This will be one of the downsides to having 3 kids with almost 4 year age gaps between, for sure. But it helps that this will mostly fall on H and he is willing to do it. 😂 Our school is Pk-8th, thankfully. They'll have one year together (2022:8th, 3rd, Pk), then dd1 will be off to HS.

I got my second Moderna two weeks ago today. Celebrating by getting a water heater tomorrow morning LOL. Everyone will still be masked, of course. ' The only prep I did for the plumber was to clear my little entry way area and empty out my tiny utility room as much as possible. And have some bottled water for him and any associates, and those Trader Joe single serve trail mix ten packs. I'm still surprised how much 'stuff' there was, and I realize I could do a better job of cleaning that utility room more often! I don't think I want to know how many dust bunnies et al may be behind the old water heater. This is 100% more prep than I do when people work in my house. You provide snacks?!

Second question of the day: My pilea peperomioides’ leaves curl under like this and the internet tells me it’s either underwatered or overwatered... how can I tell which? I water when the soil is dry, probably every 5 days or so? Sometimes the leaves uncurl after being watered but not always. I also mist every few days. Or is it some other problem? STP @wasabi Betweenthelines Also I have zero idea how to say peperomioides out loud. Dammit Tapatalk won’t let me post a picture. You could probably water less. I do once a week, sometimes a few days longer. Or maybe just cut the misting. Mine also get really happy looking after I fertilize them. I watched a video on them once and was very wow at the way peperomoides was said out loud. Very not how I said it in my head, lol. I’m glad I asked because my instinct was to water more. I really need to hear someone say it. Off to Google.

piratecat any time I have trouble with a plant the internet tells me I'm either over or under watering. HOW DO YOU TELL?! I still don't know. I'm not great at plants.

I am dragging today. DD1 was up for the day at 4am. I heard her. I couldn’t fall back to sleep though. In her defense she did try to go back to sleep but couldn’t.
I am trying to pack but that isn’t going well. At all.

I totally get it. I just know what a relief it is was when I didn't have to do three drop offs and pick ups anymore. I need to add this in my pro column for staying in the city. If we stay where we are the kids will always attend really walkable schools and will be able to walk themselves from about 4th grade on, so I should never have more drop offs than I do now. We need to change DS to a closer location for preschool this fall and that will make my morning milk run even shorter! I wish his current location had a preschool room too but they outgrew the house they’re in and had to move half the program and it’s way too far for us on foot. Since this post is already too long, I’m excited to tell you I found an interior designer that we already love the work of (she did our offices at work lol) and she is excited to do our entry, office, and dining room projects! I just sent off a bunch of pictures, measurements and inspiration ideas and I can’t wait to see what she comes back with.

I feel awful and mortified and embarrassed. Our cat got into a fight with a neighbor’s dog on Saturday. MH was home and handled it. Fast forward to today, I got a message from the neighbor. Apparently my cat bit and scratched the dog and the owner. Now the dog has a fever and a huge abscess. My cat was spooked and hid but started behaving more like himself so we didn’t think anything of it. I am at the vet now just to get him checked out. I feel terrible abo the whole situation. The neighbor was polite about it but ugh. I wish I was home when it happened. I don’t let him (cat) out when those dogs are outside.

Lord save me. My mom is flipping out because DS went from a 4 to a 3 in music this quarter and the teacher used the same copy paste statement she used last quarter, something about completed most assignments. She is stuck on that word and is ranting he did all his assignments. Imma need some chill in this woman.

I put my pork roast in the crockpot while I was on my lunch break, but just realized that I didn't plug it in.

Especially the high school. That will help; too!

we live opposite the elementary and middle schools (which starts at grade 5) so it will be great when DS is old enough to take himself to school in the morning. My concern is after school from grade 5 because his after care doesn't pickup from the middle but i'm not sure he'll be old enough to be home alone for 2.5 hours at that age.

It's extra annoying that the public catholic elementary goes to 6th grade so the aftercare does pickup there until 6th but only 4th for public non-denominational. But i shan't get started on my rant about public funded catholic school
