I did a 30 min broadway pride ride with Sam and loved it!! He had choreography for All that Jazz, and damn it got me in a good mood. so fun.
My fitness is essentially gone, my output was less than half. That's ok. I'm going to reduce my expectations and start again and keep focusing on fun.
I still want to do the stack today (core and pilates) at some point!

Hi, all. We’re all fighting a summer cold right now so I’m feeling blah. I did a workout - I didn’t have 100% to give today but I’m glad I got something in. - 10 minute core with Ben - 30 minute rock boot camp with Andy - Easy 1 mile run/walk - 10 minute floor poses yoga with Aditi

First day of school here! Much excite.
I wasn't able to make it to Cody's Disney ride yesterday live, so I'll stack it for tomorrow. Today I am planning to run at lunch. I've figured out a nearly 2mile loop that goes through the public golf course that's near me.
Fingers crossed the kids have good days at school. My anxious 2nd grader has never had a normal year of school and thinks school is terrible, I'm really hoping to turn it around this year. His teacher is AMAZING. Bless alllll the teachers, for real.

Never did my flash 15 yesterday, so I got up and did that first thing this morning, and then went for a run after the kids went off to school, so I'm good for the day!
I was going to do the disney yoga class on demand tomorrow morning, but she's not feeling well and it got cancelled, so I'll have to find something else instead for the morning.

We met with DS' teacher earlier this week and it sounds like teachers are hyper-aware of this grade never having had a normal year of school, and giving a lot of thought to how to make them feel comfortable in the classroom and with the routines. Again, BLESS THE TEACHERS.

Good afternoon.
I didn’t get a workout in yesterday but I did get in a lot of steps, which is better than nothing considering I was in a car for 5 hours.
Today I did 45 min Hip Hop ride w/Robin

Squeezed in week 3 class 2 of the You Can Run program today on my lunch break and picked up 2 miles. I've really enjoyed this week's focus on cadence! I also love that the instructors keep saying "you're doing it! You're a runner!"
DS2's school counselor sent me a breathless email right before I left saying that he's having the BEST day at school and she's so excited for him, so that gave me a little extra joy in my stride!

I hit my 50K meter milestone on my rower tonight. My shoulder has been bothering me, so I’ve decided to stop focusing on any of the stats, and concentrate only on form with some long rows. I think I tweaked it trying to take a few seconds off my split time 😬 Hoping that careful attention to form and icing after workouts will fix it without taking time off.

So tonight I did a 10 min scenic followed by a 15 min scenic run. On the second run my wi-fi disconnected and the tread halted to a stop and took me back to the passcode screen. Luckily for me, I do not run fast at all. 🤣 But I was beating my previous PR, so by the time I got the wifi reconnected and the passcode put in, I was way behind. I cranked up my incline and somehow still managed to get ahead and get a new PR.
But! This was my 50th run and I did not get a badge for it. There *is* a 50 run badge. What the heck? So many weird things happened in such a short time. 🤣🤣

I never got my workout in today, but I did spend 4 hours moving boxes and items in cleaning out and organizing my garage. So at least I was active.
Hoping to get in a long run tomorrow morning. I am going to do a live ride with my sister on Sat for her bday, which is usually my running day, so I’m going to switch it up. Hopefully I can get up and moving early enough to be able to get it done!

Deadlifts and bench went well last night. My forearm is still being an ass goblin. Had an appointment today and everything is tight from my wrist to my neck. Yay. Some stretching and heat for that tonight.
I had a lovely eating day planned and it went sideways due to going out for a coworkers birthday. I was going to get a salad with chicken and quinoa and Farro and I was like this is dumb. I can make that. So I ordered something else and it was great. And then we had pizza which was also great. And my lunch is already made for tomorrow since I didn't eat it today. #winning

I needed to close my Move ring after work so I did the Disney ride from yesterday — every bit as delightful as I imagined! Just perfect.

20 minute strength with runners with Becs this morning followed by 10 minute core with Andy this morning. Otherwise, I've just been keeping up with my PT exercises after work. I hope to get a walk in over lunch.

Morning.
30 minute Disney run with Becs 5 minute core with Jess Sims Flash 15
I kept the run as a recovery, easy paces and walking recoveries. My hips are feeling a bit beat up today. That core was nice, different from the usual onslaught of crunch varieties.
I'm still struggling with snacking and I think my cycle is the culprit. I'm cutting back drastically on breastfeeding and feel like my period is coming; loads of cramps and bloating and increased appetite. But my ovaries are in a heated fight to restart my cycle against my BCP. The pills I'm on have zero placebo pills. Like none, ever, so they are relentlessly shoving hormones at my ovaries and my poor uterus is painfully confused in the crossfire. It's kind of miserable and I'm half tempted to just take a week off my BCP. I don't know, but my lower midsection feels very angry. Whatever is brewing in there needs to just just show up and get it over with. I haven't had a period since November 2019 so I'm sure whatever is coming at me is going to be horrid.
Planning to try to keep food decent. Homemade fish tacos for lunch and chicken stuffed with feta, sundried tomato, and spinach with salad for dinner. Protein bar for breakfast. Snacks will fall where they may I guess. Going to try to stick to fruit and yogurt. We'll see.

"Sabotaged" my diet Wednesday afternoon :/ Wasn't able to workout yesterday. And drank waaaay too much wine last night. No idea how I got up this am but I got it done. AM hour long body pump ETA- I forgot my apple watch so it's like I didn't even get that workout in. So annoying! 30 minutes 80s ride with Leanne.
TGIF!

Nothing major here this week. Just an evening stroll yesterday while the buyer did their walk through.
Our hand me down treadmill has always had issues (never was able to get the incline to zero, it always stopped at 1) so while we were trying to figure that out we noticed a crack in the weld at the front, I’m so glad it never broke while we were on it!!! Also yay for not having to move a treadmill and I guess that will be an added expense at some point, as I am not anticipating that I will love running in the cold.

My Peloton pet peeve is when an instructor takes a break and people go all crazy constantly asking where they are at and why they are off. I understand we all have favorites, but there are so many instructors to choose from that I could never be so upset that the instructor I want is not on the schedule for a week or two.

I think it's so weird when people are like OMG DID THEY QUIT it's like.... they are professional athletes. you can't expect them to put out with no breaks/injuries. Also have you ever heard of professional development?! besides vacation adn sick time, I'm sure some of their work duties are off the bike/tread completely too. It's insane to me to wonder if someone quit when they are off the schedule for the week.

I don’t get upset, but I do feel like Peloton is lacking in quality runs, so when someone like Matt doesn’t have a class for a while I get a bit annoyed because that means I end up repeating other classes. I am warming up to some of the other instructors, but I feel like it’s not the same for what I’m looking for. However- I don’t own a Peloton tread and I don’t plan on ever getting one, so I’m definitely not their target customer there and have no real room to complain. I do feel like there is tons of content on the bike and I’ve never had the same problem- I only repeat classes that were super fun and because I want to do them again, not because of a lack of a certain type of workout/instructor.

Yeah, I agree with this. I’m not going to complain when an instructor takes a week or two for vacation or recovery or whatever. But when Jess Sims was gone for months without explanation, yeah, I was sad because there is no substitute for her tread boot camps IMO. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with expressing that you miss an instructor. 🤷🏼♀️

I'm also here. The bike content is great! There is a ton to pick from all the time and I usually struggle on what to settle on. The running content is severely lacking though. There are days where only one or two new runs are added and they're 20 minute runs. If you go way back they had Matty, Selena, Becs, Wilpers, and Jess Sims for running and they all did 45 and 60 minute classes on the regular. Now we're lucky if one 45 minute class comes out per week and there's only ever one 60 minute class every few weeks. And they've added running instructors! Honestly, they need a few more running instructors and they need to beef up their running schedule. We do plan to upgrade to a peloton tread at some point and I'm going to be crabby if I spend that kind of money to only be given a single 20 minute HIIT run on any given day.

Yeah, you have a point about the tread content. I guess I do more bike workouts, so I don't notice it as much, but I wonder if part of that is due to the recall?

that's super true, I hadn't thought of the run content part of it. There really aren't very many live runs to start with.

I feel the same way about the outdoor content. There's just.....not a lot of recent ones to chose from. There's only 2-3 added per week, so if I'm not into a power walk or an intervals run (which are the two added this week) then I'm either out of luck or scrolling waaaaaayyyyyy back to find something else.

I don't think so. The schedule wasn't anymore plush pre recall.
