Body Pump + Les Mills sprint spin class done- I've beat my goal and have the highest caloric monthly burn since I started keeping track (which is when I finally broke down and bought an apple watch 2 years ago.) One more workout to go, tomorrow morning.
I'm beat.
B- sprouted bread with an egg, micro greens, and some cheese and fruit. L- quinoa salad D- ?

Good morning. Today I did: - 10 minute core with Emma - 10 minute arms toning with Hannah - easy 3 mile run
Heading to the pool later so I’ll get some swimming in as well.

Well yesterday's woosh stuck apparently. If my Libra trend stays, I will hit the next weight class by the end of the year. What the actual fuck. Now it's just a question of which happens first- my weight loss stalling out or the bottom falling out of one of my lifts. Speaking of shitty lifts- one of my accessory lifts today is tempo dips. A 4 second down count (1-thousand 1, 1-thousand 2, and so on for the count). What in the actual fuck. <--- This will be my exact comment to my coach on this nonsense.

Woof.
Long run, 12 miles, done. SO DONE. My legs are so done. The last three were pretty rough, freaking baby was up SO MUCH last night. My legs are so done. I'm not going to be able to walk tonight. Ugh.
I did a 60 minute marathon prep run and a 60 minute intervals run both with Becs. The marathon run prep was perfect and I wish I had known the class layout or I would have flip flopped the runs. It was a progressive race pace run, all about understanding pacing. Excellent run. Love Becs.
I need to do a lot of stretching today. My right IT band was barking the last few miles so some yoga might need to happen too.
Getting ready to shower then head to lunch with MIL. I will inhale whatever the hell I want. No shame.

I haven't checked in in a bit - same old, same old. 3rd morning of CF this week, I think I need to incorporate more running. I should look around to see if there are any 10k or half marathons coming up in the near future. I need something to motivate me to get out there.
I'm at the higher end of my weight right now and my pants are getting tight. I keep trying to track my macros, but it's just not sticking this time. Frustrating.

Hi all,
I took Mon/Tues off, same as last week and I think 5 days/week (Wed-Sun) is the sweet spot for me right now.
I started Week 5 of Beginner Strength and we add in an extra workout for this week and next (the final week).
- 10 min Warm Up with Olivia - 30 min Upper Body with Matty (a nice mix of everything, making the time fly; I'm still using 5 lbs as I've found really focusing on my form, including core, amps up the moves without the need to add additional weight back just yet) - 10 min Stretch with Matty

I did a bike/run brick yesterday. That was an interesting new experience. I think I like it for once a week.

Hello from the farm! Seriously. Our vacation spot is a small farm with a pool and it's awesome.
I have walked and swum every day, no daily chips and dip (deliberately did not buy junk food at the grocery run), and my hip and leg pain is gone. I don't know exactly why, but it's great and I don't want it to come back.

It’s my day to walk the dog before H leaves for work, which normally I don’t mind but since I had to skip my run yesterday when he got called in unexpectedly on his day off I’m feeling cranky about it. I love summer but fitting in runs with no gym childcare yet is so tricky!
30 minute house walk with Rebecca 10 minute chest and back with Rebecca 10 minute strength for runners with Wilpers

My "just 5 more minutes" this morning turned into 30 and I didn't hop on the treadmill like I planned. Food should be on point, though.
B: Cauliflower crust and scrambled egg AM Snack: dried coconut and a bit of cookies and cream bar L: Quinoa burrito bowl D: Roasted potato and pineapple sausage

I took a rest day yesterday, very rare for me to take a real rest day - my only walks were while I was on the phone (in meetings that I just need to listen to) or with DD.
I got up this morning and did a 10 minute warm up + flash 15 (Holiday themed!) And will hopefully walk and/or swim this afternoon with the family.

Another day with the trainer here. Back, biceps, and a lot of core, woof. My abs will be feeling that tomorrow.

Hello! I realize it’s kind of late in the month to jump in but MH decided to finally take the plunge and buy a Peloton today. It’s getting here Friday morning so I’m looking forward to hopefully making my sporadic exercise regimen more regular.
If anyone has tips for someone that knows zero things about Peloton, and once had a medium-sized screaming and crying breakdown while riding her bike over a bridge in Chicago, please let me know!

I mostly use Peloton for running and strength program but I’ve found them to be VERY beginner friendly. As long as you have the bike and shoes, you’re good to go. There are lots of beginner programs but you can also just try different classes and do what you can - there’s no pressure! I don’t bike at all (like on a regular bike) but still do the spin classes.

I’ve had a digital membership for awhile and done a handful of the strength classes so I have a teensy bit of familiarity with that stuff. But I’ve never (that I can remember) done a studio cycle class. At least there won’t be any cars whistling by while I I cry and shout “That one almost touched me!” to MH.

filingjointly I was completely new to peloton. I recommend the 10-minute Matt Wilper beginner rides. They are really good to make sure you have your form correct. I didn't take my first one until I was a month in and I was all sorts of messed up. I did some rides for mastering the basics and some from intro to Peloton to get a feel for the different classes. I'm a big fan of the 20-minute rides and fit in one 30-minute ride once a week. I love the strength classes and I'm just getting into yoga.

B: peanut butter toast L: chicken burger and salad D: steakhouse rubbed pork chops and Avocado Caeser salad.

Welcome to our cult… I mean club. You can filter by class type and pick “Beginner” to see all of the beginner and advanced beginner rides. They definitely helped me in the beginning with getting my technique correct. Also, I think all of us went through a couple weeks where we were certain we’d need a seat cushion but then our butts adapted.

Hey y’all. I took the last four days off to rest, stretch, foam roll, and ice my shins. I feel almost back at 100% so I’ll probably go for a run tomorrow. I don’t have anywhere to do a fit test for shoes within an hour of me so I did some research and did the wet foot test to check what was recommended. If I feel like embarrassing myself in front of my neighbors some more, I might have DH record me running so I can check my gait. But for now I’m going to stick with the shoes I already have. I looked to see what they were and they are New Balance 880s which it turns out are actually pretty highly reviewed neutral running shoes 🤦♀️😂 I’m going to keep an eye on how my shins are doing and I might try to find a trail to try out to avoid road running if I can.
I don’t know if I’ll be able to catch up on all the pages I missed but I hope everyone is having an awesome week!

I have a very large butt and it was sore in the beginning, but it got better quickly. You can start with 10-15 min rides to acclimate.

I took a rest day today, I had planned to ride the bike but I had a late meeting after summer school this morning and I am still super sore after yesterday's workout. Packing my running stuff for after work tomorrow. The temps should be cooler so hoping I can easily fit in the 3 miles I need to get.

I haven’t been riding lately and did a ride this week and will need to re-acclimate. I guess that’s good incentive for me to be more consistent again.

I did a Flash 15 today and man, those are no joke. I added 10 min core w/ Emma & a 10 min climb ride w/ Ally Love. Closed my rings today, food was decent and the scale dropped a good bit this morning. Not a bad way to end the month.
