I’m changing my dentist and primary care doctor and it feels like breaking up. It’s not me, it’s you! I hate this. I tried to break up with my PCP once and the other doc left town shortly after my first appointment, so I went back to the one I broke up with (she was the only one at the practice I could get in to see without a ridiculous wait). It was awkward. I broke up with my OB and then went back to them for various reasons and well, that was obviously a terrible decision.

I got my second Moderna two weeks ago today. Celebrating by getting a water heater tomorrow morning LOL. Everyone will still be masked, of course. '
The only prep I did for the plumber was to clear my little entry way area and empty out my tiny utility room as much as possible. And have some bottled water for him and any associates, and those Trader Joe single serve trail mix ten packs.
I'm still surprised how much 'stuff' there was, and I realize I could do a better job of cleaning that utility room more often! I don't think I want to know how many dust bunnies et al may be behind the old water heater.

This sounds amazing! By the way I took your advice and we called a family friend we know who does landscaping and we got a quote for $200 cheaper. Good thing since they guy who we originally were going to use went AWOL for a week and a half. Awesome! I thought the original quote seemed a little steep. Yes! and the new guy will mow and edge so it keeps H from having to do it on the weekends.

Tried Hello Fresh a few years ago but the vegetarian selection was kinda repetitive so stopped. Anyway last year I saw some ad where they made it sound like a good deal. Anyway after clicking and looking on the website I saw the catch and thought forget it. Then the next week I received an email saying your Hello Fresh is on the way! I was all panicky, turned out they still had my details on file and somehow I guess I clicked something that meant I wanted it. Anyway they were fine with refunding me and as it was already on the way I got some free meals. Even the non-vegetarian ones get repetitive. They will change it a little, but it's basically the same as one from a couple week prior.

How long is an IUD string supposed to be? I thought they cut it pretty short but I can feel it loopdy-looping. Does that mean it has moved? I would say it varies. Have you always been able to feel it since it's been inserted, or is this a change? MW could always feel mine, and so could I - the strings were pretty low. I’m embarrassed to say this is the first time I’ve remembered to check for it. But I asked my H and he said he hasn’t noticed and it would have bene very noticeable.

We've been super happy with HelloFresh but I hadn't used it for years and then started again a few months ago.
For us there's more than enough variety and we've liked almost every recipe we've had but we don't have any dietary restrictions.
We've only had one ingredient mix up and I got a refund easily over the app.
We're still in lockdown so it's nice to not have to mentally think about meal planning more than just picking out recipes once a week.
I don't think I'll use it forever but definitely right now it's so great to have.

Hello. I have been busy thinking ahead to the fall. The elementary school where DD1 did preschool eliminated their preschool program due to covid (because teaching preschool virtually would be a shitshow, I imagine). BUT they have a 4s and TK joint program that’s free (something our district is stating to do) and DD2 could join even before her 4th bday in November. This would require 3 drop offs and potentially 3 pickups (depending on if DCP can do pickup for DD2) when baby starts day care, but I’m stoked at the idea. DD2 is ready for a more structured environment; and she could be there 2 years since her bday falls within the TK window anyway.
At least the 3 sites are all within a couple miles of each other. H would have to do a lot of it, at least after my mat leave is over, and he was open to it.
Anyway. Happy Tuesday!

Does anyone use Thrive cosmetics? I think I'm going to try their mascara and eyebrow pencil. I saw that if you refer a friend you both get $10 off, so I'm willing to share my email with someone who wants to send me a referral?? The mascara wasn’t my fave, neither was the gel eyeliner. The eye brightened is kind of neat? I don’t think I would buy it again, though. This probably isn’t what you’re looking for. 😂

I would not do 3 drop off and pick ups unless absolutely necessary or for a very limited amount of time. That can be such a time sink. But if your other options suck then obviously it's doable.

The only other option really is DD not going to preschool, and just staying with DCP full time for another year until TK. Any form of preschool for her will include an additional dropoff, unfortunately. Between DD1 elementary, DD2 preschool, and the baby in day care, there aren’t a ton of options. When DD1 did preschool, it was half day, and DCP was able to do drop off and pick up. I’m definitely going to see if that’s an option. Like I said though, everything is super close, so while each drop off takes additional time, nothing takes too long. We don’t have long car lines like other people seem to! And everything is right by our house which is fantastic.

This will be one of the downsides to having 3 kids with almost 4 year age gaps between, for sure.
But it helps that this will mostly fall on H and he is willing to do it. 😂

Today is my dad's last day of radiation! I think we're going to go to dinner to celebrate. Once DD is back next week, i plan to have a BBQ with the whole family (parents, my siblings and the grandkids) to really celebrate him!

I totally get it. I just know what a relief it is was when I didn't have to do three drop offs and pick ups anymore.

I am having a ROUGH day. Been up since 2am with my head pain. PMSing. Need to go home and take my gabapentin and nap. Luckily I can leave work in about half and hour (my late afternoons are my prep time at school) and just have to log on to a meeting this afternoon so I can at least be comfortable at home.

Ugh. I'm gonna be doing 3 different drop offs and pick ups in the Fall. Not looking forward to it. Luckily it's just the one year, then I will go back to 2 for a few years. My oldest two kids are only a year apart but the youngest is 4-5 years younger than them. So I will pretty much always be doing 2 different ones 🤣

This is the picture exH sent me last night. So it’s definitely looking worse and still really painful. He said he was going to make an appt today if it didn’t look any better. But I haven’t heard from him yet...probably won’t until he’s off work this evening 😢

Related to the "Teenage Identity" thread - I got a kudos from another mom at the park this weekend for calling DD1 (age 7) out on her asshole behavior. Obviously I didn't put it that way, but I could see her pulling some mean girl shenanigans while she was on the playground (could kind of hear her and could also see it in her body language). I called her over and basically told her to cut the crap and play nicely with everyone or we'd have to leave.
I feel like, if my kid is being bullied, I can protect her...but we will not tolerate mean girls in our household. There are enough of them out there already. You don't have to like everyone but you cannot be harmful towards others.

Second question of the day: My pilea peperomioides’ leaves curl under like this and the internet tells me it’s either underwatered or overwatered... how can I tell which? I water when the soil is dry, probably every 5 days or so? Sometimes the leaves uncurl after being watered but not always. I also mist every few days. Or is it some other problem? STP @wasabi Betweenthelines Also I have zero idea how to say peperomioides out loud. Dammit Tapatalk won’t let me post a picture. You could probably water less. I do once a week, sometimes a few days longer. Or maybe just cut the misting. Mine also get really happy looking after I fertilize them. I watched a video on them once and was very wow at the way peperomoides was said out loud. Very not how I said it in my head, lol.
