June Books: An American Marriage The Viscount Who Loved Me (2nd Bridgerton book) Last Summer at the Golden Hotel
I liked them all, but they were all wildly different.
In July I'm planning: Clash of Kings (second book in the GoT series) The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper The Floating Feldmans
I have a week of vacation coming up, so I may read more, but on the other hand, Clash of Kings is huge. So we will see.

June reads:
Golden Girl **** Malibu Rising **** People We Meet on Vacation *
I am halfway through Meet Me in Paradise and so far it's a very pleasant surprise. It wasn't on my radar at all but it was a Kindle deal of the day and I'm enjoying it a lot. I can't rate it yet though. June was pretty disappointing overall. Golden Girl and Malibu Rising were both fine but not fantastic. I hated People We Meet on Vacation so much.
The only July book I'm really looking forward to is While We Were Dating by Jasmine Guillory. I still have a few from May and June to read as well--Pack Up the Moon and The Soulmate Equation.

My favorite read from June was The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I feel like I'm late to the game with that, but I really enjoyed the audiobook.
For July I need to finish Soulmate Equation. Next in my queue are Alice Network, Tiny Pretty Things, Howard's End, and Golem Girl.

Summer of 79 wasn’t great, FYI. And I enjoyed Summer of 69 for the most part. I would give 79 two stars, I think.

It’s been a while since I read summer of 69, but I liked the follow up. I also just read the 6th wedding, which was a novella follow up to 28 summers and I liked it a lot.

I June I read Twice Shy Float Plan People We Meet on Vacation
I also DNFed a few books that didn't grab me
I'm currently reading a YA called Recommended For You. It's about a bookstore, which is cute.
I was hoping I would be halfway to my 2021 book goal by now, but I'm a little behind. Hopefully I can get a little caught up in July, but it's hard with being home with the kids and in grad school. I'll keep trying, though!

I didn't like Beach Read either but the premise of People We Meet on Vacation sounded good so I read it anyways. I hate the characters and it's my favorite genre so I held it to a high standard. Maybe I should give it two stars.

So I am listening to Southern Book Club's Guide to Vampire Slaying - guys, what in the world have I gotten myself into? I'm about halfway through and it is generally enjoyable and then they drop horribly graphic scenes of violence. Then it's back to this nice Southern Lady who is suspicious of a mysterious newcomer. It's very jarring.

It's very jarring. His books are all like this, I think! I just finished Horrorstor today. All three of the books I've read by him are so..... weird. I love his style, but if someone said they absolutely hated every single one, I would totally get it lol.
