with the sales associate asking a million questions, fully intending to get it then and there and then something the associate said about using it without their content gave me pause). I realized that I’d be better off getting a woodway if I wanted the slats, because it would be a lot more versatile for what I would be using it for.

At quick glance;
Today 4 live rides, zero live runs Tomorrow 6 live rides, one live run (60 minutes, the only one that long on the schedule as far out as it goes)
And that's not a far cry from the rest of it if you keep looking comparing the two. It's such a bummer.

That actually happened right after she came back. I thought she handled that well and I totally respected her for not continuing the class. But before that, she had been off for a really long time (I think it was like 2 months?) and there were several other tread instructors gone at the same time so there was a real lack of tread content for awhile.

Yep there was a post and also some stories about her outfits and other random details. I mean I can admit that I posted a couple times on the day after I got my professional photos back which was 4 or 5 weeks later....but that's it. Two posts with photo dumps. Not weeks of stories and photos of her ENTIRE WEEK OF WEDDING EVENTS. It is so attention seeking to me, for someone who claimed to want a "small wedding". Anyway. it's her page and she can post what she wants and I can unfollow if I want. And yet I don't. So really it is on me to stop my own annoyance, lol.

Re: peloton tread content: I looked at a tread a couple of years ago and they only had a few live classes a day, so even pre pandemic they had limited tread content.

Just got caught up (again) Rest day today and am having the post-vacation blahs. It didn’t help that I got on the scale this morning, which, “Why, self?” I ate as I pleased on vacation and it shows but 🤷♀️. I did workout yesterday and finished the You Can Run program. The final session was 45 minutes with Becs and I did 3.2 miles, which was fine since the first 12 minutes were warm up drills with little forward movement. I’ll definitely miss running by the lake. I did a 5-min post-run stretch with Olivia. I’m thinking about starting the Road to 5k program on either Sunday or Tuesday.

Ooof it’s been a day. We’re all still sick, my kids boycotted sleep last night and I’ve spent waaaaay too much time arguing with a tenant. Have I mentioned I HATE being a landlord? Anyway, I got leg day done: - 10 minute core with Matty - 20 minute leg/glutes with Rad - 10 minute barre with Hannah - 20 minute Disney ride with Cody
I’m going to be opening a pumpkin beer (I know, I know, it’s august) shortly

Amazing. I actually agree with his assessment of Eric v. Aladdin. However, I was very upset with his statement that Hercules was the last great animated Disney movie. Moana is one of the greatest Disney movies of all time and I’ll fight anyone on that lol.

Did 20 minutes on a weird elliptical. It wasn’t my normal one. Did arms on the weight lifting circuit today.
B-greek yogurt and oatmeal bar L- cottage cheese with agave, shredded coconut and walnuts. S- banana D- will be halibut and brown rice.
Question- for those that workout regularly, are you constantly walking around with sore muscles or does that go away? Signed, jelly arms.

Still trying to get back into the swing of things. I am feeling pretty down about myself with the number on the scale and the weight gain in my face and around my midsection. I'm feeling hopeful that, when H comes home this weekend, I can get into a better routine with more consistent workouts. Food this week has been pretty good; except I go off the rails in the evenings when I take CBD or other edibles to wind down.
Went on a walk over lunch today.
B: Coffee w oat milk; scrambled eggs, salami, and canteloupe L: Salad greens with beets, quinoa, ground turkey, cucumber, and goddess dressing D: Baked potato with greek yogurt, veg, and rotisserie chicken

Unless I take a few days off or go up drastically in weight/workout length, I’m really not sore at all anymore. Hang in there! This. Also, if you're sore, light movement is actually better than sitting around. Light movement sends blood to the muscles which will warm and loosen them. Sitting around will cramp them up more. Go for a walk or something!

Hi all! Haven’t checked in recently, but wanted to announce to everyone who will listen that I am down to to my highest pre-pandemic weight!!!! I’m down almost 10 pounds from June when I finally braced the scale after 16 months. My clothes are fitting better and my face looks less puffy. Been going to daily classes at the gym and generally just trying to eat smaller portion sizes/less snacks. Finally feeling good/normal.

I'm on your bench, caer. I freaking LOVE Moana. I also don't hate Frozen. I didn't have time for the HCOF stack tonight, but I did to RK's 20 minute Disney bodyweight, and it was just ok. The music was good, but it felt like a super easy class. But that's ok I guess, fun and flirty is on-brand for Disney. I also did a 30 minute PZ endurance ride with Olivia. I haven't done PZ anything since I finished the program. Endurance rides are kinda boring but I guess that's the point.

Also a fan of Moana and Frozen (2 in particular). My boys watched both of those on repeat for nearly all of early quarantine last year and I never tired of them.

No workout for me today. My MIL came over to "help" with continuing our reorganization/clean out (pretty much just distracted H) so that was my whole morning. Then we took the boys mini golfing and once we came home the whole evening got wrapped up with our dog. He has a mass on his tail, which needs to be amputated in a little over a week. It opened up over the weekend and now keeps bleeding profusely, especially when he pulls off the bandage. We came home to a horrific scene today that took hours to clean up and to get him properly bandaged again. My kids were also assholes most of the day and then took forever to fall asleep, so a shower was all I could manage tonight.
Determined to exercise tomorrow!

SSB for me tonight because my arm is being dumb again and my coach is trying to give it a little break. 310 for stupid easy doubles (looks like that is a 15lb PR).
Pull ups are still stupid as hell.
Back on track with food after yesterday. I ended up the 6g of fiber yesterday. 6. That is awful.

2 mile race on Thursday. Hot and humid and a little rain but I listened to a 30 minute 80s run with Matty. It was a nice change from my running playlist.
Took a rest day on Friday.
Not sure what I'm doing this morning.
