I finished Confessions on 7:45, 4 stars a little predictable at the end but still kept me entertained. Back to Girl A tomorrow.

Finished Final Girl Support Group and I REALLY really liked it. I'm waiting to see how my feelings will settle because sometimes my opinion changes a bit after a few days. It didn't feel like Grady Hendrix's other books for some reason. It didn't have the kind of humor the others have. But it made me feel like I was watching a slasher flick as I read which was fun. (It's also super graphic and disturbing, fyi.) Ooh I was considering this one but not sure about it. I think I'll try it now!

I finished Jessica Simpson’s book last night, and wow, I really hate John Mayer now. Well that makes me intrigued. I stopped at the bookstore last night and bought a copy of The Artist's Way. I have listened to it before but I want to commit to doing the 12 weeks as well as the morning pages and weekly artist dates as something to do for myself.

I finished Burn you Twice by Mary Burton last night. It was ok. It kept me interested and I liked the characters but I figured out the murderer early on. I started Shiver last night. Hopefully it is a bit better.

Just finished the new Jasmine Guillory. I really liked it, it’s my favorite so far. I wonder if she got a better editor. Her writing has gotten so much tighter, more show, less tell.

I'm extra excited now! I love her anyway. She's been on the Forever35 podcast a few times and seems like a genuinely good human.

This is next on my list. 😁 I’m definitely adding her other books to my list! The Alice Network was amazing! I started The Rose Code on my flight this morning and was kind of sad to put it away 😂

My library is taking forever. I may need to just suck it up and buy it because it is exactly the book I need right now.

I've also started the Cuban Girl's Guide to Tea and Tomorrow. It's YA and the teen angst is cranked high. It's taking work to stick with it.

Oh, this is actually good to know. This was a huge problem I had with her first book, so much so that I had no desire to read any of the other ones. (Among other issues...but I'd be willing to give her another try knowing at least one thing was getting better.)

I LOVE YA and this book was a little meh for me...in fact, I was actually surprised at all the accolades it received. My library checkout actually expired before I finished because it was taking so long for me to get through it.

I’m intimidated by the length of The Rose Code. It goes fast because it’s so good though right?

I finished The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz. It’s a slow burn but I really enjoyed it! The author also wrote You Should Have Known which was made into the movie The Undoing on HBO with Nicole Kidman. Also loved Project Hail Mary!

Read The Final Girl Support Group. It was darker and weirder than I expected, but I really liked it.

I finished Who is Maud Dixon? and I mostly liked it. I thought the quality of the writing was better than most thrillers. The plot was a bit slow and the twists weren’t too shocking, but overall it was a good read.
I’m going to stick with thrillers and read The Good Lie by A.R. Torre next.

I just finished Our Woman in Moscow. It was very readable but so damn predictable that I’m not sure how to rate it. I gave it a 3, but I’m tempted to change that to a 2.

I somehow ended up reading all of the All Saints High series by LJ Shen and have now started on the Sinners of Saints ones.

Just finished the new Jasmine Guillory. I really liked it, it’s my favorite so far. I wonder if she got a better editor. Her writing has gotten so much tighter, more show, less tell. The two books of hers i’ve read had decent stories but I thought they were pretty poorly written. I’ll have to add this one to my list to see if I like it better.

I just finished Red Widow, I think I heard about it here. I haven't read a thriller in a while so it was a nice change of pace.
I'm starting Some Girls Bite next. Fantasy and urban fantasy are my world these days.

I DNF The Summer Job. I strongly disliked the main character enough that I couldn’t go on.
