Leg day with the trainer today. I would be happy if I never had to do lunges again. Mostly every other leg exercise I'm ok with but fuuuuck I hate lunges. But I know they are incredibly effective so I guess I'll keep doing them.... lol.

sunshinedaisies, don't be so hard on yourself. You cannot, will not lose all of your progress overnight or even in a handful of weeks. Even if it will seem like it when you start back. It takes a lot longer lose progress than to gain it in the first place and while the first week or two back might seem like a huge mountain, it will start to smooth out fairly quickly after that. Can you reschedule the golf weekend and do something else for his actual birthday weekend? Tell him he gets two celebrations. Appreciate the kind words. As for rescheduling, he’s suggested the same thing. But it’s a place you have to book pretty far in advance, plus I am scheduled to go to trial starting in September for 6-8 weeks, so this really is the only time I could go (unless it gets cancelled, please get cancelled🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻) until next Spring.

I'm pages and pages behind. I hope everyone has been doing well and sweating and kicking ass as usual. I had an active vacation. We rented bikes and rode on the beach (slowest 3 miles ever with a 5 yo on a bike with training wheels!!) Lots of swimming. Eating was ok. Back at it this week. I may have just found my next half - Lighthouse Loop on 10/23. I have been stewing too, at dinner on Friday night we were talking about how the group my h was working for had a 5k scheduled for Saturday. It was determined, I couldn't participate due to him having to work which was ok. but in the conversation he said, but they are real runners..... HOLD UP. What the F. Am I not a real runner. He tried to say well they get up early and are done before their 7:15 meeting. I am sorry, just because I am not super fast doesn't make me a fake runner. I am still pissed. So i guess i should correct what I said earlier; I found my next fake half marathon, where i will pretend to be a runner. Ugh that’s so frustrating. The time of day and how fast someone runs is not what makes then a runner. I’m sorry your H devalued your hard work.

5 min warm up with Emma 20 min mood ride with Ben (first mood ride, I loved the disclaimer before the ride started) 😅 10 min climb ride with Tunde (got a PR here) 5 min stretch

Yesterday: 10 min core w/ Callie 10 min glutes & legs w/ Chase 10 min climb ride w/ Olivia
Today: 10 min core w/ Ben 20 min full body strength w/ Robin 20 min hip hop ride w/ Hannah C
Food has been good, doing okay with getting water in. Tomorrow will either be a total rest day or a yoga/low impact kind of day. We’ll see 🤷♀️

After work today I ran 2 mi to a 20 minute 90s hip hop run. The run felt so much better than any other of my recent ones despite it being just as hot, and my pace was good, so that was very encouraging. Food has been mostly good but I'm definitely fluffier recently and my clothes are looking a little less flattering, so I need to reign in my food. I've been saying it all summer, but it needs to be true very soon.

I got in a 30 minute ride with Cody this morning and walked a mile this afternoon. My legs felt heavy during the ride but improved about halfway in. I’m going to try to make an effort to work in at least two rides a week to mix up my cardio a bit from just running.

This morning my app wasn't working for eva!! But finally i managed to figure out how to make it work and fit in a 20 min 2000's walk with jess simms. Tonight is running group.

Frustrating weekend for me. Since I last posted, I’m pretty sure I either tore or strained my back in 2 places on my right side. I felt a few twinges starting last Tuesday on my run, but I just thought it was the typical sore muscles so I kept doing workouts. Really started noticing pain on Friday so I tried to limit use of it over the weekend. That clearly didn’t work because I woke up yesterday and couldn’t move it at all without serious pain. So my arm is now in a sling so I won’t use it at all. As if I’m not frustrated enough - I feel like I’m losing all of my hard earned progress - this weekend I planned a kid-free overnight golf trip for MH’s 40th, with several rounds of golf scheduled for us. There’s zero chance I can do that now, so I’m feeling extra down that I ruined his birthday trip. He’s been super understanding but he’s been talking about these courses for years so i feel awful. Oh man, I'm so sorry you're hurting. Back pain is no joke. Don't these things always happen when you make plans? I'm glad you're H is being understanding about it. And I know you know this, but you're not losing your progress! Focus on resting up and giving yourself some grace.

Hey hey!
Yesterday I did the full body 20 min with Robin, 10 min bodyweight with Ben (I really like these for some reason), 10 min core with Ben, and a 10 min low impact ride with Sam.
Yesterday was my DS's last Tuesday "day camp" sort of thing at this church (I am not very religious but do like a free camp, lol) so I went there for a luncheon with him. They made homemade cheesesteaks for us which was an interesting choice, but delicious. We went to the county fair in the evening and I had a gyro, which is always amazing, and a few bites of this pulled pork mac n cheese that H got. I consider it a win that I didn't get any ice cream or cheesecake on a stick, though I wanted to, haha. It definitely helps that H is being mindful of his eating too because if he had gotten dessert, I definitely would have.
Food should be back on track today. I will be doing the HCOTF arms stack here in a bit.

Just got in from a super sweaty slow 5 mile run. The temp isn’t bad but the humidity is at 98%! I could literally wring out my clothes.
Yesterday was crazy busy but I got up and got an hour on my bike. Today will be another crazy day starting with taking my kid to high school readiness day! Can she skip if I’m not ready?
I also got stung by a bee this morning. A hive was in the street and I went to pick it up thinking it was grocery sack and got too close. I didn’t have my glasses on so...

That's it for me. We're going to an amusement park today compliments of H's work, which not only includes park entrance but a private tent space with catered food. So yeah, I'll do a ton of walking but I have no freaking clue what my food situation will be.

Good morning! Today was supposed to be a rest day, but I took the dogs for a walk before my meeting this morning and it felt so good to be outside and moving. So I downloaded the 30 min Rock run with Selena and will be lacing up my shoes as soon as this meeting is over. I was all in on a rest day too - I'm already showered and everything!

I did Run 1 from You Can Run this morning as well as the walk/run from the Alison Felix program. (40 mins total walk/run).
It was buffering hell though. I hate my new phone carrier, I have zero ability to stream. I was really excited to do these programs but I don't know how I'm going to do it with the buffering, it was madness. I had already clocked 10 minutes of walking by the time the class got to 5 minutes. I hate that the android app is so lame compared to apple, otherwise I would just preload.
I have a work dinner tonight but I am hoping to have something good (like seafood or steak).

I get the not a real runner thing for being a treadmill runner, personally. It's always a fun call out. I'm on board with the bury train. What!? Who says that? Did you ask whatever Dickbag says you're not a real runner because you stick to the treadmill how many miles they've run on a treadmill over the YEARS of treadmill running they do? Right because they don't. Because they are assholes. Comes up many times in running groups. "It's not as hard, the treadmill does the work for you, on and on and on....". Good times.
